I selected these wheels primarily based on performance (weight, strength, size), with aesthetics being a secondary consideration. I wanted something that was easy to live with on a daily driver, maximized performance during track days and hard driving, but also looked good.
There are certainly better looking wheels as well as less expensive ones, but ultimately the Enkei Racing RS05RR came out on top by scoring at or near the top in all the parameters I evaluated. I bought a package that included 18x8.5 ET45 wheels and Bridgestone Potenza RE-71R tires, and while the tires are noisier than the 19" OEM All-Seasons, handling improved with more responsive steering and less wandering, and incredible grip.
