This was my first experience buying from Tire Rack.com. The service was exceptional. I went online and chose my rims and placed my order on a Sunday evening about 10:00pm. Within a few hours I received an order conformation in a very easy to read professional looking email. On Monday morning, early, I received another notice saying my order had been processed. I initially instructed Tire Rack to send the four rims to a dealer near my home. (they were on a Tire Rack's preferred list) On Tuesday morning at 10:00am I was walking out the door to visit the tire dealer to tell him to expect my four rims later in the week. The phone rang and the tire dealer said my rims had arrived. Two hours later I went and had them installed. Fantastic service all the way around! The rims I purchased were incredibly inexpensive compared to other rims I was searching for. I have never bought rims before and I learned a thing or two. There are two types of alloy rims. One type has an edge where a balancing wheel weight clamps on the edge of the rim. Most factory alloy rims come this way. The other type of wheel has no edge and the weights are glued on the interior surface of the rim. For some reason a couple of my wheels took 12 and 14 weights each to balance out. A little unsightly to me. On my Subaru Outback the front rims look fine. The rear rims, not so fine. For lack of a better word the center portion of this style rim is dinky. It barely covers the hub and you see a lot of the hub and the brake components. This no refection on Tire Rack, but be warned the center portion of these rims are quite small. Lesson learned.
