The Ecsta PS91 is Kumho's Max Performance Summer tire developed for the drivers of performance sedans, sports cars and sport coupes who want a tire with performance that matches the capabilities of their top-level automobiles. High-speed performance and handling in the dry and wet are emphasized, and like all summer tires, the Ecsta PS91 is not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

Kumho Ecsta PS91Formula 3 racing tire technology trickles down to the mainstream in the Ecsta PS91 with a new Carbon Black and Silica compound utilizing Max Grip Performance Resin to create maximum performance potential. Handling, responsiveness and high-speed stability are emphasized through enhanced block stiffness created by the C-Cut 3D design and the notched, continuous center rib. The 3D Dimple Design heat dimples minimize thermal buildup in the tread blocks, improving durability during hard use. Four wide, circumferential grooves evacuate water from beneath the contact patch, increasing hydroplaning resistance and wet handling.

The internal construction consists of a strong, two-ply rayon cord casing supporting two wide, high-tensile strength steel belts. High-speed capability is further bolstered with two full-width nylon reinforcement cap plies for improved handling responsiveness, stability and durability.

...Awesome dry grip and cornering, really good in the wet specially when pouring on the highway.

These tires replaced continental Sportcontact6 which I loved but spending over a grand on tires that only lasted me 6000 miles ( with rotations ) was not an option this time. My car is a vw cc with couple of upgrades, power wise it has a k04 and supporting mods, suspension wise it has vogtland cup kit, 25mm rear sway bar with solid links, ttrs front control arm and bushings. So far this tire has been better than the sportcontact6 based on price to performance ratio. Awesome dry grip and cornering, really good in the wet specially when pouring on the highway. And the treadware the tire just lost 1.5/32 seconds so it's wearing out amazingly slow for the abuse I put them through. The only think I think is s little let down would be the steering response it is a little slower than the sportcontact6 but not bad once you get used to it, definitely give this tire a chance you will not regret it unless you want some tract tire then this tire might not be for you, but for a daily driven car to have fun with I would get them again .

Exceptional grip in all conditions. Compared to the original F1 Supercars that came on the 1LE, these PS91s offer improved traction when accelerating and cornering and they don't turn into water skis as soon as the road gets damp. At 7,000 miles, I estimate that these tires will easily make it to 15k (the original F1s made it 11k). I can verify that the 295/35R20 square setup works on 1LEs with no rubbing issues. I'm actually halfway through a cross-country road trip and these tires have handled everything this great country can throw at them. From a downpour in Missouri to carving corners in Colorado to getting down and dirty for a couple hours in Monument Valley, the Kumho Ecsta PS91 has proven itself many times over. This may be the best tire on the market when you consider its capability, performance, and price.

...Cornering and stability are very good and these tires are very predictable. Steering response is excellent and feedback through the wheel is excellent as well. High speed stability and maneuvering is very confident and reassuring.

Picked up a set of these tires for my 2015 GT-R BE. Heard some good things, read the reviews, so I pulled the trigger.

Purchased 295/35/20 for the rears and 255/40/20 for the front. They were mounted on a set of Vorsteiner V-FF 103 wheels.

First of I can tell you that road noise from these tires is greatly reduced over the OEM Dunlop's.

Cornering and stability are very good and these tires are very predictable.

Steering response is excellent and feedback through the wheel is excellent as well.

High speed stability and maneuvering is very confident and reassuring.

Traction on hard acceleration is extremely planted. They bite hard and do not unpredictably break loose or lose their composure.

Bottom line these tire will equally perform and even out perform other competing tires that are more than twice the cost.

I am extremely pleased, and very surprised with the performance, and confidence these tires provide, especially at their price point.

I will defiantly purchase these tires again.
