The Geolandar A/T G015 is Yokohama's On-Road All-Terrain tire developed for drivers of light trucks and SUVs looking for a tough and durable tire capable of withstanding off-road duty while providing long treadlife and light snow traction sufficient to earn the tire industry's severe snow service certification and three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.
A chip- and tear-resistant Triple Polymer tread compound is molded into an aggressive, symmetric tread design to allow for easy cross-rotation and improved wear characteristics. Focus on the tread block pitch variation enhances comfort via reduced noise levels. The optimized tread pattern features deep circumferential grooves for water evacuation and hydroplaning resistance, with 3D sipes and lug grooves specifically shaped to increase the number of biting edges for all-season traction in light snow.
The tire's internal construction consists of two high-tensile steel belts on top of a two-ply polyester cord casing and a spirally-wrapped nylon reinforcement to blend stability with ride comfort.
Note: While non-winter tires featuring the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol may provide additional longitudinal snow traction beyond what all-season (M+S) tires not bearing the symbol can deliver, they do not match the capability of a true winter tire in all adverse weather conditions.

These Yokohama Geolander A/T G015 tires preform very well so far, in the rain they are very competent, in the dry the preform excellent, the ride is very good and they are quite tires. They don't build up much heat on my Toyota Tacoma SR 4x4 either, when I check them after trips they are always only slightly warm so they are preforming excellent in this respect. The tires look good with their white outlined letters as well. I would purchase these tires again.

...The traction in the rain, snow, and ice is fantastic. I've loved how they perform. They're a massive improvement over the stock Dunlops that 2nd gen 5 lug Tacomas come with...
Tires installed in Feb of 2020 with a date code of 1319. First tire failed at 1000 miles in late June. It was on the RR. My mom was driving my truck on the interstate when it tore at the bead and up the sidewall. Completely shredded. Got that replaced. A few months later I noticed the FR tire was bulging. It also looks like it's failing at the bead. I swapped it to the RR and put the new RR on the FR. I contacted Yokohama's customer support about it and they said I must have hit a pothole. I haven't. It's second nature for me to avoid potholes like the plague because my other vehicle is a lowered Miata. Even then, this is supposed to be an "off road" tire that's built to take abuse. I was annoyed because 2 new tires failed in 6 months and just ignored the problem initially then kinda forgot about it until recently. Yesterday (May 2021) I moved my truck from my garage to my paved driveway where it sat for about 8 hours. When I went to move my truck back in I noticed the LR was completely flat. I tried to reinflate it but it would not take any air. So I out the spare on. I've inspected the tire. No nails, no screws, no obvious holes, no obvious tears. The ontly thing I can see is where it looks to be partially debeaded. It was fine when I parked it. Flat when I next drove it. 3/4 tires that I originally purchased have failed. I should probably also state that I'm an automotive tech and have mounted and balanced a few hundred tires. I have a decent amount of experience with tires. I'm not some keyboard warrior sitting in mommy's basement trying to badmouth a product. I really wanted to like these tires. The traction in the rain, snow, and ice is fantastic. I've loved how they perform. They're a massive improvement over the stock Dunlops that 2nd gen 5 lug Tacomas come with. But after 3 tire failures in less than a year and a half I just can't recommend them.

Tires came with my Subaru Outback Wilderness. Not overly impressed with the look and style and questioned it real ability to be an off-road capable tire. Pleasantly surprised by overall performance. I have run this tire through loose beach sands with no real issue, as well as recently off road during a camping weekend where the fire trails became sloppy grease mud after heavy rains. Now, the performance of the tire may have been greatly helped by Subarus excellent drive AWD system. Highway road performance is quite good. Due to its more expensive cost and some better reviewed tire brands, probably not purchasing again but once again, a good overall tire for OME and the average purchaser.

...Absolutely unstoppable in the snow when 4wd engaged. Surprisingly capable when 2wd engaged (rear wheel drive). Braking and starting on snowy hills is not an issue...
First major observation: insanely quieter than the Dueler AT Revo 2. 10/10 Second major observation: Absolutely unstoppable in the snow when 4wd engaged. Surprisingly capable when 2wd engaged (rear wheel drive). Braking and starting on snowy hills is not an issue. 10/10 Ice is handled very nicely although a dedicated ice/ snow tire will do a better job (obviously). 8/10 Only complaint is that they are not as hydroplaning-resistant as I thought they would be, however they are still incredible in the wet. 9/10. For the money, I believe they are the best you can get.

I bought these tires because they were one of a very few that came in the size that would give me a correct speedo reading (my Crosstrek speedo read 2mph slow with oem tires) and gave me a .4 inch increase in ground clearance without needing a suspension lift. Last winter I tried to get stuck in 12 inches of snow in a park that was never plowed and couldn't. Looking in the rear view mirror I saw two tire tracks and the marks left by the belly pans of the car. I live close to a round-a-bout (traffic circle) that was usually solid ice last winter due to the water from vehicle exhaust freezing on the roadway. Never did I experience any traction issues and felt very confident when entering during these icing conditions. After 18,000 miles the tires are down 1/32 inch in tread depth and I drive more aggressive than I need to. All together I am very happy with these tires. They are no louder than the stock Yokohama all-seasons that came on the car and offer superior wet, snow, and off road traction. I will definitely consider purchasing them again. But, the way they are wearing, I probably will replace the car before I need new tires.
Most customers give high scores of 9s and 10s for dry traction, highlighting confident grip and responsive handling. A few rate 7-8, noting minor variability on paved roads.

