The Dueler H/L Alenza Plus is Bridgestone's Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season light truck tire developed for the drivers of premium crossovers and sport utility vehicles, as well as light-duty pickups. Designed to provide elegance with an edge, Dueler H/L Alenza Plus tires deliver long wear, enhance fuel efficiency and year-round traction, even in light snow.

Featuring a symmetric tread pattern, the Dueler H/L Alenza Plus has been ride and noise tuned to enhance comfort. Notched shoulder blocks and a continuous center rib boost responsiveness and highway stability, while wide circumferential grooves, lateral notches and sipes help increase foul weather traction. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced with spirally wound nylon (for H-, V- and W-speed rated sizes) to provide support under the tread area, while polyester cords stabilize the sidewalls and enhance ride quality.

NOTE: While Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season light truck tires offer all-season versatility including traction in light snow, tire sizes featuring extremely wide tread widths may limit the traction this type of tire can provide in deep snow.

*Specific sizes utilizing eco-focused manufacturing methods are identified as such on the Sizes tab, as well as on the tire's Specs tab.

...Traction in snow/rain/ice has been excellent...

Excellent tires so far! We've had a lot of snow/ice here in Chicago and these new tires are the best I've ever had on my 4Runner. Traction in snow/rain/ice has been excellent. Very low road noise. I've been using Michelin but I think the overall quality of the Bridgestones are far better.

...Price, road noise, general feel, dry traction and wet traction are all high points for this tire... again, compared to the OEMs, which are the only other tires I know on this vehicle...

These tires replaced OEM tires for me. Got them from tirerack.com. I've noticed a huge improvement in smoothness and road noise from mile 1 with them. I have driven about 19,000 miles on them so far. In fact, these are a big step up from the OEM Goodyears in every way except one -- treadwear. That has been surprising given their rating. I got 37,000 miles on the OEMs, and it's looking like I'll be lucky to get 27,000 on these. I'm an average driver who always rotates tires at each oil change (5,000 miles).

Price, road noise, general feel, dry traction and wet traction are all high points for this tire... again, compared to the OEMs, which are the only other tires I know on this vehicle. I have very limited experience with these tires on snow and ice -- both by virtue of living near Virginia Beach and my choice to generally avoid those conditions if at all possible in a RWD, high-horsepower, high-torque sport SUV.

The fact that these tires were made in Japan (rather than in the Philippines or in Mexico) is a positive for me. But it's just an impression; I have no proof to back up the notion that there's a measurable difference.

These tires are a joy on road trips -- smooth and quiet -- and have given me much more confidence all-around than the OEMs. I do not regret buying them. That said, I'm seriously looking at the Pirelli Scoprion Verde all-seasons for my next set of tires in the hope that I can find a combination of similar performance & feel with 40,000-mile-plus wear. These -- or the Yokahama Geolandars (if these are sold out) will be my second choice.

Night and day difference between these and the stock junk Kumhos. Kumhos lasted 20k. These just got put on in NC and I drove to CA through pouring rain snow ice and a white out condition. I do not have AWD and these tires didn't slip once. Great tire. Let's see how long they last.

Highly Recommended for ice and snow driving on highways. I like this tire because it handles very well in ice and snow. I live in Denver and drive to the mountains often, so I need a tire that grips well in wet/snowy conditions with relatively steep road grades. I do NOT drive off road, so these tires are only used in HWY/City roads. This is my third set on this car and I can usually get around 35,000 to 38,000 miles out of a set. After 30,000 miles, I do notice less traction in the snow, but still adequate. Just had the vehicle in for tire rotation at 32,000 miles and the tread depth is about 5/32's of an inch on each tire. I do rotate every 5,000 miles or so.

I bought a used 2012 Ram 1500 and it still had the factory tires on it- but they were pretty worn. I knew that I had a 1700 mile trip to bring the truck home, while pulling my other car on a trailer (5,500# total). During the trip I spent hours at 75mph on the highway and experienced rain, sleet and snow at higher elevations. These tires were extremely quiet on the road, but gave me amazing traction in the rain, sleet and snow. I couldn't be happier!

