The TerrainContact A/T is Continental's On-Road All-Terrain tire developed for the drivers of pickup trucks, Jeeps, SUVs and crossover vehicles looking for civilized behavior on-road with the benefit of off-road capability when they need it. Designed to combine a quiet highway ride and long tread life with all-terrain performance, the TerrainContact A/T provides year-round traction in dry, wet and wintry conditions, even in snow.
TerrainContact A/T tires feature a +Silane enhanced all-season compound molded into a mild all-terrain tread pattern. The open pattern improves traction off-road, while the stable tread blocks and closed shoulder design help provide long tread life and resist uneven wear. The +Silane additives further extend tread life and increase wet grip, and the full-depth sipes and edge-of-the-block traction grooves increase all-season traction throughout the life of the tire.
Internal construction of the TerrainContact A/T includes two high-tensile steel belts with a spirally-wound polyamide reinforcement supported by a two-ply casing.

Taking Off-Road Tires On-Road - 2025 Test 6(29:50)
The Tacoma is back for a new group of 9 all-terrain tires to be put to the test: four Off-Road All-Terrains, four Rugged All-Terrains, and a lone On-Road All-Terrain. The focus of this test is living with all-terrain tires on paved surfaces, day in and day out. How much will comfort, noise, handling, and safety vary across such a diverse grouping of brands and categories, and where will this group of customer favorites and newcomers fit in when ranked against last year’s bunch? Watch now to find out!
Feedback consistently shows the Hankook Dynapro AT2 delivers excellent dry traction (scores 8-10) and strong wet performance, with hydroplaning resistance rated 7-10. Winter traction earns praise in snow (scores 8-10) but shows variability on ice, where some ratings dip to 5-7. Riders highlight a comfortable, quiet on-road experience (comfort 7-10, noise 7-10), though a few note moderate road noise. Treadwear scores 7-10 indicate solid longevity for an all-terrain tire, with most customers satisfied. While excelling in rugged conditions, its winter ice performance has mixed feedback-suited for drivers prioritizing dry/wet capability and comfort over extreme icy terrain.

...In rainy situations they perform very similar to dry road conditions; understandably with the 17/32" tread depth...
Amazed with the ride quality and quietness. The softer sidewalls of the tire did take some getting used to. But as my fuel economy did improve a bit,I was ok with turn in response lagging some. I’ve only driven in light snow so far . These Hankooks are very sticky and predictable. In rainy situations they perform very similar to dry road conditions;understandably with the 17/32 “ tread depth. I would not hesitate to buy the tires Again and recommend them highly to everyone!

...They are quite and smooth on the highway and great traction in the rain...
These tires were the OEM tires on my truck, and typically, OEM tires are not as desirable, but after getting 70k miles and still having life in the tires, I bought my 2nd set. They are quite and smooth on the highway and great traction in the rain. No comlaints and only compliments being a repeat buyer!

...We get lots of rain in Portland Oregon. The tire have tracked super well in all conditions over the first 2500 miles... they have tracked super well in all conditions so far...
These seem to meet my desires, was looking for a Snow Flake rated all terrain that was more road / highway than offroad. Have used both Duratrac's and Wildpeaks on a different vehicle, and have found these new AT2 (RF11's) to meet my needs. Like so many dream of the adventure, but realistically find myself on paved roads, or light gravel, that the local mini van can drive as well as the jacked 4x4 (haha).... We live in a steep hilled area, which with any snow/ice becomes a struggle to access the house with an all season tire. The AT2's in a recent, snow and ice storm, ran great for the short and steep climbs and descents at low speeds to and from the house. Plus the drives around town on packed snow. Expect them to also preform on the packed snow roadways at higher speeds. As for everyday driving. We get lots of rain in Portland Oregon. The tire have run great over the first 2500 miles, driving from Portland to San Fran and back for holiday, my commute to work, city streets, freeways, and lots and lots of rain driving, they have tracked super well in all conditions so far. Hope to a some point drive them on some backroads, accessing camping and or MTB / Hiking trail, not that its a test, as often the in the past the Honda Fit went to as many locations as any other vehicle..

