The Ventus V4 ES (H105) is Hankook's Ultra High Performance All-Season tire developed for the drivers of sports cars, sports coupes and performance sedans. The Ventus V4 ES is designed to combine cutting-edge appearance with predictable handling, traction and control on dry and wet roads, as well as in occasional light snow.

The Ventus V4 ES molds an ultra high performance all-season tread compound into a directional design featuring a continuous center rib flanked by stable independent intermediate and shoulder tread blocks to enhance dry traction. Wide circumferential main grooves and multiple lateral side slots create waterways that aid water drainage to minimize hydroplaning and enhance wet traction. Sipes in each tread block increase the number of biting edges to reinforce winter traction without abandoning wet and dry handling.

Hankook's Controlled Footprint Shape profile uses the tire's internal structure of twin steel belts reinforced by spirally wrapped nylon to promote predictable handling and uniform wear.

Hankook Ventus V4 ES H105 Reviews

Customer surveys indicate the Hankook Ventus V4 ES H105 excels in dry traction (8-10 scores dominate) with responsive steering and stable cornering, delivering confident performance for all-season driving. Wet traction earns praise (7-10 range common) for reliable grip and hydroplaning resistance, though a few reports note reduced effectiveness in heavy rain. Winter traction shows mixed results-snow handling earns 7-8 scores from some drivers, but ice and deep snow performance (frequent 0-3 scores) raise concerns for severe conditions. Ride comfort receives strong marks (8-10 typical) for smoothness and noise reduction. Treadwear ratings (7-10 majority) suggest solid durability for an ultra-high-performance all-season tire.

...The handling and wet weather performance are really good...

I loved these tires when I got them. The handling and wet weather performance are really good.
The look of the tires is great as well. Sporty, aggressive.
After about 2000 miles a belt slipped in one tire and caused a constant left pull that I originally thought was due to alignment or a suspension related problem. Took 5 months to figure out it was a bad tire.

...Great for my climate and wet roads.

Replaced OEM domestic Run flats. FANTASTIC at twice the price. Much smoother, quieter, and MPG.

Long term PCA member. Next set on my 911 will be HANKOOKS! Probably one of the best tires I have ever put on any car. Great for my climate and wet roads. Florida. Hardly any wear on very hot roads. Balance been perfect since initial install. Absolutely no complaints.

Highly recommended!!!

...It grip to corner very well on dry day. Turning 270 degree highway exit corner at 65 km/h (40 mph) without problem...

These 225/45R17 and 245/40R17 comes with my 2001 BMW 330Ci coupe. I typically use summer tire but these all season comes with my car and it is 80% new. It grip to corner very well on dry day. Turning 270 degree highway exit corner at 65 km/h (40 mph) without problem.

Fuel economy is above average, but I only have the car for 1 yr, so can't really compare with other summer tire, but it is 12% better mpg (21 mpg vs 18 mpg) than winter RFT with 225/45R17 + 235/45R17. Road noise is much quiet than winter tire, and again I can't compare with other tire mounted on this car, since the noise insulation is better.

I don't like run-flat tire, and this is not run-flat tire, so the weight is less.

The tire is dated 2010, so it has been mounted for 5 years. It never spin even on hard acceleration on 3L engine.

I drive gentle most of the time, except cornering very aggressively, and this tire is capable of taking the same hard corner at high speed (60 - 80 km/h or 35 - 50 mph) like high performance sport tire in my Honda Prelude (which is lighter and lower center gravity), so I will buy another one if there is good offer.

I repair my own car, so my review is base on 0 suspension issue. Any reader who suspect potential suspension issue can have a peace of mind when reading my review.

It never slide, under steer, and rubber seems to last long (5 yr), and could easily last 10 yr for my driving habit (yearly driving 20k km or 12k miles).

I have driven in light snow condition for 2 months. It does able to grip the road and perform similar to other all season tire, so no complain. This means the snow has been shoved, or snow partially melted (salt or temperature), not with 2" or 6 cm of snow covering the entire road.

Never drive it in heavy snow (3" or 10 cm), ice, so I can't comment

...They are a comfy ride and traction is pretty good in all conditions...

