Reduced wheel weight of 10.5 pounds each (18 v 19” OE) made a noticeable improvement in ride comfort / acceleration / braking. Complemented 24 # total brake rotor weight reduction years earlier upgrading to 2 pc rotors. Stage 2 APR tune with >2x larger intercooler is ~50% more power than stock. Much quicker than a stock RS5. Impossible to know how much ride improved from lighter wheels v 1/2” taller sidewall, but risk of tire & wheel damage I frequently experienced with OE 19” must be greatly reduced. For street use there was no noticeable sacrifice of traction or steering response during aggressive driving in the Blue Ridge mountains. The OE 5 spoke 19” wheels were more attractive & easier to clean.
Good, light wheel when compared to factory. Shaved 9 lbs. a corner over factory wheels. Slight MPG improvement. Noticeable handling improvement. Fairly easy to clean. Provides good access to painted calipers for cleaning. Also allows you to see brake pads for checking material remaining.
These are an inch wider than factory. Went up to 235/45/18 tires over factory 235s.
Choose Konig Heliogram titanium color for my M340i xDrive. Saving almost 10 lbs/wheel! Did weigh factory wheel, came in at 28 lbs! After spending a week and 400 miles with new wheels, very happy. Along with expected handling improvements, have also seen MPG go up easy 10% or 3 MPG in mixed driving. I do put some miles on my car, 25-30k per year. So this will help long term. Factory wheels mostly hid the brake calipers. This wheel allows them to be viewed much better. Like the titanium color over the black with machined face factory wheels. Open spoke, wide spacing makes for MUCH easier cleaning of wheels and calipers. Stayed with factory 18 inch size. Wheels are 1 inch wider which along with weight savings has improved turn in on corners. We'll see how finish holds up over time.
Great wheels for the price. My Volvo XC40 came with 20" factory wheels and tires. I went with these 18" Konig wheels and 235/55ZR18 Continental EXTREMECONTACT DWS 06 PLUS tires. I dropped over 11lbs on each corner and it's very noticeable. The ride improved a lot so far I really like this setup.
