Goodyear Eagle LS-2 

Factory tire on my Macan S. Much better than I expected from Goodyear. Very good grip and stability. I've driven these tires hard both on the track and the road with very good results. I've replaced both the front and the rears with these stock Goodyear tires. I'm very happy with their performance.

I'm surprised by the negative comments about this tire. This is the first OEM tire that I've been both happy and impressed with. They do not hydroplane except in the very worst conditions. They handle well & appropriately for a Subaru
and are generally quiet on the road. Mileage and mpg have been good - with 32000 miles & 33-35 mpg on trips. I think I still have another summer season in them. I do not use these in the winter so have no experience in snow - that's what snow tires are for and are needed in the NE. I will probably replace with the same tire, the first time ever for an OEM tire.

Great in the dry. Economical. Good stability and treadwear. Would definitely buy again.

I work with tires on a daily basis so I was selective when searching for tires for my wife and newborn. I read reviews and decided on some Eagle Ls2 tires despite some bad comments after seeing them in person at my job. I reached out to tire rack about the two ls2 variants and my questions were answered promptly and precisely.
I made up my mind and placed my order which I received so fast that I was able to get the tires mounted and balanced just before my next shift. As soon as I started driving out of the bay I noticed an immediate difference in the noise and ride comfort. As soon as I finished up with my alignment I hit the road and again was impressed with the grip and handling of these tires in size 235/45/18. Needless to say I’ve had an all around excellent experience with tire rack and I definitely recommend purchasing your next set of tires through them. Last but not least don’t be like me worried about others reviews, there is a multitude of differences that come into play such as the vehicle, tire size, balance, alignment, rotation, drive style and many more so don’t be afraid to pave your own experience.

No problems, smooth, quiet, handles all conditions (not been driven snow or ice) excellent.

Do. Not. Do. It. They’re the absolute worst tires you could buy. They were brand new on my LaCrosse when I bought it in January so I didn’t have much of an option on my choice of tires. Dry traction is literally the only traction you have with these and even that is abysmal. Wet traction? Never heard of her. Forget about any traction in light snow. You literally just sit and spin your tires. Mind you these tires only have 10,000 miles on them! I’m shopping for tires now to replace them because I wouldn’t even let my worst enemy get these tires. Buy at your own risk.

My car has a 3.6 l 310 horse front wheel drive
Theses tires have extremely poor traction and are very dangerous
Zero traction on dry pavement and worse on wet pavement
2 weeks ago it rained moderately and I did not feel confident driving above 45 mph
The tires only had 5000 miles on them
I just had the Assurance Weather Ready 2 tires installed on 12-2-24 and noticed a huge difference
Even the steering improved
I live on the East coast where snow/rain are common and these tires work great
The Eagle might be good in the South/West coast but here they are extremely dangerous

Purchased a set for my son's Impala. Original tire so they must be good, right? Wrong! These things are noisy, have sloppy dry handling, no traction in wet or snow, tread life is very short. They look half worn after 10,000 miles. Don't expect them to last until 20,000 miles. One tire had a high spot so big that it took 3.5 oz just to start to lower the vibration it caused at 55 mph. No amount of weight could possibly offset this condition. Had to rotate it to the back! I had Good years on my Caravan and the thing wobbled like a wobble head going down the road. C'mon Goodyear. You know how to make tires after all these years. Just do it!

First and foremost, these tires are absolutely TERRIBLE in the snow and ice. I live in Minnesota, so have quite a few months of driving in snow, ice, snow packed parking lots and side roads and the traction is NON-EXISTENT on these tires in anything but slightly wet and dry roads. No acceleration, just constant tire spin even when lightly working the gas. This makes me very wary of how far away cars need to be before I even try to pull out from a side street onto a busy road. If you need a hint... it's a LOT more time so as to not cause an accident because I'm wheel spinning and not able to get into the road and up to acceptable speeds before that traffic catches up.
Also, my driveway has a slight incline from the street up to the garage, nothing steep by any means, but twice last winter I had to leave my car on the street and shovel the drive before I could even pull up to the garage. I tried to pull in with 3-4" one time and around 6" another time and got stuck midway up the driveway. Even with small snow falls like < 3" the car spins it's wheels halfway up but finally makes a triumphant roll into the stall.

The braking isn't much better. I've never had a set of tires that starts sliding and engaging the anti-lock brake grind like these. Again, this is being very wary of the terrible performance and needing to stop much further from intersections with lightly pumping the brakes, They STILL SLIDE. This is not just speeding up to the intersection and then crushing the brakes like most people do now-days. I'm being very careful

Anyway enough ranting. I've seen people say positive things about them, but when I look most of them are from warmer climates, which is fair, they are fine tires for those places. But please, if you live in a place that has seasons like Minnesota or even if you get a few snows and some ice through your winter, look at a different tire. Your life and the the lives of others out there on the roads deserve better th

If you want to bring back the fear factor, hydroplaning, lack of grip in any snow conditions. (Pennsylvania here). Then these are the tires for you. I didnt even put 20 k miles on these tires and ended up buying continentals. If you value your car and most importantly your life. Stay away from these tires. However, dry traction is pretty good and the quiet ride is therapeutic, so long as it doesnt start to rain or lightly snow

Worst tires ever. I don't understand why anyone would willingly pay money for these. These are OEMs and need to be replaced at 26k miles. I'd rather pay a couple hundred more and get tires that will actually last and be useable in not only dry conditions.

Worst tires I have owned. These were new from the dealership when I purchased the car. Less than 20k miles and all 4 need to be replaced. They are terrible in wet and snow marginal in dry, the tread wear is the worst I have seen and they are more expensive then alternatives that perform better. I will not buy these again.

Not impressed with the durability of these tires at all. Had these on 3 different vehicles and they had to be replaced in all cases between 9000 and 20000 miles. I drive 40k to 50k a year and expect Tires to wear out not fail. One set could not be balanced after 10k because they were so far out of round. The other two sets bubbled in the sidewalks and had to be replaced. Vehicles = 14 Chevy Silverado, 16 Audi A4 and 15 Mazda 6. I have never had to replace so many tires prematurely - needless to say all the vehicles have Michelin or Bridgestones now and have 40 to 50k on them without a hiccup. These were OEM tires that were unacceptable.
