Bridgestone Alenza Sport A/S Reviews

Ratings indicate the Bridgestone Alenza Sport A/S delivers strong comfort with many scores in the 8-10 range, praised for smooth ride quality. Dry and wet traction receive consistent high marks (8-10), excelling in all-season conditions with confident handling and hydroplaning resistance. However, treadwear scores show significant concerns, with many ratings below 3, indicating premature wear. Winter traction also struggles, with frequent low scores (0-5) highlighting limited capability in snow and ice. While the tire shines in its core all-season roles for crossovers/SUVs, its durability and cold-weather performance may disappoint drivers prioritizing long-term value or harsh winter use.

Very good steering response and tracking, wet weather stability and lower road noise than the Pirelli Scorpion Zero tires they replaced. Will have to update this later as to tire wear. Was lucky to buy them on Tire Rack when I did on a close out price plus a $140 Bridgestone rebate. I ended up buying a set of 4 19” tires for less than $140 each. I also got a free 2 year road hazard warranty too. Unbeatable for a quality tire.

These are the OEM tires on my 2021 VW ID.4. Very good so far, very impressive in the rain, no hydroplaning even in heavy rain and 70 mph. Not particularly quiet. Handling has been great. Will update when snow and ice arrive.

This tire is great. Quiet and great traction dry and wet...

This tire came on my new 2021 Toyota Highlander Hybrid XLE AWD.
I’ve had the vehicle a month. I have 8600 miles on it. I drive airport Uber in Pittsburgh. I drive all day 6 days a week usually. This tire is great. Quiet and great traction dry and wet. I have not driven in snow with it and I never will. I strictly run winter tires. I usually buy Goodyear but would buy this again.

...So far, dry traction is great; cornering very secure with no issues or drama, even when pushed...

With less than 400 miles on the tires, have only driven in dry conditions so far; also keep in mind this is a new vehicle. Plan to add to the review as miles increase.

So far, dry traction is great; cornering very secure with no issues or drama, even when pushed. Some tread noise is evident, even in this very quiet vehicle.

My new 2021 ID-4 Pro S came with these and I have to say I've NEVER had a tire with such grip and at the same time dead quiet at 85mph on an Interstate. They are crazy quiet and ride like a dream. I take 30mph 90 degree curves at 50+ with no issues at all and not a screech or anything. The seem to wear wonderfully well also. I can't say enough good about the tread design overall.

...Performance in Dry/Wet/Snow is pretty good...

OEM Spec tire for the MDX Advance. After 15K miles, they perform ok with a few exceptions - noise and feedback. They are noisier than they should be for a luxury SUV. They also transmit a lot of road feedback (bumps, grooves, steering, etc).

Performance in Dry/Wet/Snow is pretty good (SH-AWD may help), but the noise is enough of a turnoff that I'll be looking for a different tire when these wear out. However, they perform well enough that its worth waiting until the do.

These tires are extremely quiet (part of it may be due to the design/build of the car itself) and comfortable (part of it may be due to air suspension)...

These came on my car from the factory. I specified the non-run flat option in the build. These tires are extremely quiet (part of it may be due to the design/build of the car itself) and comfortable (part of it may be due to air suspension). Still gives good grip at high speeds and around turns when put in sport mode. I have always used Michelin or Continental tires so was hesitant when I found out my new car came with Bridgestone tires. Unfortunately not many all-season tires to choose from in my size. Very happy with these tires so far. Have not tried them on wet/snow roads yet. If I can get 30k miles out of these in a large heavy SUV then I'll be 100% satisfied.

Winter traction receives mixed results with many scores between 0-6. Customers report slippery conditions in snow, lack of winter handling, and getting stuck. Despite being an all-season tire, numerous ratings indicate unacceptable snow and ice performance, with some calling traction "sketchy" in winter weather.

...Wet traction is terrible, and even dry traction is spotty--it's very easy to spin these tires out...

