Pirelli P Zero Rosso Reviews

Customer ratings showcase the Pirelli P Zero Rosso's excellent dry traction (9-10 scores) and very good wet performance in its intended summer use, with most scores in the 7-8 range though some note reduced grip in heavy rain. Comfort receives praise for a smooth, quiet ride, though a few find it stiff. Treadwear is a notable concern, with many scores in the 3-5 range indicating premature wear. Overall, drivers appreciate its confident dry handling and summer-focused capabilities, but those prioritizing longevity may find tread life disappointing.

...During snow and rain just note it take a minute for them to warm but after they are amazing in wet conditions...

I personally love the Russo tires. They are a stiffer rubber. During snow and rain just note it take a minute for them to warm but after they are amazing. Dry days there are few tires I have found that are better. Noise wise they can be a bit louder than the average but the way I feel the road with them is my greatest concern. During the summer I take back roads to the beach which are full of turns and even though I don't drive it like I used to the tires still handle the turns brilliantly on those rare occasions when I am passing someone or just feeling nostalgic.

I highly recommend these tires.

...As for wet conditions they hook up better than most tires, being in a high horsepower car it is hard to get grip in the wet but even cruising on the highway in the rain they allow for smooth sailing and very little hydroplaning...

Purchased this tire for my 2009 G8 GXP and have been nothing but impressed. I have always heard people talking about the P-Zero for a high performance tire but was not expecting this level of performance. In dry conditions these tires provide monster grip, perfect for accelerating and deceleration quickly. They have great lateral grip while cornering and run out very well at high speeds with little tire noise. As for wet conditions they hook up better than most tires, being in a high horsepower car it is hard to get grip in the wet but even cruising on the highway in the rain they allow for smooth sailing and very little hydroplaning. Tire noise is next to none, tread wear is exceptional, and price is right on par with competition. By far the best tire i have ever used.

...Traction is solid (for stiffer rubber) and once warm on dry days they are great. There is no 'boats feeling when you are in the harder turns...

Never had this model tire before. It seems to be the replacement for what I ordered last. However, they were a bit cheaper the the previous so I figured I would try them. I was surprised to find they might have been a bit better. They handle well, better than the previous PR model. Traction is solid (for stiffer rubber) and once warm on dry days they are great. There is no 'boats feeling when you are in the harder turns. Noise wise, they are pretty good compared to other brands, not the best.

I am very happy with them and would buy again.

They lasted only 3,120 miles and were down to wear bars all the way across the tire! The fastest wearing tires I've ever come across. No racing, no drag launches, no sliding, just normal driving and they didn't last at all.

After 5600 miles driven on new asphalt pavement on winding mountain roads (25 miles to the bottom of the hill on one side and 6 miles to the bottom on the other) I am disappointed with how quickly the tread has worn. I am down to 6/32 from 11. A friend with the very same car and the same tires and nearly identical driving style (highway, local city, and mountain) has 8/32 all round with 5100 miles...

I am down to 6/32 from 11. A friend with the very same car and the same tires and nearly identical driving style (highway, local city, and mountain) has 8/32 all round with 5100 miles. Both measurements were taken at the tire shops where we bought them.

Why the difference? The tire and repair shop guys blame me. But that avoids the real question. Nearly identical driving in identical cars and yet 2/32 difference. At this rate my tires won't last past 10K miles. That makes them pricier than I bargained on. Still, their performance is top notch. Buy them again? Possibly.
