conversation with Tire Rack employee was pleasant, questions were answered to my satisfaction. Appointment quite timely. Installation quick and perfect. Only issue that should be noted and shared with your buyers is that my tires were shipped to my home. We were not aware that that was going to occur. People who are not strong (elderly, infirm, etc) probably have a great deal of difficulty transporting rims to Tire Rack to install. Otherwise, rim was sent from outside warehouse, manufacturer (not sure who) in timely manner, and rims were here before install appointment.
These wheels look fantastic on my 2012 RAV4. They’ve completely changed the whole look of the vehicle, given it a mean off-road kind of look, like an ATV. They’ve gone through minor off-roading and I’ve had no issues. They wipe clean pretty easily, though to be honest I’ve done it all of one time (hard to justify cleaning your car regularly when you live in the mountains). They’re slightly offset from the OEM wheels, which coincidentally has eliminated the splash I used to get on the front windows (wasn’t a problem I knew I had until it stopped happening). Overall a fantastic looking wheel and pretty sturdy. Not sure that I would take them down a dirt track at high speeds, but they work excellently crawling on a rutted and rocky dirt road. They’ve made me fall in love with my car all over again and I would highly recommend to anyone looking to get an off-road look for their compact suv.
I was looking for a gentler ride on the mean streets of the mid-Atlantic and downsized from my OEM 20" wheels to 18". Purchasing wheels from a web site is a little daunting since you can't actually see the wheels up close. Tirerack does a great job of showing the wheel on your target car+colour. In the end, the wheels look even better in person and they look great on my black Arteon. I have had them for about 300 miles and I am not sure what I can say about them specifically that isn't overshadowed by the tires that I put on them (ok, tirerack put on them). I am happy that I got a great looking, reasonably lightweight wheel, designed and made in Europe for a good price. So far I have had no issues with the wheels or the TPMS monitors that tirerack put on and this review turns more to be a review of tirerack's wheel sales process (which was easy for this first time wheel purchaser).
These are one of the very few rims not made in China. Instead they are made in Poland and seem very high quality. They look modern and great on my 2023 Prius xle AWD. Fit is perfect and no rubbing in wheel wells with recommended tires 205/65/16. Price was average and would buy them again.
