Bought for winter wheel and tire set for Audi A6. Rides and performs well with all season radials. Looks nice on the Audi for the price. Due to a log in the road on a stormy night, 2 wheels were bent at 60 mph. The wheels were out of balance but nothing visually wrong with the wheels. Ordered replacements and had them in 2 days from Tire Rack.
OEM wheels with 160,000+ miles were progressively pitting in the center, a bit of curb rash on one wheel on the outer part of the rim. And I suspected they had become out-of-round recently as the ride degraded suddenly, miserable on the highway at speed. A rebalance and rotation made no difference as it had done previously. Reworking and refinishing the wheels was too much, too long, and I still needed the car while the wheels were worked on. And OEM replacements also too expensive!
I thought dressing the car up with some new rims might be nice, different. So I went for the MSW Type 30 in accent black, the center of the spokes are polished, with black inside the spokes. They look great on the car and I’ve received several complements on the look. And the car rides smoothly again as it did when first new. I also ordered the Goodyear Assurance ComfortDrive SL tires to be installed and shipped too, this made for a nice overall package. Thanks Tire Rack!