...They are also AMAZING in the snow. I live in Michigan, so this was super good for me. I even went up north on a few non maintenanced roads and never got stuck going through atleast 6" of unplowed snow...
Tire guy told me to buy these and I wans't so sure. Bought them anyways because of the price and I do not regret it! I tow about 4 times a month and put about 23k miles a year on my truck. The tires still have plenty of tread left on them! They are also AMAZING in the snow. I live in Michigan, so this was super good for me. I even went up north on a few non maintenanced roads and never got stuck going through atleast 6" of unplowed snow. I would highly recommend these tires to anyone that wants tires that last a long time and perform well in any condition you put them in!

...best in deep snow, packed snow, ice, slush etc. Aside from a set of Blizzaks you're not going to find a better A/T snow tire...
I live in Colorado at 9000' and it snows here...a lot. Between my work truck and personal truck I have run about every A/T tire on the market and can say that this is, hands down, the best in deep snow, packed snow, ice, slush etc. Aside from a set of Blizzaks you're not going ro find a better A/T snow tire. FAR better than BFG A/T's and Goodyear Duratracks. I'm impressed with this tire and will buy another set.

...Then dropped in a High HP and bored out 351W with a heavy duty C6 transmission. So it is a nice high horse power torque motor, anyway I thought I would be able to completely roast these tires off but I was wrong, they get great traction and handle so well that I have actually started driving faster in the vehicle and I don't want to burn the tires bcs they are so good I want them to last...
I put these on my 1965 Ford F100, it is a hot rod and I loved the look of these tires, I bought some nice American Outlaw Rims, put spacers on etc. Then dropped in a High HP and bored out 351W with a heavy duty C6 transmission. So it is a nice high horse power torque motor, anyway I thought I would be able to completely roast these tires off but I was wrong, they get great traction and handle so well that I have actually started driving faster in the vehicle and I don't want to burn the tires bcs they are so good I want them to last. I've driven them in heavy rains coming to and from car shows and getting accidentally caught in the rain when out for drives and they perform flawlessly. They will pick up rocks in the tread (like all off road tires) and throw them, but that is the only problem I have with these tires. They exceeded my expectations by several fold. I have been recommending them for months. Han-KOOK, the crazy Korean tires.

These tires are great for dry surfaces, gravel roads, and even minor off-road (farm fields)...
These were replacement tires for the factory original highway tires on my 2013 f150 4x4 supercrew. I live in Iowa, so that should tell you about climate and weather these tires encounter. The treadware was excellent and noise was consistently low on both highway and city. These tires are great for dry surfaces, gravel roads, and even minor off-road (farm fields). Where they really struggle is when it rains. On the highway, I would find the rear tires slipping while accelerating in the rain. These tires also do not grab snow very well. They seemed better than our mini van with highway all seasons, but maybe that is due to weight. I usually carry 150lbs of sand during winters. Overall, a good long-lasting tire, but there are better options for $20/tire more.

Bought these to replace my oem tires on my Honda Ridgeline (245/60/R18 Firestone Destination LE2) and they're a huge improvement on ride quality and noise despite being an AT tire. On the first day, I found myself driving faster because I couldn't tell how fast I was driving by how smooth the ride was. We have not had really serious storms, but they have behaved great the times I've been driving while raining. If there's a big drawback is that my MPG is being penalized but that's understandable because I went with a larger size tire (255/60/R18) than the oem so the weight increased by about 6 lbs per tire, along with the footprint (wider, so also more resistance). It's still within the acceptable range if you do highway driving, but you'll definitively see a bigger impact to your MPG if all you do is city driving.
I have not tested these tires in true AT conditions, and likely never will because the Ridgeline is not a truck meant for offroading, like the Tacomas are, but I think they're perfect for people that will only do light trails/dirt roads at most. In other words, they're incredibly civilized for being classified AT tires -- make of that what you will.
Don't take this as me trashing the tire, they're perfect for me and my needs, I just think the caveat emptor is warranted.
