Highway All-Season tires are for drivers who want a combination of pleasant on-road characteristics, long wear and all-season versatility, including traction in light snow. Highway All-Season tires branded with the M+S symbol are often used as Original Equipment (O.E.) on 2WD and 4WD, light- and medium-duty vans, trucks and pickups, as well as crossover and sport utility vehicles.

O.E. Highway All-Season tires are typically purchased as direct replacements for worn-out pairs/sets of the vehicle's original tires. They can also be used for other vehicle applications in complete sets of four or axle pairs if available in an appropriate size, load range and speed rating to match the existing O.E. tires' performance category and specifications.

Customers Say

Feedback analysis shows the Bridgestone Dueler H/L 400 delivers strong dry traction (scores 7-10) and a comfortable ride, with many customers praising its smooth handling on highways. However, treadwear receives mixed feedback, with numerous reports of rapid wear and lower-than-expected tread life. Winter traction and wet performance raise concerns, as scores frequently dip below 5, highlighting limitations in snowy or rainy conditions. While the tire excels in its intended all-season highway role for dry stability and comfort, its weaker winter/wet grip and inconsistent tread durability may disappoint drivers prioritizing year-round versatility or long-term value.

...The CX-9 is known to be a good handler, for its vehicle class at least, and I can see now how much of that is due to the tires. The Bridgestones are OE on this car. Since installing the Toyos, the sharpness and grip has really gone down...

I recently replaced these tires with a set of Toyo Vesado CUV tires and I am starting to regret it. The CX-9 is known to be a good handler, for its vehicle class at least, and I can see now how much of that is due to the tires. The Bridgestones are OE on this car. Since installing the Toyos, the sharpness and grip has really gone down. My wife drives this car just as much as I do and the first thing she said when leaving the tire shop was that the car handles more like a truck now and less sporty. I chose the Toyos thinking the wife would enjoy a smoother and quieter ride as the Bridgestones are a tad loud. It is not bad or wearing at all, but it is definitely noticeable. The improvement in comfort is not even close to the loss of performance though. I did not realize are good the Bridgestones were until now.
At more than 60K miles, the tread was not even to the wear bars yet, but I live In Florida and the rainy season is coming so I decided to go ahead and replace them because I could feel a loss of hydroplaning resistance with the shallow tread. A good amount of cornering grip was lost too even in the dry so that is another knock against the Bridgestones. For such a soft tire, I am amazed at how long they lasted. I corner aggressively enough that the tires squeal too so these things were not babied. The best attribute of these ties are the bite when braking hard. Several times when abruptly braking and emergency swerving, the ABS and stability control never even had to kick in because the tires just stuck. Mind you this was not full on braking though. No street tire is that sticky. Before the tread worn down, I still felt confident enough to cruise at 80 mph on tthe interstate even in the worst rain storms Florida has to offer short of a tropical storm. When it is time to change the tires again, I am going back to the Bridgestones. I can not comment on snow and ice performance, but the grip was still good at near freezing temps too.

...Before they got hold though these things really made this large family hauler feel very sporty considering this is not exactly a sporty vehicle. They really stick in the corners, feel responsive and had loads of braking grip. I had to brake abruptly a few times and the ABS never even had to kick in even though I felt like I was sure it was going to...

I just replaced these tires that came OE on this car. Even though I really liked these tires, this is the wife's primary vehicle so I chose something better suited for comfort even though I drive this car as much as she does.. At over 60K miles the tread was not even at the wear indicators yet. I replaced them anyhow because I live in Florida and the rainy season is coming so I was nervous about hydroplaning since the tread was low. I could notice a good amount of cornering grip even in the dry as they aged and the tires felt slippery in standing water. Before they got hold though these things really made this large family hauler feel very sporty considering this is not exactly a sporty vehicle. They really stick in the corners, feel responsive and had loads of braking grip. I had to brake abruptly a few times and the ABS never even had to kick in even though I felt like I was sure it was going to. They are a bit loud on some road surfaces, but really not that bad at all, especially before they were worn. Granted, I am more accustomed to driving sports coupes with summer tires though so noisy is relative to what you are used to. I replaced these with some Toyos thinking the wife would prefer the smoother and quieter ride. The first thing she said though when we drove home after the install was that the car felt more like a truck now rather than sporty. I guess I was wrong about her preferences. The CX-9 is known for being a sporty handler, at least compared to its intended competition, but it has definitely lost some of that advantage after the tire swap. Oh well, lesson learned. At least the Toyos were a lot cheaper, but I wish I had purchased another set of the Bridgestones instead.

...Dry performance is good/great. Quiet and somewhat responsive...

