Purchased these wheels for my 2016 Mazda MX 5 Grand Touring model. My design plan for this machine is to give it classic looks that have a modern twist. These wheels fit the bill. The stock wheels are 17" with 205/45 -17 tires and going down to 16" with 205/50 -16 tires has given the car a more classic look. But the main priority for my touring car was a better ride without losing any handling. Stepping from the stock tires to Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires has met my goals. The handling has improved and the ride quality approaches that of my daily driver hatchback. Low profile tires do look more "sporty" but the superior grip of the new tire/wheel package make it drive sporty. As for unsprung weight I am not having any issues. I am also not pushing too much. The wheel design is reminiscent of the original Miata wheel but these are 8 spoke to the originals 7 spoke. The gun metal finish is a very nice matte type finish that contrasts smoothly with the shiny features of the car. The wheels do not go unnoticed but also blend seamlessly with the whole package. They do stick out a tad from where the stock wheels were but not a ton. I like where they sit as the gap in the wheel arches becomes less of a crime and looks more logical. My only downer on these wheels is cleaning them. Before install I polished and waxed them and I was surprised how long it took. Kind of a pain. Overall I highly recommend these wheels to anyone that is preparing their car with a classic approach.

After buying the Enkei Compe wheels for my 1997 Mazda Miata, I could not be more happy with my purchase. The order came just a few days after buying it, and everything came in perfect condition. Installation was simple and fast. The fitment was spot on and the gunmetal grey made the appearance of the car look ten times better! I would not hesitate to buy from tirerack again and I would recommend it to someone in a heartbeat.

Bought these for my 1978 Datsun 280z. Car is lowered on coilovers. Wheels match the car perfectly. With 225/50/16 tires, I did have to roll my fenders. May get away if you get narrower tires. Get compliments all the time. The finish is a matte finish, which actually looks really good.

I have this 16 inch Enkei Classic Compe on my 2013 Fiat Abarth for about 5000 miles along with my winter tires. The retro design looks great on the car like this and is not too heavy for a small car. Over all I love it. However, I notice a small paint peel when I receive the shipment. it is very small and I just let it go.