...Traction is outstanding...

LR3s are notorious for eating tires. These may be the best I have ever experienced on any vehicle. I have no cons on this tire. Usually I pick apart products, yet, this one I cannot. Extremely happy with these and would absolutely buy them again. Tire wear is remarkable. Traction is outstanding. I have had theses in dirt and no cuts, rips, etc... Wears evenly, and quiet. Great tire.

...It drives and handles like a dream...

I have only had this tire for a few weeks but I wanted to get this out there. This tire is great. It made my truck ride like an entirely different vehicle for the better! there is really no discernable tire noise and it drives and handles like a dream. I will buy these for my other SUV as soon as the OEM junk gives out.

...Very smooth, quiet, and comfortable tires with great grip, handling, and road confidence. These tires needed a few hundred miles to break in, but once they were, I could not believe how well they performed...

Fantastic performing and great looking tire. I purchased a new SUV a few months ago--a 1 year old 2018 Nissan Armada Platinum that came from a rental fleet. Great SUV for sure, but it came with California street tires that I knew would not hold up to a Minnesota winter. After much research, I swapped them out for these Bridgestone Dueler Alenza Plus tires, and I'm so glad I did. Very smooth, quiet, and comfortable tires with great grip, handling, and road confidence. These tires needed a few hundred miles to break in, but once they were, I could not believe how well they performed. Really nice looking too. They don't perform as good a dedicated winter/snow tires on ice and snow, but I was not expecting them to. These Alenza Plus's are designed with a rubber compound for long tread life, quiet ride, and a tread pattern for solid grip and displacement in most conditions. They work really well for me in 95% of the conditions I encounter. If you are on the fence, don't hesitate on these tires. I highly recommend.

...Compared to the LTX, the Bridgestone was very comfortable out the door, as they are 30,000 miles later...

I purchased these tires in March of 2014. I immediately loved the ride then and still do almost a year and a half later and 30,000 miles. What prompted my review today is I am in the process of shopping tires for another one of my vehicles and remembered I wanted to come back and give feedback once I had some miles on this tire.

We have had 2 Yukon's in 13 years and I have always put Michelin's on them after the OEM tires needed replacing. We have always installed the LTX's and enjoyed them. In March a year ago I was considering the new LTX and while comparing the Price and the Customer Reviews of the Bridgestone Dueler Alenza, I decided to give them a try. Compared to the LTX, the Bridgestone was very comfortable out the door, as they are 30,000 miles later. There is nothing wrong with the Michelin LTX, but with the savings and comfort I have experienced with the Bridgestone I felt it was worth commenting. This is the first Firestone product I have purchased since their turmoil of the 1990's. I am glad I did and I am considering their product for my other vehicle today.

I liked these tires at first, but as they got worn down they really lost there traction.
Also did not get the miles out of them. Firestone did provide a small discount on the new tires though. I went with the FIRESTONE

We live in PA. The tires came standard on 2014 Yukon Denali. I am at 97,245 miles and just buying the first replacement set. There are no issues but the dealer suggested to do so as I am just at the point of needing them due to tread wear. I would not go any other direction. Great in all conditions and have no interest in trying to repeat with another tire.

These have been the best tires I've ever owned. I now have almost made it through the 80k mile tread warranty and the tires are still as smooth and silent as when I first purchased them. They do feel like luxury because they are quiet and they handle confidently on the road. At the very beginning, they did have flat spotting issues that would abate after a few miles down the road and they do seem to lose more air pressure due to temperature swings during season change BUT you'll not complain after taking these bad boys on a trip. I'll be replacing these soon because the very middle of the tread has gotten pretty worn but I'll be putting these on both my vehicles here on out, no question. For reference, rotation every 10k miles has worked well for me. Highly recommend these tires! As I've gotten older, it's been a quest of mine now to find something that works and to just stick with it instead of trying something newer or cheaper. These work guys and you and yours will be satisfied!
