Most customers give wet traction 9s and 10s, praising excellent grip and hydroplaning resistance. A few note slightly reduced performance in heavy rain (scores 7-8).

...Dry and wet traction are excellent, noise and ride comfort also...
Replaced a worn out set of Bridgestones with these Yokahama avids two years ago. The Trailblazer SS AWD is my daily driver and toy hauler. Spirited back road driving, Two trips from RI to FL [towing a boat] multiple trips to tracks towing a motorcycle trailer and occasional dirt road and beach use have given them a good test.
Dry and wet traction are excellent, noise and ride comfort also. Wear is very good at 20000 miles, I have at least one more FL round trip left in them. These tires and this truck are great on the road and will suffice for dirt or packed sand but you should understand they are not meant for off-road use. Decent in snow too. All in all, I'm happy with them and would buy them again.

...Traction is excellent, I have a hard time breaking the back end loose off the line, unlike the OEM rugged trails that would loose their grip easily, and became downright scary with the slightest hint of precipitation...
Really nice tire, quiet and smooth and handles nicely. They don't make the truck feel like its on rails on off ramps at high speeds like my old Kumho ECSTA STX tires did, but they don't road wander on the highway like the Kumhos either, so I definitely like this tire better. Traction is excellent, I have a hard time breaking the back end loose off the line, unlike the OEM rugged trails that would loose their grip easily, and became downright scary with the slightest hint of precipitation. Finally, the Parada's look great with the larger size and I don't have any rub at full wheel lock.

...We had some rain here recently so I did take these out for a spin and they cut through the water easily! I specifically aimed for puddles that had pooled on the roads to see if I would lose any control (city) and these tires cut through the water easily! Even going speeds of 55-60mph, puddles are a non-issue.
First off, the tires look great! The tread and design makes this tire stand out from the rest of the pack. If you want to be different, this may be a deciding factor for you.
Cornering is easy with the slightly wider tread. I was upgrading my stock Yoko G91As to these Pradas and the difference is substantial (at low and highway speeds). Very responsive in both city and highway driving. We had some rain here recently so I did take these out for a spin and they did not disappoint! I specifically aimed for puddles that had pooled on the roads to see if I would lose any control (city) and these tires cut through the water easily! Even going speeds of 55-60mph, puddles are a non-issue. With my G91As, it was impossible to get any kind of traction in the water so this was a BIG upgrade in my eyes! Not once did I feel like I would lose control in the rain test. The snow test will have to wait.
Since I drive mostly highway, I'm looking for a tire that isn't going to be noisy. I can safely say these are definitely quieter than the G91As. Radio volume is lower (saving my ears) and the tires generate a slightly high pitch once on the highway, but what tire doesn't generate a tone?
The comfort of these tires was TERRIBLE when comparing them to the G91As. They would generate a vibration in my seats and floor at highway speeds. When 99% of my driving is highway, this is BEYOND annoying! After replacing 2 tires that were considered "out of round" by Toyota, Tire Rack sent over 2 replacements. Vibration went down, but still there slightly. After a week of tweaking tire PSIs, I've come to realize that these are VERY finicky tires (at least on my RAV). If one tire is off by any amount, you will get vibrations at highway speeds. 34PSI on all 4 gives me the smoothest ride possible and it's SMOOOOTH. Keep this in mind.

Customers praise the Parada Spec-X's confident snow performance with most scoring 9s and 10s, while ice traction shows mixed results (scores 0-8). Deep snow traction generally rates 6-8, aligning with all-season expectations. A few note significant ice struggles, but most find winter capability suitable for light to moderate conditions.

...Excellant in snow, good on the ice (and they are NOT winter tires)...
Bought these right before the Northeast Pa winter hit...Excellant in snow, good on the ice(and they are NOT winter tires). But the best things about this tire are the comfortable soft ride I get and the absense of any wear on the tread. This is one good tire, buy them.

Havent had these tires for too long but as of right now I love them. They are quite and very responsive. I live in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri and not long after I purchased them, it snowed a bit here. Did not make a difference though. These tires held to the road and I haven't broken them loose yet. Granted in the truck that I drive I could, i choose not too. Normal, everyday driving is out-standing. Wet, Icy, snow covered or just plain ole' dry pavement, these tires defenately do the trick

I am not usuually the the guy that writes a product review, but Im usually not this satisfied with a product that I purchase. The Spec-X tires are twice what the OEM Goodyears were in all areas. Dry traction, Wet traction, Snow traction, ride comfort and especially cornering (I am a spirited driver)are vastly improved over the Goodyears which were pretty good tires over all, but not even close to the Yokahamas. I only have 4200 miles on the new tires but so far so good, and I puchased them for $154 a tire opposed to $219 for the OEM Goodyears. Thanks Tire Rack. I based my purchasing decision on reviews that I read from other consumers so I felt I owed a review.

