Most customers rate wet traction between 8-10, highlighting confident grip in wet conditions. Some scores 0-4 indicate isolated concerns, but overall performance aligns well with all-terrain expectations.

These have been the best tires I have ever owned. No hydroplane to speak of. No unintentional or surprise loss of traction. If I did lose traction it was because I was pushing to hard. Never had a real problem in mud, dirt, snow. As long as you are in the proper gear or setup you won't have a problem. And 65 to 70 in 2 inches of snow is awesome although I don't recommend it (Do to others on the road).

...I can cut the back tires loose from a stop on wet pavement a little easier than I would like...
Original equipment. Tires had original tread design. Be careful here as Goodyear has slightly modified the tread since then.
Noise was within reason when they were new, but they get noisier with wear - a lot noisier. This is really their only downfall.
Awesome traction in all of my travels in MN. From deep snow to glazed hard pack, these tires have provided great traction. Their wear is nearly perfect. I can cut the back tires loose from a stop on wet pavement a little easier than I would like. Now I am just waiting for them to actually wear out (again noise).
Even at 85K miles, these tire are still digging in. All four tires do seem to leak some amount of air as well at this age, but no leaks have been found - not even the valve stems. I am assuming then that it may be in the tire bead, but I have never run into something like that before.

...Great traction in all conditions...
Excellent tire. Road noise is really minimal. Great traction in all conditions. Really had a problem in 20" of snow. Tires came with a truck as original equipment. First set of tires last 120000 miles!!!!! No rotation involved. Now I am on second set at 100000 miles. Would buy again if needed.

...I needed to get to the hospital for my ankle in the middle of a blizzard last winter when we got 4 ft inside of 12 hours. It was insane! But I got there AND Back about 40 miles round trip in the worst of whiteout conditions with snow falling at a rate of 6-8 inches an hour...
These came on my new 2015 GMC Sierra and they just crossed 60k along with the truck. First impressions on the new Tires when it was all new was that it rode and was quiet as a Cadillac. 60k Later and it still does. Im not to the wear lines yet but being from upstate central New York I want to replace them before the snow fly's again in a couple months. I do mixed driving Because I live in upstate central new york. Even highway driving can get interesting here in the winter. On the highway and in towing I have had ZERO issues with these tires getting grip or being comfortable on good dry roads and highways EVER. Only in the last couple thousand miles had I noticed a slip or two on wet roads with 60,000 miles on them. I needed to get to the hospital for my ankle in the middle of a blizzard last winter when we got 4 ft inside of 12 hours. It was insane! But I got there AND Back about 40 miles round trip in the worst of whiteout conditions with snow falling at a rate of 6-8 inches an hour. It was straight up nuts. Cars, Trucks Tractor trailers everywhere were all in ditches off the road and stuck in the middle of the road because the snow was so deep they were bottoming out and I crawled through. Last spring we had some major storms come through with severe flash flooding that I had to get through to get a Horse Trailer and re-locate some horses. I against my better judgement drove it through plenty of flooding roadways and in two cases freaking raging rapids going across the road. I got there and with these tires with somewhere between 45-50 thousand miles on them. I read a lot of poor reviews on these tires and I am perplexed at how they can be so all over the place. I can only assume that because you have a vehicle that ----s in bad weather doesn't mean the tires do. I have not one bad thing to say about them as they have performed better than any other tire I have ever had on anything. I would be an idiot to replace them with something else after this.

...Even though I only have a two wheel drive I haven't had to put chains on yet, just last week I went to Snow Valley every auto except 4 wheel drive had to use chains. I bypassed the check point took it slow and had no problems. I was surprised at how well they handled...
Great tires, no problems. Noise not bad at all. Tires wore down evenly. 34000 miles and the depth of the tread is 6.5 . I have a V-8 5.3 silverado. I go camping and skiing every year. Even though I only have a two wheel drive I haven't had to put chains on yet, just last week I went to Snow Valley every auto except 4 wheel drive had to use chains. I bypassed the check point took it slow and had no problems. I would not recommend doing this, but the chains I had did not fit, they we're for my other tires 245-70/17. So I took a chance. I was surprised at how well they handled. Awesome tires.. I'm sure they still have 10 thousand miles left on them . I just bought the trail runner Goodyear 265-70-17. I will rate them after my ski trip toTahoe. In March 2017.