These tires came standard on our FWD CX-9 (Touring) model. We've had no issues with these tires at all with surprisingly little maintenance. I think the only thing I have done to the tires is inflate last winter. No Rotations, No Balancing, nothing. Its only now that I have noticed the front 2 tires need replaced since they have very little tread left on them (front wheel drive). The rears are still functional.

Snow performance is awful. Ice performance, likewise. Try climbing a hill that's got a little snow and forget it, even with all the weight of the CX9.

Dry performance is good/great. Quiet and somewhat responsive.

Wet performance is average as we have had no slippage and live in Dayton, OH where some storms can be severe at times.

All in all these tires aren't bad unless I have not yet realized what another tires quality on the CX9 may bring...Miles per gallon were right on Govt Standards, so tires weren't bad on mileage either.

I will be replacing the front 2 tires soon. I will likely try another set since the ratings these tires get is so low.

...The tires are fairly quiet and we've gotten extremely good milage from them...

These tires are OE equipment on my wife's SUV. She drives very carefully. On the occasions that I drive her vehicle, I've noted that these are not for performance driving but then again, I wouldn't pick an SUV for hot lapping anyway. The tires are fairly quite and we've gotten extremely good milage from them. I check inflation pressure once a week and rotate the tires regularly. At 58K miles they have slightly less than half the original tread depth and are not close to the tread wear bars. Most of the reviews on this tire are pretty bad, but if the driver is fairly mellow and doesn't have to deal with much ice or snow, I think they have delivered very good service.

These were OEM on my wife's MDX. I was surprised to see the overall low ratings for this tire. Although they weren't stellar, they weren't too bad. The first 25,000 miles or so were fine, but noise and ride comfort become an issue after that, and one of them developed a vibration at highway speeds. Otherwise, performance and tread life were adequate. We had no issues in wet conditions, and very little snow experience, but they seemed fine in light snow.

...They're quiet, ride well, and are lasting longer than I was expecting - given the sorry reviews...

Thumbs up. On my Lexus 450h(ybrid), at 20K miles (in on year) the tires still have 7/32" left. They're quiet, ride well, and are lasting longer than I was expecting - given the sorry reviews. They performed admirably during last winter's extreme low temperatures and snow. Full-throttle starts in rain (295HP AWD) results in traction-control activation. I haven't experienced any hydroplaning nor have I needed to panic stop - so using the 110 ranking above is merely my unscientific comparison against the crappy tires on my truck and the exceedingly performance-oriented summer tires on my German roadster. These tires perform well, are lasting longer than I had been led to believe, and are quiet enough to be unnoticed in my exceptionally-quiet car. I'll consider them against whatever is the "hot new tire" as replacements in another 20K+ miles. Thumbs up.

Absolutely scary on wet roads after 18,000 miles. These tires are original equipment and have about a third of the tread left. Looking at the tire after it has been partially worn, there's nowhere for the water to escape due to the tread design. They were great when new, but safety is a big concern at this point. ...Initially they are average in the rain, but wet traction has been steadily decreasing over the past 2,000 miles to the point where they are very dicey...

These tires came stock. They were decent in the dry and have good ride comfort, but forget about any type of spirited driving. Noise was not bad. They are down to about 5-6/32 tread after 19,000, so tread wear is decent. Initially they are average in the rain, but wet traction has been steadily decreasing over the past 2,000 miles to the point where they are very dicey. The first winter, we had a very mild winter, so I wasn't able to test them much. This past winter, they were horrible. Had about 15k miles on the tires. Just 2-3" of snow, nothing terrible, but they were horrible. Taking off was ok, but any type of turning even at low speed was terrible. And as soon as you touch the brakes, the abs would kick on.
Poor winter performance, declining wet performance, and lackluster dry performance prompted me to ditch the tires with plenty of tread left for some Goodyear Eagle Sport A/S. Dry handling is vastly improved and ride comfort seems about the same, but they do seem a tad bit noisier. Haven't driven them in the wet yet. I will post a review on the Goodyears as I get more miles on them.

These tires were standard on my CX-9 and while they perform well in dry and wet conditions they are absolutely unacceptable in light snow, heavy snow and especially on ice. I live in Chicago where we receive 45+" of snow per year and I have vowed since my first season with these tires to find a replacement. Regardless of speed, driver "conservatism", ABS, Traction control or AWD these tires are unable to perform in snowy/icy conditions.

My first winter with this vehicle and lost control on a small amount of snow on the highway. Quite possibly the worst tire I have ever had on a vehicle; tires were completely worn out at 38000 miles and became very loud on interstate pavement around 24000 miles. Worst aspect of tires is that they have virtually non-existent grip when turning in snow - it truly feels like you are trying to turn on ice with them. This is the only set of tires that has ever put me in a ditch at less than 10 mph in about 3" of light snow. I grew up on a dairy farm and driving in snow on gravel roads - this tire is truly "white-knuckle" scary in snow.
