Most customers rate wet traction highly with scores of 8s and 9s, praising strong grip and hydroplaning resistance. While a few lower scores exist, the majority find it reliable in rainy conditions.

I was genuinely shocked with how well they perform in the rain though. In situations where the factory all seasons that came on the car would struggle to maintain control, the advans handled it with no problem...
I first purchased these tires back in october 2021 because they were recommended to me multiple times on an enthusiast facebook page. These tires have been put through just about everything over the last two years; two trips from florida to north carolina/tennessee, tons of spirited driving in the mountains as well as the lovely flat florida land (lol), lots of highway miles, and normal day to day usage in the city. These tires have met and exceeded my expectations in everything I have used them for. With spirited driving, it takes quite a bit to get them to reach their limit and they will let you know when they do. With daily driving (commute, traveling, etc.) they aren't the quietest tires out there but its really not bad at all, granted my car is heavily modified so I do not think it would make a difference. I was genuinely shocked with how well they perform in the rain though. In situations where the factory all seasons that came on the car would struggle to maintain control, the advans handled it with no problem. Here I am about 2 years later writing this review as I am on my way to purchase them again before my trip back to north carolina to enjoy the mountain roads again. For a 280TW tire, they have lasted long enough and as of writing of this review they still have 3/32 tread left, which is about my limit as its starting to get sketchy when it rains but dry performance is definitely still there.
Long story short, if you are thinking about getting these tires, give them a shot. I highly doubt you will be disappointed.

...In the wet the tire is great too.
Great tire for daily use. I would recommend this tire to people. There is little to no noise at all. Has lots of grip on turn in and throughout the corner. In the wet the tire is great too.

...Really solid feel to the ground. You can tell the limit of the tire pretty well and its in my way safer...
Surpising good traction on dry, not sure on wet since LA has no rain even since i got these tires. Really solid feel to the ground. You can tell the limit of the tire pretty well and its in my way safer. Using to drive daily and also some canyon attacks. Works amazing great, compare to the stock tire i have from continetal, this is much gripper. Wear is not reallt bad also, driving harsh for 2000+miles and still see to have 7/32 thread left. Will get another set if i wear out this one.

...Dry traction is as good as any 200+ tread wear tire out there... Very shallow tread depth, especially at edges, tires are clearly made for performance and increased my STI's limits considerably...
Replaced stock Advans off of an STI with these and they're night and day better. WAY better on reducing road noise and general comfort, wife (who hates performance parts of any kind) applauded the tires as very comfortable and quiet. Dry traction is as good as any 200+ tread wear tire out there. Very shallow tread depth, especially at edges, tires are clearly made for performance and increased my STI's limits considerably. Wet traction is an issue and these will definitely hydroplane, must be careful in rain although have never lost control. They communicate the limit very well and respond well to measured inputs. Would 10/10 buy again.

...These tires once broken in have a lot of grip through corners... You'll definetly be imnpressed with the grip they give. Almost like a 200tw tire.
Went for a square setup on my bmw 128i, these tires once broken in have a lot of grip through corners, i was weary to do the price but they are as good if not better than michelins and any expensive brand. Good budget track day tire. Even if prices didnt apply id choose this tire over any other summer tire. You'll definetly be imnpressed with the grip they give. Almost like a 200tw tire.

Most customers rate comfort highly (scores 7-10), praising smooth handling and refined road feel. Aligns well with max performance summer design. A few note occasional harshness, but overall satisfaction remains strong.

Really comfortable for a performance tire and very responsive...
Really comfortable for a performance tire and very responsive. These aren't as grippy as something like the Pilot Sport 4Ss but imo they are more predictable at the limit and break traction very gradually and are easy to correct. They are also very inexpensive compared to comparable performance tires so if you enjoy sliding around a lot or do a lot of autocross/track days and don't want to destroy your wallet these feel like a great choice. My only minor gripe is I would love if these were available in 235/40 (I got 245/40) but that's an uncommon size anyways. I haven't driven them long enough to comment on their durability but so far I love them and would likely get them again.

...Ride is so much more comfortable and honestly the handling on track has been quite impressive...
Ridiculously, hilariously better than the stock Hankook Ventus V12 S1 evo2 tires that came on my S4. Ride is so much more comfortable and honestly the handling on track has been quite impressive.
Given the price I'd recommend them for anyone but they don't feel like a compromise for money. Will you confuse with a P4S? Probably not. But it's a big upgrade from stock.

Most customers rate treadwear highly, with many scoring 8s and 9s. The ADVAN Apex V601's durable compound excels in summer conditions, though a few note variability in longevity.

...They have worn well, grip fairly well when warm and have handled wet track duty better than I expected...
These tires are used for to/from track driving, as a track tire in the event of rain and for the occasional trip around town if I want to get the car out and about. Car is not a daily.
The V601 is a great tire for the price point. In my opinion, performs and has treadwear comparable to the PS4S for significantly less cost, which for me makes it a better tire. I’ve also had Cup 2’s on my car and not at all worth the price.
They have worn well, grip fairly well when warm and have handled wet track duty better than I expected. Drove home once through heavy rainfall, and though at reduced speeds they did not fell floaty or unstable. Biggest win for the V601 is a full set checked in around $1K (Yoko has good rebate offers) and I’ve gotten more life out of them than the much more expensive PS4S. I’ve been a Michelin loyalist for many years, but I think their tires aren’t as good as they used to be and are at the top of the cost range. Tires are not a place to “bargain shop” by any means, but these punch well above their weight and are good shoes.

...Unfortunately, the mileage you get considering the grip levels is a bit disappointing. My driving on these tires consisted of 90% regular street driving, 10% fast canyon driving, with 2 autocross events sprinkled in. I got 15k miles before they hit wear bars which isn't terrible but definitely below the 20k I was hoping for.
These were my first set of summer tires, but now that I've moved on to the more refined and newer Continental Extreme Contact Sport 02, I feel like I better understand the pros and cons of this tire better. Overall, they were great value at the time of purchase, being about 25% cheaper than the top brands. I was considering getting these again but the price went up at the time of replacement and I wanted to try something else.
That being said, I really loved the steering feel of the tire, and it had a nice weight to it. You got a good feel for what the tire was doing underneath you compared to the ECS02. The ECS02 did have better overall cohesiveness and felt more balanced during weight transitions, so it's a trade off. The V601 was grippy but lacks compared to the ECS02, especially once they wear down. I don't know why but they seemed to lose a lot of grip, to the point where they gripped like UHP all seasons by the time they were at wear bars. They're great tires when relatively new, though, and still feel very controllable. It doesn't rain too hard here in the Denver area, so I don't have the most experience in the rain, but they felt planted during normal driving. I did do one canyon run in the rain, and it had more of a tendency to feel a bit unsettled in hard cornering.
Overall, the V601 is a sharp handling tire that seems to break into understeer a bit earlier than the Continentals. It's a tighter feeling tire but also a bit more edgy and less refined. Cracks in the road translate through the wheel more and it turns into corners sharper. Some people may prefer that as the Continentals are a bit more slow to respond.
Unfortunately, the mileage you get considering the grip levels is a bit disappointing. My driving on these tires consisted of 90% regular street driving, 10% fast canyon driving, with 2 autocross events sprinkled in. I got 15k miles before they hit wear bars which isn't terrible but definitely below the 20k I was hoping for.
