Instead of purchasing the high end wheel option from Mini in building my Clubman, I decided to go stock and then replace the wheels/tires with my ultimate dream set. I had the OZ wheels installed on the Michelin Pilot Sport 4s. I can't yet speak to performance, but I can to appearance and ease of cleaning. They are fabulous looking. I love this dark graphite color. It is almost black, but not so deep that you loose the design when looking at them from a distance. The Clubman is in Pepper White which is a cream color and not truly white. I have all black trim, having either ordered or covered all chrome. These are the perfect accent that goes well with the black trim.
Coming home I ran through what felt like a puddle of pepper and had to clean my wheels and bottom of the car immediately. These were a breeze to clean. There are no nooks or indents where junk gets stuck.
Props to Tire Rack for having your car in the actual color as a device to "try" the wheels on to see how they would look before you purchase. Thanks to the owners who uploaded photos of these wheels on their cars, it really helped enormously. All the sales people were really helpful. After looking at wheels and tires for more hours than I want to admit to, I felt confident when I made my decision that I had thoroughly looked at the options and had a good idea of what the set would look like. The shipping was super fast, so after waiting 3 months for my Mini to be built and shipped it was a treat to have them delivered quickly.
I put my stock set in the covers sold by Tire Rack. The covers are really nice as they protected the interior from dirt when taking them home. I may sale the stock set and if I do having these covers will help.
Hello all, dear Tirerack.com, the Alleggeritas fit on a Chevrolet Cobalt SS with brembos. Update the wheel years for fitment. I have no rubbing on the inside by suspension either though its very close.
Okay fist off the packaging for the wheels was very nicely done. The matte graphite color is beautiful and on my white cobalt they stand out.
The weight is incredible! They are so lightweight compared to my factory wheels.
Construction seems to be top notch by OZ Racing. As they state, i now own a peice of racing history.
I put Michelin all season 4s 225/45 17. The wheel and tire combo improved my steering response and acceleration is a lot quicker.
For Cobalt guys that have brembos, they clear them with plenty if space.

Overall happy with purchase of (2) front and (2) rear wheel/tires to replace Porsche factory 18-inch Lt alloy turbo look wheel and factory specified Pirelli Pzero Rosso Asimmetrico N4 tires. New OZ Racing wheels have the original design front/rear ET (offset) and designed to re-use factory lug-bolts. Fit/Form/Finish of the Alleggerita HLT Matte Graphite Silver wheels is very good. Time will tell regarding durability. Very few miles drive to date but the new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires are 'grippy' time will tell regarding durability of the tires and performance...
The wheel looks great and performs great in regards to being designed well and performing on the track. It is very lightweight. It is not that strong, however. This wheel will bend if you drive in a downtown area or expect to encounter pot holes. Also, the center caps after two years are very worn - the carbon fiber "look" is completely peeled. The wheel finish will not hold after two years either. LOTS of visible water spots. I do not use harsh chemicals or abrasives when cleaning. Nor do I leave the car parked outside. I am a mini enthusiast and keep my 04 mini clean! But I would NOT buy these wheels again. I am thinking a stronger, lightweight forged wheel instead. Tires I bought with this product and service from Tirerack were great, however.
Great set of wheels for my WRX. Offset of +48 (7mm less than stock) makes these legal for Street Class in Autocross and the light weight is noticeable the first time you pull away from a stop - less throttle and clutch slipping required. They are easy to clean, look sharp, and weight about 8lb less than the stock wheels. Zero complaints.
Excellent wheel choice for my 2013 Golf R. Huge weight savings compared to the OEM wheels - easily noticeable from the get-go, particularly in terms of acceleration. Color suits the carbon steel gray Golf quite well, though the wheels were slightly darker (more black) than I had initially anticipated given the images on the website. OZ included specific weight tags for each wheel, and I'm happy to say that all came in under the 18.0 lbs that was advertised (range was about 17.6-17.9 lbs actual weight). Pricey, but great upgrades. I'm swapping them forward onto my new 2016 Golf R, I love them that much. Wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sports, they are an amazing wheel/tire combo. The matte finish is a bit harder to keep super squeaky clean, but I honestly don't worry too much about bling.
So far, I've driven over 12,000 miles with these wheels on and they're the best bang for buck wheels. I was searching for a lightweight set of wheels for a reasonable price and these fit the bill perfectly. They even look pretty snazzy in my opinion. The matte graphic silver color is perfect and it's very easy to clean. These are serving me well in daily driving and a day at autocross.
