Customers praise the Eagle RS-A2's wet traction, with most ratings between 8-10. High scores highlight confident grip and hydroplaning resistance in rain, excelling as an all-season tire. A few lower scores suggest varied experiences in extreme conditions but overall strong wet performance.

...still do ok in the rain...
Quiet, smooth and very responsive performance all season tires. I've been shocked at how little they have worn even when driven very hard ( should still get over 50,000 miles on this set), how well they handle a lot of power and still do ok in the rain and acceptable in snow.

These are not really great for snow or ice conditions, but decent on dry and wet pavement...
These are my second set of these tires, the first set I got 65,000 miles out of them, this has 60,000 miles on them and I am just starting to look at tires again. These are not really great for snow or ice conditions, but decent on dry and wet pavement. Tires started to get a little noisy around 55,000 miles, I am satisfied with the tread life I got out of them, if they were better in snow or ice conditions I'd purchase another set.

...They suffer with wet traction in my opinion. They aren't terrible, but they are a step back from the General AS-03s I had on my last car (and those weren't great either)...
Stock OEM tires on my Charger Scat pack. I see a lot of people on the forums bashing these tires, but I'm actually really pleased with them considering they are 245 wide tires strapped to the back of a near 500 hp car. Traction is decent, obviously the rears will spin with so much power available, but cornering and braking are very good for an all season tire. They suffer with wet traction in my opinion. They aren't terrible, but they are definitely a step back from the General AS-03s I had on my last car (and those weren't great either). Where these tires really shine are wear (so far) and noise. After 20k miles, these tires are still very quiet at any speed. Also after 20k miles of 0-60 blasts, burnouts, drifts, and other hooliganism, these tires still have about 7/32" tread left, which is very good considering the abuse I've given them.
Clearly, they are not the stickiest sport rubber out there. But they are responsive, have good feel when pushed hard, and make great highway cruising tires. They are a good match for a heavyweight highway bomber like the charger, and I don't think anyone would be disappointed with these on a large 4 door sedan.

...As far as putting the power down, this tire doesn't spin AT ALL... I drive the car normally, but take turns quite hard and I have NEVER heard the tires make noise or break from traction...
I own a 2020 Dodge Charger R/T without any modifications. The car has roughly 400hp and roughly 400lb. ft. of torque. Even though this tire is not wide at all (245/45/20), it still holds the car's weight very well, handles very nicely, and has very little road noise. I have no clue why people are complaining about the noise of these tires. I hope they aren't mistaking these for the older RS-A model.
My car has absolutely no road noise with these tires. I'm sure there is some noise, but I can't hear it whatsoever. I rarely drive with the radio on, and never pull down my windows so if anyone should hear road noise with these tires, it should be me.
As far as putting the power down, this tire doesn't spin AT ALL. Some people in the review section are talking about dropping their clutches or launching there cars...Of course, if you launch the car, no street tire on a rear-wheel drive car can withstand that kind of power.
I don't drive my car hard and do not hold the revs to 3 or 4 thousand RPM and then slam on it in 1st gear. I drive the car normally, but take turns quite hard and I have NEVER heard the tires make noise or break from traction issues.
I would highly recommend this tire, but I think for my next set, I would get Continental Extreme Contact Sports and save 4 lbs on each tire, which will equal more power to the rear wheels and better handling, because we all know that weight on a wheel is your enemy.

...Traction seems to be very good...
Slightly over 10K miles on my 2015 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack and I driver it hard most of the time. She gets 25MPG on the highway at 80MPH, so I can't complain. Ride comfort is great on these tires and road noise is not a problem. Traction seems to be very good. I only wish they would make them in a little wider size so I could stagger the tire sizes on my car.

...If these tires shined in any one area it would be a sunny afternoon stroll. Dry performance, cornering stability and highway noise were some of their better attributes...
These tires were OEM equipped. These tires are brutal in any kind of winter driving condition. Had trouble on multiple occasions just getting up the driveway and into the garage let along at a stop light. Didn't matter if the road was packed snow, patchy or fresh. Wet traction was tolerable. If these tires shined in any one area it would be a sunny afternoon stroll. Dry performance, cornering stability and highway noise were some of their better attributes. Unfortunately, these tires deteriorated quickly as the miles ticked off. Couldn't wait to replace these at 40,000. Almost bought a snow set just for the handful of occasions of dealing with snow during a commute. Ended up buying a set of Michelin Pilots. WOW, what a difference!! Saved money as no snow tires are needed now. Should have upgraded earlier.

...The tread wear has been very even (I have by tires rotated every 5000-6000 miles). At 40000 miles I feel that I will be able to go through the upcoming winter especially with AWD...
This tire was OE on my Buick Lacrosse. I initially had my doubt about the tire because of the name similarity to Goodyear's original RS-A which was not a great tire . But this tire is the RS-A2. I really liked the unusual tread design and I think this definitely contributes to its overall 4 season performance. The tire was somewhat noisy at first but it was not an annoyance at all and I don't really notice it not even at 40000 miles. It is a comfortable, competent tire for the use as it was intended. The tread wear has been very even (I have by tires rotated every 5000-6000 miles). At 40000 miles I feel that I will be able to go through the upcoming winter especially with AWD. If I have issues with traction then I will replace the tires but I still think I will stick with the RS-A2. I have seen some negative reviews mostly by spirited drivers. I don't think this a tire for spirited drivers and those individuals should pursue a different higher performance tire but at the expense of tread wear and light snow traction. Bottom line, this tire is very competent, wears well, performs at the level for which it was designed, and is a good value.

Winter traction disappoints with many scores between 0-6, showing poor snow/ice grip. Customers report slippery conditions, getting stuck, and unstable handling. While some 9s/10s exist, dissatisfaction dominates for this all-season tire's winter performance.

...They are just OK for wet and dry traction, but are so poor in the snow (even with AWD) that I don't know how they get an All-Season rating...
These tires came with the CTS 19" wheel option and I have not liked them very much. They are just OK for wet and dry traction, but are so poor in the snow (even with AWD) that I don't know how they get an All-Season rating. They now have 30,000 miles on them and are ready for replacement, even though they have been rotated every 5K miles. Like many Goodyear tires that have come as OE on the cars I have owned, they have horrible "slap" on road expansion joints. The ride is not that great, even for a 45 series, as the 40 series tires on my 2005 GTO don't seem as harsh. I would never buy these tires under normal conditions, but since my car is leased and needs tires before I turn it in, I will probably replace them with the same tire due to their lower cost. If I was keeping the car long term I would definitely choose a different brand.
