The Potenza S007 is Bridgestone's Max Performance Summer tire
originally developed as Original Equipment for the 2013 Ferrari
F12berlinetta. Designed for high-speed vehicles requiring maximum levels
of lateral force due to their sporty setup, Potenza S007 tires are
performance tuned for dry and wet conditions. However, like all summer
tires, they are not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures,
through snow or on ice.
Bridgestone is proud to have been
selected to develop tires for the most powerful Ferrari series road car
ever produced. The Ferrari F12berlinetta ushers in a new generation of
Ferrari 12-cylinders in the form of a car that delivers unprecedented
performance (0-125 mph in 8.5 seconds and a top speed over 207 mph) from
an exceptional new engine, innovative chassis design and sophisticated
aerodynamics.
Bridgestone engineers designed the Potenza S007
based on construction and materials technologies developed during
Bridgestone's 14 seasons as official FIA Formula One tire supplier. To
meet Ferrari's specifications, these technologies were combined with
Bridgestone's advanced knowledge of tires at the molecular level,
helping to optimize the mixture ratio and reaction between carbon,
silica and rubber, which reduces rolling resistance and fuel
consumption.
Potenza S007 tires feature an asymmetric tread
design with wide outside shoulders and unyielding notched-ribs to
enhance steering response and grip on dry surfaces. Wide circumferential
grooves help channel water through the tire to preserve wet
traction.
The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts
reinforced with two layers of spirally wrapped nylon to blend high-g
cornering with high-speed durability. The casing features rayon cord and
a specially tuned construction to enhance cornering grip, even under the
most severe load conditions.

I was genuinely shocked with how well they perform in the rain though. In situations where the factory all seasons that came on the car would struggle to maintain control, the advans handled it with no problem...
I first purchased these tires back in october 2021 because they were recommended to me multiple times on an enthusiast facebook page. These tires have been put through just about everything over the last two years; two trips from florida to north carolina/tennessee, tons of spirited driving in the mountains as well as the lovely flat florida land (lol), lots of highway miles, and normal day to day usage in the city. These tires have met and exceeded my expectations in everything I have used them for. With spirited driving, it takes quite a bit to get them to reach their limit and they will let you know when they do. With daily driving (commute, traveling, etc.) they aren't the quietest tires out there but its really not bad at all, granted my car is heavily modified so I do not think it would make a difference. I was genuinely shocked with how well they perform in the rain though. In situations where the factory all seasons that came on the car would struggle to maintain control, the advans handled it with no problem. Here I am about 2 years later writing this review as I am on my way to purchase them again before my trip back to north carolina to enjoy the mountain roads again. For a 280TW tire, they have lasted long enough and as of writing of this review they still have 3/32 tread left, which is about my limit as its starting to get sketchy when it rains but dry performance is definitely still there.
Long story short, if you are thinking about getting these tires, give them a shot. I highly doubt you will be disappointed.

...Did ok in the rain as far as hydroplaning, wet traction after rain stops was pretty good and was still grippy...
I drive spiritedly in city 85% and highway 15%. Today was my first autocross track day, so its hard to rate the tire for that, but I will try. As far as grip goes, I went to Homestead AMR track at the small track for go-karts. Very tight track so as a first timer I was sliding around alot putting the tires through a lot and the grip was very consistent. Any tire can slide around if you don't drive well, I should've been on the throttle less and when I did let off a little bit it hooked right away. On launches at start they did loose some grip as the day got hotter but still vey consistent. Took corners very fast and braking hard. Tires still look pretty good after 21 laps taking some breaks in between. For daily driving it was a very grippy tire. Did ok in the rain as far as hydroplaning goes, wet traction though after rain stops was pretty good and was still grippy. Lower treadwear though so won't last as long as other tires, but they are grippier.

...I just completed a 4,000+ mile roadtrip and these tires performed great on mountain roads, long highway stints, and in thunderstorms...
Super impressed with the V601's. No its not going to blow you away like a 200tw or lower hero tire will but the balance between tire life and ultimate grip is fantastic. I just completed a 4,000+ mile roadtrip and these tires performed great on mountain roads, long highway stints, and in thunderstorms. For the price they're a no brainer if I can continue to find them for 2/3rds the price of Michelin PS4S's

Customers praise the Yokohama ADVAN Apex V601's dry traction with most scoring 9s and 10s, highlighting excellent grip and responsive handling. A few note scores between 7-8, still performing well in summer conditions.

