The Commercial T/A All-Season 2 is BFGoodrich's Commercial Highway All-Season tires developed to combine durability with light truck tire capability for SUV, pickup, van and commercial vehicle drivers. The Commercial T/A All-season 2 is designed primarily for on-road use by providing predictable handling and year-round traction on dry and wet roads, as well as in light snow.
Utilizing a chip- and tear-resistant compound molded into a high-traction, symmetric tread pattern, the Commercial T/A All-Season 2 is engineered to track straight and true, with rigid shoulder blocks to help resist irregular wear. The optimized footprint helps evenly distribute pressure across the tread face, increasing tire longevity, while the CoolWedge shoulder insert improves cooling for prolonged life compared to the Commercial T/A All-Season. Four wide, circumferential grooves evacuate water from the contact patch to help resist hydroplaning, and the independent tread blocks of the intermediate ribs create biting edges to aid traction in slippery conditions.
Internal construction of the Commercial T/A All-Season 2 consists of twin steel belts reinforced by spirally wrapped nylon help maintain the tire's shape for enhanced performance at highway speeds while a two-ply polyester cord body balances ride quality with durability.

Wet traction also earns strong marks (7-10), with many noting reliable grip and hydroplaning resistance. Ride comfort receives widespread praise for smoothness, though a few mention occasional road noise. Treadwear shows mixed results-while some highlight long-lasting performance, others note rapid wear, particularly in aggressive driving scenarios. Feedback aligns well with the tire's summer-focused design, emphasizing dry and wet capabilities over all-season versatility. I got to test these babies out in Tornado weather! I was impressed with the tires wet traction! Very little Hydro action! They ride nice and smooth and have a slight road hum, but you can't hear that over the stereo! Dry traction and cornering are great!
Great on dry pavement, and phenomenal in the rain. I spanked a trailblazer ss in the rain today because he couldn't hook up...

...Very quiet, very stable, unbeleivable dry traction and excellent overall performance - all at a great price.
Tires for the Touareg take a lot of abuse because it is a 6000 lb. vehicle capable of pretty spirited performance. These tires meet the demands put on them with ease. Continental has a bad reputation with Touareg owners because of the OEM Continental tires which ship with many new Touaregs, but these Cross Contact UHPs are a completely different tire - for the better. Very quiet, very stable, unbeleivable dry traction and excellent overall performance - all at a great price.

...handles well, withstands lane changes 135mph no problem, hugs the road like a glove... great dry traction...
Good street tire, handles well, withstands lane changes 135mph no problem, hugs the road like a glove, road noise not an issue... great dry traction, very decent in rain, however any type of off-road conditions, terrible... i went to go thru a little mud, they bogged up immediately if i didnt have momentum i would have been stuck, but you cant have your cake and eat it too, i guess i need two sets of wheels ones with snow/mud tires, then another with street hi-perf tires.

...Very satisfied with this set of tires and they have made a huge difference in comfort, noise level and traction
My previous tires were in fare shape and probably had another 10k miles on them but I had one tire that had an unfixable puncture, since my wife drives this car from time to time I decided to swap the full set out. Very satisfied with this set of tires and they have made a huge difference in comfort, noise level and traction

...They have a nice smooth ride with very minor noise...
These tires are probably the best I have owned so far. They have a nice smooth ride with very minor noise. Grip on these is excellent. Corners are even more fun now with no tire squeel and hard corners at speed. Great quality at a good price.

...I've never made it past 25,000 miles on any tire on any car, but I'm at 37,000 miles and still have a moderate amount of tread left. The wear has been profoundly even. I've never seen tires wear so evenly...
I can't believe the mileage I have on this tire. I've never made it past 25,000 miles on any tire on any car, but I'm at 37,000 miles and still have a moderate amount of tread left. The wear has been profoundly even. I've never seen tires wear so evenly. Maybe it's partly due to the car. I've driven at highway speeds through torrential downpours, navigated snow covered back country hills, and put 37000 miles on in 1 year. My tires performed flawlessly in every condition.

...Customers indicate strong treadwear performance, with one specifically noting "Based on present tread depth readings, after 13,000 miles, I should recieve 70k to 80k miles of treadlife on these tires!!!"...
This is my second review on the Continental Cross Contact LX tire. The first, I submitted on 4-20-06, 500 miles after purchasing 4 for my truck.....I now have 13,000 miles on these tires. The first rotation was done at 7,500 miles. The 2nd rotation will be due in a few weeks..........In any event, these tires still command a perfect 10 in all categories needed for Calif. driving. Dry, and wet traction, hydroplaning resistance, steering response, handling, quietness or noise level, ride comfort, and treadwear are, so far, absolutely exceptional. Based on present tread depth readings, after 13,000 miles, I should recieve 70k to 80k miles of treadlife on these tires!!!........As stated in my first review on 4-20-06, I have many years of previous experience in the tire/service industry. Over time, I have read the thousands of reviews for all tire brands on this site. I now wish to inform all who read this that; EXCLUDING DEFECTS in MATERIALS and WORKMANSHIP, approximately 90% to 95% of the problems that I have read about on this site, can be eliminated through education and dispelling an old myth that have existed for many years out there concerning tire life. If all of you wish for the best possible tire life, please take some time and read on...... There a 4 ingredients necessary for long tire life that "YOU" can control! Don`t rely on your tire dealers. YOU must understand what the problems are and how to solve them! YOU tell your dealers what to do!..........#1)PROPER TIRE ROTATIONS!.... MYTH...You CANNOT rotate tires by switching your tires from one side of the vehicle to the other. You CAN ONLY rotate tires from front to back and back to front. REMEMBER THAT? THAT APPLIES ONLY TO "DIRECTIONAL" TIRES (tires that MUST revolve ONLY in one direction because of their tread design and for hydroplaning purposes). Directional tires will have an arrow on their sidewalls indicating the direction of rotation. However, with NON-DIRECTIONAL TIRES, you are able to switch sides