...Excellent traction, wear, and response... with these tires I feel like im driving my Mustang again!...
I used these tires to replace goodyear eagle GT IIs... before, I would drive in the occasional snow and tons of rain, just like Missouri has. They would spin like mad, make tons of noise all the time, and just generally bad. Ive since replaced them with the new Parada Spec x when I put a 5/7 drop on my truck, and I wish I would have done this a long time ago. Excellent traction, wear, and response. I have also installed a rear anti sway bar, and with these tires I feel like im driving my Mustang again! Excellent... will never switch to another tire!

...They are quieter than the OEM tires and superior on every other measure as well...
Love these tires. The saved ------- yesterday when I had to lock 'em up driving in 4 inches of water. The idiot in front of me freaked out and I was too close. These tires grabbed that road and I zipped around that car like nothing. Whew. They are quieter than the OEM tires and superior on every other measure as well. Strong "buy".

I love how they grip the road in dry conditions...
I had these on my car when I purchased it in the early fall last summer. I found out I needed to replace them not too long after buying them so I got to experience what very low tread tires and like and brand new ones. Because I have 20" rims on the car I was very limited in the pool of tires I could choose from if I wanted to spend less than $1500. Living in Chicago the weather is crazy and so far my new tires are proving to be an excellent choice. Handles very well in the snow and ice. I love how they grip the road in dry conditions and rain as well. Overall it's a good tire for the price. After spending $1200 on all 4 with labor I'm hoping they last for a couple years before I have to even think about replacing them again.

Great tire!! I purchased this set based on the reviews posted here on The Tire Rack. I was worried that a 20" tire would not be as comfortable as the OEM 18" tires, however, I do not feel a difference in ride quality. Excellent dry, and wet traction. It has not snowed in MD, but when it does, I will leave updated feedback regarding snow traction. I highly recommend this tire.

Had five different sets of Yok Geolanders on three different Toyota RAV's, and I was generally satisfied with the overall performance/price of Yokohama tires. Decided to try a set of Prada Spec X's this time around. These tires are still relatively new, so haven't had a chance to run them in a variety of conditions, but so far I have a very favorable impression, based on ride comfort, low noise, and handling. Will update review when I have more miles.

I have gotten more than 44000 miles so far on these tires (yako Parada spec-x). They are best tires I have ever purchased. I put them on my truck in Nov 2006, and I am just now considering changing to a new set this spring 2010 before the summer heat gets here in Phoenix. Here is the crazy thing about how good these tires are, I have only rotated them about 4 times in three years, and only my two front tires show uneven wear on the outside corners. I certainly recommend rotating more often. I will only buy this tire for my truck as long as Yokohama continues to make them.

...The tires have about 15,000 miles and wear isn't really even noticeable. At this rate I expect to get 50,000 to 70,000 with out issue...
These tires replaced the OE Pirelli Scorpion P-Zero's. I was never happy with the OE tires performance in the wet and snow. The choices for this vehicle size are limited. After much research I chose the Yok Parada X-Spec. This tire has been completely superior to the OE tire. The dry traction is about the same and wet is improved. The snow performance is outstanding for the type of tire. I actually have confidence to drive this in the winter. The tires have about 15,000 miles and wear isn't really even noticeable. At this rate I expect to get 50,000 to 70,000 with out issue. The best improvement made to this vehicle. I love them.

...42,000 miles and if I was inclined could squeeze another 10,000 miles from them...
I put the 265/50-20 on my Pacifica in order to de-chick the car somewhat. It worked and the car took on a completely differant look. Although because I couldn't find the exact wheel offset I wanted the track was about two inches wider than original, it ended up adding to the owerall stance and was quite acceptable. What I didn't expect was the performance I got from these tires, and by that I mean treadwear. They ride quietly, handle well (for a Pacifica) rarely need air, have never hydroplaned, and they see alot of heavy rain. Best of all, 42,000 miles and if I was inclined could squeeze another 10,000 miles from them. Due to all the rain we get here in the summer and fall I'm not going to push my luck and buy another identical set. Oh, they are also at the lower end of the price scale. Excellent value, very satisfied.
