Ok dont be alarmed I didn t rate the KW V3 s a perfect 10, that being said I feel for a lot more money there could be a better suspension for the double the cost. This Supra is a 980hp car with every modification you can imagine and well into the six figures for the build. I could have purchased anything I wanted for the supra but after much research and the type of comfort/ sport ride I was looking for, the V3 s seem to fit the build. So far with no adjustments I can say they are more than what I was expecting in comfort and handling so I can only imagine what a little adjustment will do. I previously had HKS RS coil overs and the V3 s are a huge improvement in ride and handling through the canyons. The ride is more compliant and less evasive. I find myself driving faster than before because the ease and comfort allows you to not feel so many bumps. There s virtually no bounce and they pass the girlfriend butt dyno for comfort so she doesn t mind going to meets and spirited drives with me. I highly recommend KW V3 s, they are the best coil over for the price. You would spend almost twice as much for another brand three way adjustable coil over that could be not what you want.

KW V3 s were the only serious choice for track work that had a fitment for this car. There is a learning curve with various track setups, and that is reflected in some of the "8" ratings. This car is driven to events, and has been done so with this suspension for the past four seasons. Full soft is acceptable for the road, and then I have much tighter settings for the track, which these coilovers handle nicely. Camber plates are a must, and I believe the Teins are the only ones that fit these coilovers when installed in this car.

As an avid road racer, I was looking for a track/street part - priority being track performance. The KW V3 suspension has been everything I ve dreamed of and more. The amount of adjustment has been incredible and allows me to set the car easily for different tracks and I can tone it down when I hit the streets. Sadly, I like the crisp suspension so much, I never used the street settings again. :) I have it set up for Sebring currently and the car stays planted on the most uneven expansion joints and, more importantly, Sunset Bend (turn 17) at Sebring. The car is flat and responsive in what is considered one of the most notoriously difficult tracks to figure out with your suspension setup. The V3s allowed me to make hairline adjustments until the car was cleaned up and I could enter the corner confidently at my threshold speed - making them worth every penny. They ride decently on the street, but they re certainly more geared toward track use (why I bought them)than street comfort, which I m fine with. Probably the best feature of the shocks are it s incredible rebound control which allow you to keep the tires on the ground over uneven surfaces. In a nutshell, this system has all the adjustment any track user would want, and they build your confidence because they work so well. Their construction has been flawless for the past 2+ years I ve owned them. I can still get under there and polish them to look brand new and that s pretty darn cool. If you are a track day user, get these. There is a reason why they are so successful in Europe at almost all levels of professional racing - their products are excellent. If you re just looking to lower your car or tell people you have coilovers, don t buy them. These are for serious people and aren t a gimmick like most others.

The Tire Rack is truly the only place from which I will purchase tires.    Read More
