Firestone Reviews

Customer surveys indicate the Firestone Affinity Touring tire delivers strong dry traction (scores 8-10) with responsive handling, aligning well with its touring all-season purpose. However, treadwear scores show inconsistency (0-10 range), with many reports of premature wear. Comfort receives mixed feedback, with some praising a smooth ride (scores 7-10) while others note road noise or harshness (scores 0-5). Winter traction raises concerns (frequent 0-3 scores), suggesting limited confidence in snow. Wet performance is similarly inconsistent, with hydroplaning resistance scoring 3-6 in many cases. While dry performance shines, buyers prioritizing year-round capability or long-term durability may find trade-offs compared to typical all-season expectations.

Mixed results with wet traction. Many scores between 0-6 indicate mediocre wet performance, hydroplaning concerns, and reports of sliding. Even with some 9s/10s, dissatisfaction is common for an all-season tire.

These tires from day 1 were terrible in any and all wet conditions. Touch the throttle a little hard in the rain they spin, corner a little fast they slide. To me this is an all important aspect of a tires performance; and these tires are totally unacceptable at any price, much less their inflated cost. They came on my vehicle and because of their poor traction; I should have replaced them long ago. I was involved in an accident and feel that if I would have had different tires, my stopping distance would have been shorter, and the accident would have not occured.

In one word "Garbage". yes that's the best description for these tires. I purchased my car with these tires on it. if you like your family and yourself just forget about them because they are extremely dangerous. you can't trust them even cornering with 30 MPH in wet. no traction at all my car has just 230HP and from stop if i push the gas a little bit more than normal they start sleeping in a dry road!!

OE tire slips very easely on wet road. Even slips on dry road under hard accelaration. No real problem on hot dry road. My traction control often slowes engine when pulling out or cornering under accelaration due to tire slippage. Even going up hill in the rain can be difficult, I have to accelarate very slowly. other cars passing but if I press on pedal more tires spin. This is probably the worst tire that I have ever driven.

Winter traction ratings reveal significant concerns, with many customers scoring 0-5 for snow and ice performance. While some give 7-8s, the majority indicate unacceptable snow performance and unstable behavior in winter scenarios.

These tires were included when I purchased a slightly used Honda civic. On dry pavement, they are fine, but I live in the Midwest where there is lots of snow, ice, and precipitation. These tires are awful in the snow and ice. I am going to get rid of them and purchase a better set of all season tires as these are treacherous on any kind of snow or ice. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Tires are great in dry weather but soon as Metro Detroit, Michigan snow starts falling get ready for white knuckle drive, car feels light as a feather.

Tires were standard equipment on 2012 Honda Civic LX Sedan. Tires are great in dry weather but soon as Metro Detroit, Michigan snow starts falling get ready for white knuckle drive, car feels light as a feather. I use to sell new Honda's and had Civic's as Company Car's (Demos) never had any problems in snow when Honda used Dunlop and Michelin. Did my first Tire rotation saw wear on front tires with only 8000 miles.

I got these tires on a rental car in upstate NY for a business trip. They are unbelievably dangerous in the snow. They spun just sitting at idle with the slightest pressure in the snow. I cannot over state how unstable they are in snowy weather. If you own them in the snowy areas, ditch them now! (Before they put you in a ditch)

...But these are noisy tires and you feel every little bump in the road while driving...

OEM equipment tire. At over 50k miles I can't really complain about tire life. But these are noisy tires and you feel every little bump in the road while driving.
Winter performance is horrid. Wet performance is not as scary as driving in snow but you won't catch me pushing my luck when it starts raining.
If these were $50 tires I would recommend them for areas that don't get snow. But the price on these are just way to much to even consider. Lots of better tires out there for half the price.

These tires are crap! Ive had two sets because I had to buy them at different times and wanted to keep them matched. They wear quicky, cup frequently, and cost too much for what they are-i.e. "OEM cheapies". I wish I had bought four of some other kind to begin with. Live and learn.

Tires started wearing out at 15,000 miles, and now at 30,000 they are at 1/32 of tread, and the center on the tires are completely bald enev though proper inflation and care was maintained. Tire handled descent when dry, not to good when wet, and your left with almost ZERO traction when its snowing. two ties are wearing unevenly, and one tire has a patch on it where it apears the tread broke down and disoled into thin air. GM wou do nothing to replace them when they were down to 5/32 at 12,000 miles and said that tires on factory equiptment donot come with threadwear treadlife warrenties. Do not but this tire