These Alenzas are the OEM tire that came with my QX60 Sensory. First, for a tire with a 500 UTOG rating, these tires couldn't even make it to 17,000 miles without needing replacement. I don't know if it's the quality of the tire, or maybe some chassis dynamics between the QX60 and these tires, but they don't last worth a darn. I have a friend with the exact same vehicle and he had to replace two of his tires at 14,000 miles. Wet traction is terrible, and even dry traction is spotty--it's very easy to spin these tires out. I recently replaced all four tires with the Goodyear Reliant and have been extremely happy with those tires. Time will tell how well they will wear, but thus far traction is excellent and tread noise is very minimal.

...Winter grip leaves a lot to be desired. Performance in powdery snow is ok-ish for an all-season tire, but the back does tend to kick out pretty easily on turns. Ice traction is virtually non-existent when turning and pretty poor on straightaways, but hey, these aren't Blizzaks...

These are the OEM tires that came on my 2024 Audi Q4 e-tron Quattro. I've had the car less than a year and less than 10k miles, and even with an average/gentle driving style, these tires are done. The fronts are already at 2/32nds, with the rears not far behind at 3/32nds. Plus, the front tires have chunks coming off of them. I can't believe that Bridgestone would put their name and reputation behind these tires, they're the worst I've ever had (and I'm a fleet manager). I understand that EVs eat through tires, but other EVs I'm responsible for average 25k miles on a set of tires before they need replacing. And it's not the car: my friend has the same car but put a set of Pirellis on after his Alenzas wore out at 12k miles. He's since put almost 25k on the Pirellis and still has 40%-ish remaining in tread--much more in-line with an EV SUV. Audi refuses to make it right, and Bridgestone won't even respond to my emails.

The Good: Handling on dry and mild-to-moderately wet roads is pretty good. The ride quality isn't winning any awards, but it's not half bad. They're not the quietest tires ever, but they're far from bad.

The Bad: Winter grip leaves a lot to be desired. Performance in powdery snow is ok-ish for an all-season tire, but the back does tend to kick out pretty easily on turns. Ice traction is virtually non-existent when turning and pretty poor on straightaways, but hey, these aren't Blizzaks.

The Ugly: I have NEVER seen tires wear out as fast as these did. Bridgestone, do better.

...ZERO traction on anything snow or ice. My traction control would kick in and kill the acceleration on even the calmest attempts to start from a stop with mild snow. Made commuting in the winter a nightmare.

Tread was essentially toast at 15,000 miles. Not that I mind having to replace them because they were horrible all season tires. Constantly fish tailing around corners in the rain and ZERO traction on anything snow or ice. ...I was surprised to hear, during my routine 20,000mi service appointment, that my tire tread was down to 6/32 on the front tires and 4/32 on the rear tires. I drive about 60% highway / 40% city, more defensively than aggressively, and cannot believe that after less than two years of ownership I'm looking to purchase new tires...

TL;DR version: DO NOT buy these tires, unless you want to buy more of these tires very soon. THEY DO NOT LAST.

These were the original OEM tires on my 2024 Audi Q4 E-Tron Quattro Sportback. I purchased this vehicle new, and was surprised to hear, during my routine 20,000mi service appointment, that my tire tread was down to 6/32 on the front tires and 4/32 on the rear tires. I drive about 60% highway / 40% city, more defensively than aggressively, and cannot believe that after less than two years of ownership I'm looking to purchase new tires.

When they were new, of course the handling was quite good. However, after about a year or so I can remember noticing that I was starting to feel minor onsets of hydroplaning (I live in Oregon where it rains - a LOT - in the wintertime). On dry roads they're fine, but after two years I wouldn't trust them in inclement weather or on less than ideal road surfaces.

Avoid buying these if you own any sort of SUV and you want your tires to last more than two years or 20,000mi. Get something better.

This is easily the worst OEM tire I’ve ever experienced. In 18 months I had to replace the tires as the got down to its minimum tread depth. My driving style is pretty easy going, and the tires were rotated every 5000 miles. My experience isn’t unique. My friend, with the exact same vehicle, had to replace 2 tires inside of 10K miles. Its UTOG rating of 500 can’t be accurate. I’ve had squishy P7’s that lasted 50% longer. I replaced the tires with Goodyear Reliants from Walmart and have been extremely happy with them.
