I chose these wheels for track use based on reputation, weight and price. These wheels are a solid 5-7 lbs lighter per corner than the 19" wheels I use for daily driving. You notice that weight reduction immediately and everything seems to just work better. The offsets are a little conservative but not problems with stock brakes. I have Stoptech ST-60's with a 355x32 front rotor set-up on the way.
I wish these wheels were offered in different colors because the bright silver is so bright and the design of the wheel makes them look smaller do to the re-inforced web design. Anyhow, for a track car, who cares, right?
I have not taken these on the track, but the installation was easy (my car is converted to wheel studs) and, wow, the weight difference is appreciated just putting them on the hubs! I was debating between these and the 18x11 OZ but I'm really wanting a 285 width rear tire to work well. I have tracked the car with this width in the rear, and I run a 245.40 front and like these sizes on 18 or 19's. The car is only about 330hp with mods, so the 285's in anything from an S-04 to and RS3 have plenty of mechanical grip.
I'm sort of *meh* about the looks, and my car is relatively low for a street car. Maybe I'll get used to it, but like I said, these are 95% track wheels.
