The SP Sport 7000 A/S is one of Dunlop's High Performance All-Season radials developed for Original Equipment use on sporty sedans. The SP Sport 7000 A/S is designed to combine low noise, good ride comfort and dependable handling while blending traction on dry and wet roads, as well as in light snow.

The SP Sport 7000 A/S molds an all-season tread compound into an asymmetric design that features independent tread blocks on the outboard shoulder, nearly continuous intermediate and center ribs, and siped independent tread blocks in the inboard shoulder to combine dry road responsiveness with highway stability and low noise. Circumferential grooves and lateral notches help water flow through the tread design to enhance hydroplaning resistance and wet traction. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by Dunlop's Jointless Band (JLB) technology that uses spirally wound polyester or nylon cord (depending on tire size and application) on top of a polyester cord casing to combine high-speed durability with a comfortable ride.

Dunlop Reviews

Feedback suggests challenges balancing performance for the Dunlop SP Sport 7000 A/S. Dry traction earns praise with many 9-10 scores, highlighting confident handling and responsive cornering. Wet traction shows varied experiences-some report adequate grip (7-8 range), but lower scores (2-4) raise concerns about hydroplaning resistance. Comfort receives mixed feedback: while some note smooth rides (7-9), others cite noticeable road noise or harshness (scores as low as 1-2). Treadwear emerges as a key concern, with frequent low ratings (0-5) suggesting durability may fall short of expectations for a high-performance all-season tire. Prioritize dry performance, but consider wet limitations and treadlife tradeoffs.

...Dry traction was great...

68,000 miles on these tires. Came with my 2009 Accord LXP, 4cyl.

- Just bought another set, 68k on these were awesome
- Had no issues with noise as others state, my accord has high wind noise so it doesn't matter
- Had no issues with hydroplaning, handled in terrible rain excellently
- Handled snow in new england with no problems
- Dry traction was great
- Great tires, picked up a 2nd set, to get my accord to 140k
- No cupping issues, I rotate my tires every 10k miles, tires cupping? that means you aren't rotating
- Look at others reviews, MANY are getting 50k+ miles on these tires, that speaks volumes

...Dry performance is more than enough for this kind of car, and totally confident all the time...

These tires came as OE on my '08 Accord. Dry performance is more than enough for this kind of car, and totally confident all the time. Wet performance is a little worse (obviously) but still fine--only when taking corners or accelerating faster than you should do you notice anything different. Snow performance was surprising and people have asked me if I'd gotten snow tires installed, but ice is very dangerous and I haven't driven in deep snow yet. However, surprised that I haven't gotten stuck yet this winter.

...Dry traction is good...

I had these tires on my 2010 Honda fit, less than 17,000 I had already had to replace 2 (very worn), one tire was wearing very uneven and quicker than the others as I have rotated it to the rear and the tread was still wearing very fast.

The other 2 tires have about 20% life left but they all of the rubber on the tread is dry and cracking.

Dry traction is good, wet is good, light snow is good, I got a pair of Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport it seems to be a much better tire (for the summer).

Mixed results for wet traction, with concerning scores between 0-6. Some customers report mediocre wet performance, sliding around, and a tendency to hydroplane despite being an all-season tire. Hydroplaning resistance also shows inconsistent ratings, indicating room for improvement.

...She complained of loss of traction in light snow and wet conditions and this is on an all wheel drive vehicle...

This was O.E. On my wife's Infiniti EX35 and you know it's bad when she gives me the go ahead to spring for new tires with less than 27k on the originals. She complained of loss of traction in light snow and wet conditions and this is on an all wheel drive vehicle. You can feel every pebble you hit, road noise was extreme with a WHOP, WHOP, WHOP that even passengers commented on. Religious rotation and alignment kept the tread wear even but did nothing to prevent the early death of a horrible tire. Sorry to be so harsh, but better me reviewing this tire than my wife!

...Wet traction is below average and driving them in any type of snow is downright scary. The car refuses to pull any hill with even the smallest amout of snow on them...

I'm posting this review again. I previously wrote a review on this tire but I can't seem to find it anywhere. First let me state that I did NOT purchase this tire from Tire Rack. Rather, they came on my Accord and are offered on Tire Rack as OE replacements. I live in Pittsburgh, PA and drive in all 4 seasons and on a mix of highway/City /Rural roads.

These Dunlops are the worst tires I have ever owned. Wet traction is below average and driving them in any type of snow is downright scary. The car refuses to pull any hill with even the smallest amout of snow on them. There were several times last winter when the car became stranded coming to a complete stop. Not only is this dangerous but embarassing. This is unacceptable for any modern tire. These tires are so bad I would not recommend them to any one at any price. Shame on Goodyear for producing such trash! I'll look to Michelin for my next set of tires.

...The first time I felt the back end slip out while cornering in snow, I was concerned. By the third time this happened, I literally double-checked to make sure that we weren't given the RWD version of this car... this tire is really dangerous in the snow...

These came standard on an Infiniti QX50 that we bought just prior to last winter. I grew up driving real and front-wheel drive cars in the snow, so I've been trained well. The first time I felt the back end slip out while cornering carefully in snow, I was concerned. By the third time this happened, I literally double-checked to make sure that we weren't given the RWD version of this car. Then I checked the TR reviews for the tires -- the reviews are spot on: this tire is really dangerous in the snow. They're getting replaced before another winter goes by.

...After 30000 miles, this tire became very loud and was worn to about 6/32. At 41000 miles, these tires were unbearably loud and hard riding ruining the ride of the vehicle...

This tire was the OEM tire for my Nissan Rogue. When new this tire was just a little loud. After 30000 miles, this tire became very loud and was worn to about 6/32. At 41000 miles, these tires were unbearably loud and hard riding ruining the ride of the vehicle and were worn to 4/32 and were also beginning to hydroplane. I rotated them every 7500 miles and they seem to have worn evenly, but for the price, I could not justify buying a set and replaced them with a set of Yokohama Avid Envigors.

...these are the noisiest tires I have ever driven on not to mention it feels like you're driving on 4 bricks...

At 32,500 miles these tires on my son's 2011 Accord SE are in need of a change. Not only because they are close to the wear bars already, but also because they are dry rotting. The sidewalls are clearly showing cracks in them, and this is on a very well maintained car. In addition, these are the noisiest tires I have ever driven on not to mention it feels like you're driving on 4 bricks. They are being replaced this week with a set of Pirelli P7+. Don't buy, there are plenty of better choices out there.

They are good for warm climate, wet conditions are ok, but tread wear is pretty bad. I am switching to Bridgestones newer Potenza G019 Grid because of the 50k tread life warrenty. Bought car in February. First snow was 9 inches, did excellent first time out. Now, when it rains, it hydroplains. Went to have it's first inspection, tire failed at 12,000 miles. Tread wore out on one tire, down on other tires. Was told tires would not make next inspection.
