The WildPeak R/T01 is Falken's Rugged All-Terrain tire built for light trucks, full-size SUVs, and full-size pickup truck fitments. Designed for drivers who want to balance their on-road travels with off-road adventures, the WildPeak R/T01 aims to embody everything it means to conquer any surface. Whether it's sun-beaten rocks or rain-slick grass, this tire is meant for year-round traction with the strength, durability and grip to get it done.

The WildPeak R/T01 is built with a chip-and-tear resistant all-terrain compound, molded into a hybrid tread pattern designed to maximize the contact its central tread blocks make, for ideal rubber-to-road manners and stability on the highway. Broad, open shoulders feature rock ejectors and mud breakers within the grooves to augment off-road traction and keep damaging rocks from causing unexpected flats. The tread blocks themselves are fashioned with built-in steps, what Falken calls Tectonic tread blocks, to minimize block squirm for stable hauling and towing. The high-void design of the tread, open shoulders and extensive groove network allow easy displacement of water for hydroplaning resistance. Siping throughout and additional biting edges within the tread aid the WildPeak R/T01's snow-to-snow traction in winter conditions.

Internal construction of WildPeak R/T01 tires feature a robust two-ply polyester casing focused on balancing durability and comfort, with select heavy duty sizes including a 3rd ply. Two high-strength steel belts support the tread and are reinforced by a two-ply polyamide cap for further added durability.

Falken Azenis RT660 Reviews

Performance reviews suggest the Falken Azenis RT660 excels in dry traction, with drivers praising its "telepathic" grip, sharp turn-in, and consistent performance during autocross, track days, and HPDE events. Many note it warms up quickly and handles heat better than competitors, though some report greasiness in prolonged high temps. Wet traction receives mixed feedback-adequate in light rain but prone to hydroplaning in standing water. Treadwear is praised for a 200TW tire, with users reporting 8-12 track days or 100+ autocross runs, though heavy cars or aggressive setups may cause accelerated wear. A recurring concern is tread delamination under extreme use, though most find durability acceptable for dedicated performance applications.

This is my number 1 tire choice for track day use. I have been running these on my NB miata since they came out and I also ran the 315/30/18s on my C5 Z06 and they were great on that as well. On the Miata they last a long time and also provide excellent grip over a long period of time. These have longevity close to the Hankook RS4's but seem to show better laptimes and even look batter in my opinion. Just bought another set today while on sale.
