P Zero tires are Max Performance Summer tires derived from 100 years of Pirelli motorsport experience and developed for the drivers of powerful sports cars, sports coupes and high performance luxury sedans. Initially introduced as Original Equipment on the Aston Martin DB9, Audi R8, Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, Lamborghini Murcielago, Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT and Mercedes-Benz AMG vehicles, the P Zero lineup also includes select replacement tire sizes. Pirelli's warranty does not cover tires that develop compound cracking due to use in ambient temperatures below 45° Fahrenheit (7° Celsius), so the P Zero, like all summer tires, is not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

P Zero tires feature a special silica and carbon black tread compound that proves competent during the first few miles of driving when the tire is still cold, as well as consistent performance throughout the tire's life. The tread compound is molded into Pirelli's S-treme asymmetric design in which the location and width of the circumferential and lateral grooves minimize deformation to blend responsive handling, hydroplaning resistance and wet traction with dry road performance, even wear and acoustic comfort. Special nano-composites in the compound beneath the tread protect the casing from deterioration and merge sport handling with ride comfort. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by polyamide cord plies and an integration of nylon and aramid cord that controls tire profile deformation and stabilizes the tread area to enhance high-speed capability and handling.

Limited sizes of the P Zero are available with Pirelli Noise Cancelling System, which involves the manufacturer adhering a layer of sound-absorbing foam to the inner liner of the tire to reduce cabin noise in the vehicle. These sizes are identified on the Specs page and in the search results.

Pirelli P Zero Reviews

User feedback reveals the Pirelli P Zero excels in dry traction, with scores often reaching 9-10 for confident cornering and precise handling. Wet traction also earns praise (7-10 range), offering reliable grip in rain, though a few note reduced hydroplaning resistance in heavy downpours. Comfort receives positive marks for ride quality, but noise levels show mixed feedback, with some reporting noticeable road hum. Treadwear scores (0-8) highlight concerns about durability, with many users noting a shorter lifespan than expected. As a max-performance summer tire, it delivers strong results in its intended categories, though aggressive drivers may prioritize its dynamic handling over long-term wear.

...It's been raining a lot and these tires have as good a traction as my previous all season tires... they ride just fine on wet asphalt and handle great in dry conditions...

Put these on my 2018 Dodge Charger. They fit on the factory wheels (20x8") just fine, look great, and drive really nice. It's been raining a lot and these tires have as good a traction as my previous all season tires. I won't drive them in snow or ice, so can't comment on those conditions. Not sure why these are called a summer tire, they ride just fine on wet asphalt and handle great in dry conditions. Really happy with my purchase. Would definitely buy again, but I don't know how long they'll last just yet.

...Dry traction is exceptional, whereas wet traction is just successful, I still need to be very careful accelerating but that is expected with any RWD car I suppose...

I purchased these tires for my 2020 Mustang Ecoboost. I am a very spirted driver and am pushing about 100hp over stock power so I am happy with the mileage I have gotten off of them. They are very sticky, especially when new. Dry traction is exceptional, whereas wet traction is just successful, I still need to be very careful accelerating but that is expected with any RWD car I suppose. I intend to get a total of 30k miles on these tires with my driving habits so I would imagine that a more easy going driver could get 45-50k out of them. In terms of performance, I can launch my car fairly well and corner very aggressively while maintaining traction. Overall, I highly recommend!

...Very good dry traction with good wet traction...

All the other reviews I have read seem to be dead on with my experience. Very good dry traction with good wet traction. Cornering and turn in seem a little softer than I expected, but I haven't driven this car with other tires yet. Could just be the vehicle set up. Assuming the tires on the car were original when I took ownership, I expect the rears to make 15-20k miles and the fronts 20k-30k. Noise levels are better than I expected from reeading other reviews, but still a little noisy.

...I'm not sure they're quite as razor-sharp as the PS 4s, but they're pretty darn close...

I used to roll only Michelin Pilot Sport 4s which are in my opinion the pinnacle of performance tires. I've not experienced a better tire for cornering limit, steering response, braking etc. But the treadwear was abysmal and the durability poor, especially near the end of tread depth. I removed front tires that had chunks of rubber missing on the inner edge with steel cords visible. That may be due in part to the lack of Porsche-homologated tread compounds for my car and/or my insistence on using an ultra performance-only tire on a heavy SUV. My hybrid Cayenne has a curb weight of almost 6000 lbs. It's almost certainly also due to the fact that I live rurally, and the roads I regularly drive are not in the best condition, both in terms of cracked pavement/potholes and surface debris (rocks, branches, etc).

The Pirelli P Zero comes with a Porsche specific tread and is intended for SUV use, so I decided to give them a try. I bought used at first to see how they were and was able to match the maximum mileage I previously got from new Michelins despite the preexisting wear, without any significant damage (no missing rubber, no steel cords showing). I was impressed with the even wear and longevity.

When Tire Rack offered old stock (2022 manufacture date) P Zero in my specification at half price, I jumped at the chance to get a new set. I've put only about 500 miles on them so far, but I am pleased and satisfied with how they perform. I'm not sure they're quite as razor-sharp as the PS 4s, but they're pretty darn close. And they feel distinctly smoother, with a more comfortable ride. Overall an excellent compromise. If they wear as good as expected, I'll stick with the P Zeros from now on.

My experience with Tire Rack has been excellent, from the opportunity to buy new old stock at half-price, to delivery and follow up. Would definitely do it all again. 10/10

Great value for the price ad these were on clearance. I’ve only had them a few hundred miles but grip and cornering is outstanding. Hopefully, they will hold up going forward and on the track.

Can't comment on the tire wear as these are brand new to me. But for max performance summer tires these are by far the most comfortable set that I've ever owned. The Conti ExtremeContactPro tires I had before the P Zero were comfortable, but the P Zero takes it to the next level. The tire is very soft at initial impact, but never has any unnecessary extra motions afterwards. Just a well controlled cushion at impact, and settles right after. Traction so far has been comparable to the Conti's. Tire noise also improved compared to the Conti. Loving them so far.

Service Rep Walt was very helpful. Great customer service from Tirerack. Too soon to say on the product but i'd say 1st reaction is more comfortable ride from the original runflats. Still as responsive but improved comfort and reduced road noise. That's a winner to me. Don't know how they will wear at this point.

Horrendous tires. Didn't even last 11k miles. Nearly bald. The tires are good for the first 500 miles and then it all goes bad from there. Noise, traction and feel are horrendous from 1k to 10,500 miles. No traction at all in wet weather. I will never buy Pirelli's again. You pay for the name - not the quality
