Wet traction receives strong ratings, with many customers scoring 8-10. The Eagle GT II delivers confident handling in wet conditions, meeting expectations for a high-performance all-season tire. Some variability in extreme rain, but overall performance is reliable.

...They provide exceptional handling and solid traction on both wet and dry roads...
Based on my driving habits, this tire has performed very well. I only have 8700 miles on them so Ive not noticed any tire wear. They provide exceptional handling and solid traction on both wet and dry roads. The ride is also smooth.
However, the size and weight of the wheels themselves (20 inch chrome) have noticeably reduced the overall fuel mileage.

...They are great in the rain and decent in light snow...
I purchased the pickup late October 2011 these are the tires that came on it from factory and they have been great, figured like most trucks I've owned over the years that I would be getting new tires about 30000 but not with these, there is about 35 percent tread left. They are great in the rain and decent in light snow. I drive 25 miles to work all on pavement with 12 miles of that on interstate. I would buy the same tires when it comes time too.

Most customers rate dry traction 9s and 10s, highlighting responsive handling and reliable grip in dry conditions. While occasional lower scores exist, the Eagle GT II excels as a high-performance all-season tire.

I drive my Saab HARD! ... I bought these when I bought the car in New Hampshire, and drove down I-95, onto the NJ turnpike, and back to Indiana on I-70 on these at speeds in excess of 125mph...People were passed on the shoulders of the road without me flinching because I knew these tires could hold their own...

Snow and ice havent been a problem at all even though the tread doesnt look like it would do that well, it does. No sliding at all, unless you want to and in the rain it stays on the road and does very well.
To top it all off, it looks good too.

CS, these tires grab the road and do what you tell them to do at the wheel. Id recomend them for anyone who likes spirited driving.

Most customers rate comfort highly, with ride quality scoring 8-10 and noise levels 7-10. Smooth handling and reduced road noise enhance all-season driving. Some note occasional firmness, but overall feedback praises refined, comfortable performance.

...I soon relaized that for the price you couldnt beat the ride comfort and road noise that you get...
When I acquired the Eagle GTII to replace factory tires in my 2WD Durango it was also because they looked nice the 20" rims. I soon relaized that for the price you couldnt beat the ride comfort and road noise that you get. I also felt felt that the wear was average on the 2 front tires and great on the 2 back tires. I think for the money these tires are probably the best you will get without having to sacrifice to much, but when i do upgrade my tires I will probably spend a little more to get a better quality tire and see if it is worth the money. As far as rain the tires do fairly well as long as you drive with some caution as anyone should regardless of the type of tire. Light snow is okay, when the the tires have less than 20K miles after that you will feel them spend more and loose more grip with the road. If you live in a heavy snow area then these tires would not be right for you. On Drive pavement these tires are great the road noise does increase as you pick up faster speed limits.

...Ride is very good, mileage has been very good...
These are the OEM tires from Dodge for the INDY RAM and SS/T trucks. While I have heard some bad things from other owners about these tires, they have never given me a problem. Ride is very good, mileage has been very good. For the price, hard to beat.

...The ride/noise is comfortable and the response/cornering/traction is 8 out of 10...
Overall the GT II a good tire. Ive owned many Goodyears over the years and I can definately say theyve never given me any trouble (well except mabye tread wear - I can only get about 40K - 50K out of them and thats with good tire maintenance). Also Goodyears are priced much higher than their competitors. Anyway these Eagle GT IIs look as good as they work. The ride/noise is comfortable and the response/cornering/traction is 8 out of 10. Again my only two complaints are price and tread wear, but overall a good tire!

Most customers rate treadwear highly, with 9s and 10s showcasing excellent longevity. While some scores dip to 0-6, the majority praise consistent wear resistance, ideal for all-season durability.

This is the second set of these that Ive owned and Im about to get my third. Outstanding tread life ( over 75,000 miles so far), with 3/32 left.
This is the second set of these that Ive owned and Im about to get my third. Outstanding tread life (over 75,000 miles so far), with 3/32 left. Wet traction could be a little bit better, they sometimes squeal on dry roads but they are extremely hard to beat for the mileage you get out of them and price you have to pay.

I have 73000 miles on these and the were brand new installed on it when I purchases the truck used with 47K on it in 2009. Its now 2018, I have almost 131000 on my Tundra, and I run the tires at 45psi mounted on Custom BBS rims it came with and pull a heavy 6x12 single axle utility trailer on 250 to 400 mile round trips frequently.
Love these tires and Am shopping for my next pair now!

Winter traction is disappointing, with many scores between 0-5. Customers report slippery conditions on ice and snow, unstable handling, and getting stuck. Some 7s and 8s exist, but lack of winter performance is a common concern.

...In in snow just make sure you have a tow truck's number handy, I got stuck so many times I just about slashed my own tires!...
I would not recomend these tires to anyone that expects to get around without issues in all the various driving conditions that I've experienced in the Kansas City area. In dry, lateral acceleration they'd grip decently but when cornering because of their weak sidewall they'd let loose WAY too easily and give you no confidence. In wet they like to hydroplane and lateral acceleration flat ----s. In snow just make sure you have a tow truck's number handy, I got stuck so many times I just about slashed my own tires! I bought Cooper Cobra Radial GT's to replace these and fell in love with them. But they dont have them on tire rack or I'd write a review on them as well.

...In the snow I couldn't get going...My tires would just spin and kick up snow...
I got these tires when I got a set of rims. In the snow I couldn't get going....My tires would just spin and kick up snow. It's probably just cause I drive a Blazer but it rolled with every corner (Blazers are notoriouse for this) Fairly good wet traction. If your looking for tires to smoke these thing dump out smoke. Huge dark clouds during burnouts and doughnuts. My tires didnt last a year. I put maybe 10k miles and i have 2 tires which are flat, theres absoulutly no tread left and 2 that have like maybe 10% life left. I had to put on my stock rims and tires and they seemed to improve the ride (stocks are 235/60/15 the gt II are 255/60/17)

...Plus they have almost no traction in rain. I spun out going around a corner cause they could not get any grip on the road surface due to rain
These tires came on my rims purchased from FORD. I didnt know what they were putting on when i got the rims but went with them and i haft to say these are the poorest made tires ever. I had on that devlopped a impact bubble and they all looked really bad worren so i took it to the shop FORD got the rims and tires from. The shop owner told me that this tires are only going to last 10,000 to 15,000 miles at over a $120 a peice they aint worth it. Plus they have almost to traction in rain. I spun out going around a corner cause they could not get any grip on the road surface due to rain
