Kumho Solus TA31 

I did not have Kumho's B4 so this was my first set. I could not believe how good they gripped the road. I have raced Road race cars and done high speed AX. For a street tire in the rain they almost grab the road as good as my Rain tires. On the dry they have very good corner grip. I would buy again. Ron

My 2021 Kicks had 32,000 miles when I bought it and OEM Firestone FT-140 tires that were relatively worn out. I went with the Kumho Solus TA31 at about 58,000 miles and could not be happier. The ride was instantly better and I changed the Firestone tires early because my child was taking this car to college and didn’t want them losing traction in rain or snow like would sometimes happen to me with the original tires. Happy so far with the Kumho wear and the traction and ride are top-notch. You cannot go wrong with these Kumho Solus TA-31 tires for your Nissan Kicks.

These were the OE tires on my car and I’ve been patiently waiting for them to need replacing. Overall it’s not a terrible tire but I can only describe it as decent. I was surprised how well they gripped in the dry during some spirited driving. However that’s about the only positive I have for them.

The road noise is way more than I like. Having previously used Falken and Yokahoma for years these were a shock to my ears at highway speeds. Of course after 40k miles you tend to set used to it, but I just know there’s better out there in that regard for the price.

Wet weather performance has never been great. In the city they’re fine and will grip from a stop, but on a wet interstate they can be scary. And now at 40k miles they’re just dangerous. I was out the other day and it was raining moderately I’d say. Not a storm and not flooding, but a steady rainfall. I couldn’t get above 60mph without my traction control heavily kicking in.

I will be very happy to move on from these tires.

Normally I buy Michelin, period. Retired now so I predict my tire rubber will age before the tread wears out. 2007 Camry's previous Michelins still had 4mm and in SoCal, that is a ton of tread left, but the sidewalls have some cracks from drying out due to age. The new 235/55R16 Kumho rode and felt 70% better than 215/60R16 Miches; lower noise at much lower tones and sharp impacts are now mild thumps. Ultimate grip is better but this is an old Camry and not the focus. $600 is half the price and they improve every aspect with no downside so far. Kumho for the win.

Kumo Solus tires are very good tires with exceptional tread life. The tires provide very good all-around service for a standard sedan with predictable handling characteristics.

Really good budget time that came with the car when I bought it new. More than adequate for dry / wet roads. Doesn't inspire a lot of confidence in snow though. Great treadwear and comfortable noise levels. For the price, a fantastic option

These TA-31 tires replaced a set of Bridgestone Ecopia factory tires at 90,000 miles. I drive 60,000 miles a year all highway. I currently have 202,000 miles on my 2019 VW Jetta SEL. I rotated these tires at 50,000 miles. I drive in South Carolina and Eastern Georgia between 70 and 80mph. They currently have 9/32 of tread left. Goes to show that a great alignment and balancing can do wonders for tread life. I will be going to the Majisty 91 tire next. Great product and great compound. No bubbles or deformities on the sidewalls. Blew thru Pirelli'C7 's on my Audi, Sidewall deformation on my Continentals. Would recommend these tires to everyone.

These tires were installed by the dealer as a condition of the purchase. I regret that I agreed to this particular tire. I have not been able to drive the car at all with snow on the ground. It has ZERO snow/ice traction. I can put the car in the driveway and spin the tires without touching the accelerator. Kuhmo needs to recall these tires and recycle them into something more useful. They are absolute trash. Unsafe in wet weather and dangerous in snow. Save your money and buy something else.

These Kumho Solus TA31 were OEM on 2019 Hyundai Elantra Value Edition Bought the car used with 13k, so can't speak to tire rotation before then, but was done every 7.5k thereafter. One got a sidewall puncture & was replaced with same TA31. A little over 40k, two original tires are down to wear bars, third is at 3/32 (this tire struggled to hold air the last 10k and required inflation weekly, even with replacement valvestem). Even though PA roads aren't the best, can't imagine how these could ever make it to 60k manufacturer rating - the Elantra isn't a very heavy car. Dry, the tires were ok, wet they were prone to hydroplaning, and snow/ice is just poor.
