The Dill High-Pressure 2-Wheel Tire Pressure Monitor provides real-time monitoring of two tires, including air pressure and temperature, and can be installed on most any two-wheel application. Warnings alert the driver to low- or high-pressure conditions, air leaks and temperatures changes. The system relies on an aluminum valve stem transmitter/sensor installed in each wheel to continuously monitor pressure and temperature. This data is wirelessly sent to the vehicle’s receiver installed on the dashboard. The receiver displays the pressure and temperature for each tire position and when an abnormal condition is detected an alarm is immediately sounded and an alert icon is displayed. The transmitter/sensor will detect tire pressures and temperatures at select intervals and transmit the data to the display regularly. As the data is received, the display will refresh. Display and sensors include external antennae to make it possible to send stronger radio signals over long distances and to receive weak signals over long distances. But to ensure proper transmission of data the distance between the display and the farthest sensor should not exceed 65 feet. A low-pressure warning is shown if the current pressure in a tire is lower than 23psi or when 20% lower than the baseline pressure depending on custom mode selected. When current pressure in a tire exceeds 46psi or 30% higher than the baseline pressure (depending on custom mode selected), alerts will be displayed. Likewise, when the current temperature in a tire exceeds 176°F/80°C or an air leakage exceeds 6psi in 16 seconds, the driver receives a warning via the receiver display and the system will not return to normal monitoring until the problem is corrected. This system's sensors fit in most passenger, light truck and trailer wheels that require 0.453" diameter valve stems. Please call if your wheel requires 0.625" or 9.7 mm valve sensors.