...I live in Northern Minnesota and our winter roads are always iced and snow covered... these tires are one of the best all season tires out there... If you drive city and hiway in a lot of snow, rain or ice this tire will perform great for you
This is the perfect all around tire. I live in Northern Minnesota and our winter roads are always iced and snow covered. I also do a lot of ice fishing and these tires are one of the best all season tires out there with no road noise on the hiway. It's the very best all season tire out there. Yea it won't go through deep mud or sand but the average Joe doesn't drive that either. It's just a good all around tire. If you drive city and hiway in a lot of snow, rain or ice this tire will perform great for you

...On dry is where the tires do good as of my experience as well as on dirt and loose rocks with dirt...
Bought these tires early September of 2019 for my suburban the main reason I went with them was that these were the OE fitment of my vehicle. That aside I have put just shy over 9k miles on them as of February 2020. My experience so far with them have been mixed. They look good on the vehicle not too simple but not too aggressive either but on the vehicle it looks decent. On dry is where the tires do good as of my experience as well as on dirt and loose rocks with dirt. I drive mostly highway but I live in South Texas so it's impossible to not hit some off road areas every now and then. However they do poor on mud mainly I guess because of the thread pattern it cakes up fast and doesn't eject it out quite well that I can deal with since I try to avoid mud as much as possible with this vehicle and these tires but I am disappointed with their wet performance. When it rains I need to be extra careful with these tires as they tend to slide a lot easier when braking as well as when taking off from a complete stop I don't have these type of problems with the tires that I have on my two other vehicles which are Cooper AT3s 4S and Falken Wildpeak A/T AT3W. What I do really like so far is that it is wearing beautifully all 4 of them and so far no chips or cuts on them either. Despite this I will probably not buy again mostly because of the wet performance other than that they are good tires.

Most customers rate comfort highly with scores 7-10, praising smooth ride quality and reduced noise levels. High marks indicate excellent on-road performance for an all-terrain tire.

I can say without hesitation that this is the smoothest riding tire I've ever had on this vehicle... For the price and comfort you can't go wrong.
I bought this tire because it is a TPC spec tire for my GM truck. I wanted to get back to a baseline with ride/noise so I wanted a GM TPC spec tire. I can say without hesitation that this is the smoothest riding tire I've ever had on this vehicle. GM dealers have mandatory purchase high end pre-calibrated Hunter Road Force balancers. Maybe that is why its so smooth. I have had luck with this tire in mud (hunting) and light snow. For the price and comfort you can't go wrong.

...On the highway the tire is a beast, very quiet, a pleasure to drive through rain storms, ice storms, snow storms...
The AT/S Wrangler was the standard tire on the 2001 Z71. Just bought my third set at 225,000 miles. Would have waited a few months more but one was taken out by a 5/8 inch thick bolt on I-95. The set that came with the vehicle lasted 85,000 miles. The second set only lasted 60,000 miles, this latest set would have gone further with usable tread at 80,000, but with one destroyed it was time for a new set. This past winter with over 70,000 miles and about 6/32 of wear left had no problems making my way around after 2+ feet of snow fell during our snowmaggedon in Maryland. Would not have ventured out but to rescue my daughter that was stuck in the storm. Lots of other vehicles 4 wheel drive and otherwise did not fare as well. I also do a bit of off roading and have buried the Z71 to the frame in frozen slush, mud and muck without a problem. Still cleaning out chunks of dried and hardened mud from various frame members from last winter's hunt. Great in snow, great off road in mud and muck and driving on the beach (off road permit required). On the highway the tire is a beast, very quiet, a pleasure to drive through rain storms, ice storms, snow storms. Three years ago drove almost 800 miles through and with an ice storm tracking east coming back from a hunt. The ice on the front of the Z71 was almost two inches thick by the time we arrived back home Dry weather handling is great, the Z71 handles like a sports car taking corners. (I know of what I speak, my other vehicle is a BMW Z3) I drive as fast as is allowed and this tire handles highway speeds nicely. I am buying a new truck and the Z71 with the new AT/S tires will be driven by my son. I will be putting a set of AT/S tires on the new truck and selling the new tires that come as standard. That's how much I like these tires. For your truck or large SUV this tire will handle all situations, I mean all situations, from hi speed highway to deep off road mud and all weather. Bottom line great tire

...They are quieter than ones I have had before, and they drive wonderfully...
These have been great performing tires over the last few years and I am ready to buy a new set now for my Tahoe. They are quieter than ones I have had before, and they drive wonderfully. They are a little rough in heavy rain going fast on the highways, but I have found this to be an issue on all cars and tires I have owned.

...The first set got 117,000 miles... Then I bought a second set 129,000 miles!...
I am crazy over this tire! The first set got 117,000 miles. My mechanic said they were noted for cupping so to be sure to rotate faithfully. I did first set 117,000 miles all highway driving. 120 miles round trip to work a day. Then I bought a second set 129,000 miles! faithfully rotated like a crazy woman. I worked in a service department and saw the same tires people were only getting 30,000 to 50,000 but it was because they didn't rotate or they drove gravel and it eats any tires up. So there you go, I'm back checking prices because I am ready for my 3rd set of tires..... and that is the only tire I will buy!