I purchased these tires for my 06 impreza 2.5i and have had them on for 10k miles now and I couldnt be happier with them. They are a comfy ride and traction is pretty good in all conditions. I rotate my tires properly every 4-5k miles and I check the tread every so often and they seem to be wearing at a normal rate. No issues at all. Its a solid tire all around folks. If your looking for a super grippy, stiff tire for street racing and auto x then keep looking. This tire is perfect for all-weather driving as well as some aggressive driving:) Dont listen to all the negative reviews. If you rotate your tires and keep them inflated properly then you will have no issues with these kooks!

...It has a very positive, firm ride (you may not like this if you're used to touring tires) with incredibly stiff tread blocks and sidewalls-- No sidewall or tread squish when cornering or steering-- Extremely positive response...

This is more about the tire's performance characteristics than long-term durability or wear, as they're still pretty new.

I wanted a sporty tire that didn't break the bank--For that I think this tire nailed it.

It has a very positive, firm ride (you may not like this if you're used to touring tires) with incredibly stiff tread blocks and sidewalls--No sidewall or tread squish when cornering or steering--Extremely positive response.

Drawback to this is that my car, perhaps it is because it is so light, can get pretty busy on highways with parallel grooves in the road surface--Car sometimes sharply "wiggles" from side to side as if the tires are following these grooves precisely due to the stiff tires. A little weird at first but it has already decreased significantly since I first put them on.

Tire is phenomenal in the wet, and does pretty well in slushy snow. It certainly isn't in its element when the temperature drops below 28 or 30. My Vibe has never been good in the snow, so I just know what its limits are when the mercury drops, so perhaps I'm not as hard on them as others may be for their cold-weather performance.

I have gotten over the 50000 on all sets...

I have a 2005 Dodge Magnum RT the car has 207000 plus miles on it. I am looking to buy my fourth set of handkook ventus tires. I have been so very impressed with these tires. My first set of tires i only got about 35000 out of them, this was because my other half drove about 65 miles on two flats and eat the inter side walls.(LOL) But other then that I have gotten over the 50000 on all sets. love them. The tires handle great and for the cost and the miles you get GREAT DEAL!!!! Looking to buy my next set. Hope the car holds up to the tires, :)

...During the winter, this tire is downright unsafe. Unless you are driving incredibly slowly and don't turn much, you'll be risking your life every time you leave the house. My Eclipse is FWD, and yet I can't start moving at stoplights...

These tires aren't anything special. I've had them for 6 months and put on 8,000 miles, and they really don't excel in any area. During the summer, they run very level and smooth, but you do feel plenty of bumps. The turning capabilities aren't anything to write home about... although I do turn quicker and easier that my friends that have fusion tires. They have started to get louder and louder the more they wear. They aren't too bad yet, but I've noticed the noise levels increasing and I feel that in another 4000 miles it might be unbearable.
During the winter, this tire is downright unsafe. Unless you are driving incredibly slowly and don't turn much, you'll be risking your life every time you leave the house. My Eclipse is FWD, and yet I can't start moving at stoplights. Just today while driving home, a Jeep in front of me slammed on the brakes for some reason, and I just tapped on them to start slowing down, and I just started going sideways. Only going about 35 mph on a plowed and sanded road and I just spun out. The snow will get into the tiny grooves in these tires and turn them into slicks. (Pun intended)

I honestly do not feel safe driving in the winter with these tires, and if you were intending to use them mostly as a summer tire, well chances are you'll probably be disappointed in that field aswell.

This tire was on the car when I bought it. I normally prefer dedicated summer/winter tires but I wasn't about to get rid of them just for that sake (especially since they're new). In short, they're passable for dry/wet conditions but just awful in snow. If you had to, you could probably make do in winter (those cold dry days). Tread wear is good, sidewall is soft, can be noisy but it wouldn't be my choice for an all-season.

Great tire for the summer, but when it comes to rain and light snow theres no way to drive on them. I live in NY just outside of manhattan and I have noticed that when its cold outside and is dry I get very little traction. I bought my mustang earlier this year from a dealer and it had the Hankook Ventus V4 tires but the tread was low so I came on the site read great reviews and bought 4 new tires all around. But since they dont do well in cold weather or snow I am most likely going to replace them, ----s Pirelli discontinued the P6 all season tire. That tire was amazing It had grip in rain and I never got stuck in snow, I had them on a previous mustang and the tires lasted 120K