...Really solid feel to the ground. You can tell the limit of the tire pretty well and its in my way safer...
Surpising good traction on dry, not sure on wet since LA has no rain even since i got these tires. Really solid feel to the ground. You can tell the limit of the tire pretty well and its in my way safer. Using to drive daily and also some canyon attacks. Works amazing great, compare to the stock tire i have from continetal, this is much gripper. Wear is not reallt bad also, driving harsh for 2000+miles and still see to have 7/32 thread left. Will get another set if i wear out this one.

...Dry traction is as good as any 200+ tread wear tire out there... Very shallow tread depth, especially at edges, tires are clearly made for performance and increased my STI's limits considerably...
Replaced stock Advans off of an STI with these and they're night and day better. WAY better on reducing road noise and general comfort, wife (who hates performance parts of any kind) applauded the tires as very comfortable and quiet. Dry traction is as good as any 200+ tread wear tire out there. Very shallow tread depth, especially at edges, tires are clearly made for performance and increased my STI's limits considerably. Wet traction is an issue and these will definitely hydroplane, must be careful in rain although have never lost control. They communicate the limit very well and respond well to measured inputs. Would 10/10 buy again.

Feel like an upgrade from PZeros in almost every way except feedback to small steering adjustments seems numb first 5 degrees of wheel turn... Plenty of feel and lots of confidence around corners at fast speeds in dry conditions.
Feel like an upgrade from PZeros in almost every way except feedback to small steering adjustments seems numb first 5 degrees of wheel turn. The real surprise was ride quality substantially better was not expecting that. It has been a few years since I had Michelin PSS but I feel these are better ride quality and similar in other categories. My cars exhaust is quite loud have never heard any tire noise on any tire, unable to comment. Also uncertain of tire wear my car eats tires due to weight, alignment etc rears go in 6-8k regardless of brand, tread rating etc. Worth a try if you enjoy ride quality and near neutral steering numbers. Plenty of feel and lots of confidence around corners at fast speeds in dry conditions.

...Ride is so much more comfortable and honestly the handling on track has been quite impressive...
Ridiculously, hilariously better than the stock Hankook Ventus V12 S1 evo2 tires that came on my S4. Ride is so much more comfortable and honestly the handling on track has been quite impressive.
Given the price I'd recommend them for anyone but they don't feel like a compromise for money. Will you confuse with a P4S? Probably not. But it's a big upgrade from stock.

Really comfortable for a performance tire and very responsive...
Really comfortable for a performance tire and very responsive. These aren't as grippy as something like the Pilot Sport 4Ss but imo they are more predictable at the limit and break traction very gradually and are easy to correct. They are also very inexpensive compared to comparable performance tires so if you enjoy sliding around a lot or do a lot of autocross/track days and don't want to destroy your wallet these feel like a great choice. My only minor gripe is I would love if these were available in 235/40 (I got 245/40) but that's an uncommon size anyways. I haven't driven them long enough to comment on their durability but so far I love them and would likely get them again.

After 10,000 miles, I would not recommend due to poor wet traction and constant road noise. Dry and thread life consider better than avg.

...They have worn well, grip fairly well when warm and have handled wet track duty better than I expected...
These tires are used for to/from track driving, as a track tire in the event of rain and for the occasional trip around town if I want to get the car out and about. Car is not a daily. The V601 is a great tire for the price point. In my opinion, performs and has treadwear comparable to the PS4S for significantly less cost, which for me makes it a better tire. I’ve also had Cup 2’s on my car and not at all worth the price. They have worn well, grip fairly well when warm and have handled wet track duty better than I expected. Drove home once through heavy rainfall, and though at reduced speeds they did not fell floaty or unstable. Biggest win for the V601 is a full set checked in around $1K (Yoko has good rebate offers) and I’ve gotten more life out of them than the much more expensive PS4S. I’ve been a Michelin loyalist for many years, but I think their tires aren’t as good as they used to be and are at the top of the cost range. Tires are not a place to “bargain shop” by any means, but these punch well above their weight and are good shoes.
