Michelin Premier LTX 

Ford Escape 2.0L Titanium SUV - These are the best tires I have ever purchased. These should have come standard with the vehicle from the dealer. Consumer Reports said it best - In the wet, these are the SUV tires that all others will be compared with. I 100% agree. Incredible grip in rain and snow. Quiet in the dry on the highway.

Exceeds my expectations of what a low-profile tire can do. Dry handling is satisfactory for vehicle type. Maintain the pressure at the manufacturer's recommendation and the ride comfort is what I expect. However, as little as 5psi can make a big difference. Wet handling is where this tire shines. Despite the wet wintertime conditions in the Pacific Northwest, these tires have gripped well and never allowed me to be surprised when hitting standing water. Off-road traction constantly impresses me for a street-oriented tire. I've exposed these tires to sharp rocks, dry hard-packed clay, moderately deep mud, and light sandy conditions. In fact, I cracked a rim during an exceptionality rough off-road excursion. Despite having to replace the rim, I had the same tire remounted and continue on it a year later. Point is, I've required more of these tires than I think they're designed for and they haven't disappointed. At 36K, treadwear appears to be on par with the expected tire life. I plan to purchase these tires again.

This is the best tire I've ever had on my Econoline. Although I don't drive the van much anymore, the ride is smooth and quiet. It feels stable in rainy conditions.

I was driving in all kinds of weather conditions the first two years living in Mn. Now live in Florida and drove the car towing a trailer all the way. I'm impressed on how well these tires performed. I am 66 years old and was not afraid driving in the snow, I felt safer than ever driving in bad weather the car held the road well. I am going to have to replace them soon and hope I can find them with the COVID-19 restrictions.

I live in FL where it down pours all the time. I bought these tires with hopes that the light rear end of my truck will still have wet traction when the tires are worn. To my surprise, these are the best all-around tires that I have ever owned. The dry traction, handling, grip, braking, cornering, and ride really don't leave anything to be desired. I'll take a slight harshness to have handling this fantastic. The wet grip, especially on worn tires at the end of their life, is outstanding. My rear tires aren't braking loose. I haven't had a problem hydroplaning or pulling to one side in the rain. I also have never worried about being able to brake hard. These are all around a fantastic tire. They don't excel in just one area, they excel in every single area except maybe ride comfort, but I'll leave a tiny bit of comfort for safety in all conditions. They wear evenly, do not ever get noisy, and they last the amount of time I expect on my truck, which is how long any other tire lasts on my trucks, which is about 25,000 miles.

My SQ5 came with the "AO" spec tire made by Continental from the factory, I use the OEM tire/rim set up for ~3 seasons and switch over to a dedicated winter tire/rim set up so my focus when looking at these Michelin tires was to get another "AO" spec tire for this car. The new Michelin's ride smoothly, handle well and I feel keep my SQ5 driving experience like the Audi engineers intended.
Yes, these tires are not low cost compared to other options but why am I going to be frugal when it comes to tires for a vehicle I paid this much money for? When you buy a European designed sports SUV you should realize the cost of maintenance replacement items will be expensive and I understand that.
These new Michelin's have meet my expectations and I would not hesitate buying another set when these have completed their service.

Great tires. I have oversized wheels and slightly larger tires, so hoping to get decent treadlife.
MPG star. Probably the best mpg of any tire in the all season class.
Compared to stock 19” Avid GT handling is better and more sure footed in wet conditions.
Then upgraded to 20” wheels with Firestone Firehawk, which was a huge jump in sporty handling at the cost of 8% mileage hit.
Premier LTX gave a 10% jump in mpg. Worth a tradeoff to me.
Also excellent noise characteristics. If you are a normal or easygoing driver, these tires are hard to beat in terms of daily use at the exception of decreased tread life compared to the 90k mile champs. But those have a slightly harsher ride due to harder rubber.

The Tire Rack experience was excellent. The tires ride very nice and are much quieter than our last set of a different brand.

Horrible tread wear. 25000 miles with alignment and rotation at Lexus dealer every 5k miles and car wouldn’t pass inspection with tread wear at 2/32. I’ll never purchase another Michelin product. Overpriced and keep in mind these are rated for 60k. Unacceptable.

Not at all what I expected from a Michelin. Horrible tread wear. 33,000 miles with 1 alignment and standard maintenance/rotation every 5-6k miles. Tires were past their wear bars when they were changed. This was the second LTX set on the vehicle with the first set (estimated since it was leased) that we determined the tires must have been replaced shortly before/after coming off lease which was 36K. At around 75K we replaced the tires with the same LTX since we were going on a family cross-country trip and needed tires immediately. Now 2.5 years later we're replacing them again. When inspection was done 1K miles ago, the tread wear was at 2/32. Now it's winter here. I’ll never purchase another Michelin product. Overpriced for what you get. Many other brands out there with better overall performance. And these are rated for 60K??? Completely Unacceptable.

Worst Michelin tires I have had in over 60 years of using this brand. Were on wife's car used mostly in city driving. Ford dealer service reported that tread depth indicated tires need to be replaced, after only 4 years and 7 days with 22,047 miles on them. The car and tires had been serviced very regulary. The 5 year and 60,000 mile warrenty is useless as the original installer (costco) stated that I had to provide paper proof that the tires had been rotated and balanced every 5000 miles, and then only one tire would qualify for rebate as the others were 3 were 1 mm more than the minimum.
Good bye Michelin tires. $1,000 for tires that last for only 22,000 miles is unacceptable.