...Yes, they're incredibly quiet on the road, very smooth with great dry traction...
Tried to post this to the Yokohama homepage for review and they "moderated" (deleted it)

Researched replacements tires for my Tacoma extensively. The G015's sounded too good to be true and unfortunately they were. Yes, they're incredibly quiet on the road, very smooth with great dry traction, however these tires are a disaster in the snow, the very reason I bought them. Triple 3D sipes change shape as the tread wears to maintain biting edges for confident all-season traction… No, zero biting edges and zero confidence for me… Enduro Compound helps rubber remain pliable over a broad range of temperatures for enhanced braking and handling in wet and snow… They failed to handle two inches of wet snow and slush… Failed to make it up my driveway, limited slip kicked in as I slid back down the driveway. Got a "running" start, same result... Two inches of wet snow and slush on a gravel driveway and zero traction on tires with Triple 3D Sipes and Enduro Compound… Had to engage 4H to make it up the incline, ridiculous… What aggravates me the most is I missed my 30 day satisfaction guarantee replacement by 10 days. Unfortunately I can't predict the weather… Yokohama, rather than cut and paste your blanket corporate statement "We appreciate your feedback about the performance for our tires. We've passed your comments on to our product development team to help them with future products. Yokohama Tire Consumer Affairs"… which says absolutely nothing, I'd appreciate a phone call or helpful information here that can help myself and other consumers. Couldn't be anymore disappointed with these tires.

...Dry traction is excellent. It feels like the CR-V is glued to the road...
I bought these 17 months ago. After 8000 miles, I was below 50% on the front tires, about 75% on the back. The treadwear on the front tires was insanely fast! (No alignment or other issues on this vehicle.) At 10,000, the treadwear has slowed down, but there is no way these will come close to making 60K. I don't put a lot of miles on the car, and I don't drive crazy in this vehicle. I use it mostly for in town commuting, long highway trips with family and dogs, and on dirt roads in the Sierra Nevada near my home. Dry traction is excellent. It feels like the CR-V is glued to the road. Definitely a LOT more rolling resistance than the Sumitomo LS-Ts that came with it.
Here's the thing: these Yokohamas are next to useless on dirt/gravel roads. The slippage and skidding even at moderate speeds are frightening. The cheap Sumitomo touring tires had MUCH better dirt road/off road performance than these. I am hugely disappointed. It is dangerous to drive this thing at any speed on loose dirt/gravel, and that's most of the roads around me. I bought the Yokohamas to get the snow tire rating so I could get over the mountains without chains during chain controls. Ice traction is superb. Snow traction is good (but no better than the Sumitomos), dry traction is excellent, but for loose dirt/gravel, these are almost deathtraps.
When these wear out (which won't be long), I will just buy a set of Blizzaks for winter, and put the Sumitomos back on for summer. I had huge hopes for these, and read great reviews, but these are a massive disappointment. Truly a sub-par tire, and greatly overpriced for what I got from them. Avoid if you ever drive off pavement.

...I've been incredibly impressed with their dry and wet performance. They're quiet and smooth for an A/T tire, reminding me more of a highway or A/S tire...
I have had these Yokos on my GX470 for about 5k miles and 4 months or so. I've been incredibly impressed with their dry and wet performance. They're quiet and smooth for an A/T tire, reminding me more of a highway or A/S tire. The wet performance is one of the best I've driven. It's stable and surefooted, braking is excellent, hydroplaning is almost non existent. When we got 5" of slushy snow the other day here in MA, I was somewhat underwhelmed with their performance, specifically in cornering. The GX's capable 4WD system made getting going a breeze and the tires faired well here, but once you turn the steering wheel, the truck was all over the road, it felt like the tires had grip then all of a sudden they didn't, also the truck was like a sled when braking. I'll contribute a lot of that to the weight (almost 5k lbs) and less the tires, but I think next season I'll pay for dedicated winter tires. They're by no means unsafe, and they'll certainly get the job done, but if you encounter frequent snow, do yourself a favor and get winter tires. I'd definitely recommend these tires though they're truly incredible in the dry and wet.

...Comfort and noise levels are commendable. But one area I found these tires lacking was road feel and there was excessive moment over medium to large impacts...
This is the first set of all terrain type tires I have ever bought. I did extensive research based off of Tirerack results and customer reviews and found this to be a balanced and under appreciated performer of the On-Road All Terrain category. Based off the testing category’s that Tirerack has this tire was always towards the top of the test results at the time I purchased these tires. The best way to describe these tires is capable and predictable. Traction in snow, wet, mud, dirt, and the dry is great. Comfort and noise levels are commendable. But one area I found these tires lacking was road feel and there was a bit of excessive moment over medium to large impacts. Other than that I think these are great tires and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an all terrain tire with an on road performance focus.

Going from BF Goodrich T/A tires is a night and day difference! The BF's were loud, and Traction on pavement whether wet or dry was horrible. I would get oversteer when dry, wet I had to really be careful. The yoko geolander'si noticed an immediate difference in ride quality upon driving it out of my tire shop. Softer, quiet, more all around traction. Felt more secure cornering. It makes driving my 4Runner much more enjoyable. And the traction pattern is no slouch and should work excellently in snow and moderate off road situations. I cannot recommend these enough at this point. Fingers crossed these tires will last and continue to be performers. With the warranty offered from Yokohama this is a no brainer. GET SOME!
