The PARADA Spec-X is Yokohama Tire's Street/Sport Truck All-Season radial developed for performance pickups and SUVs, as well as modern muscle cars like the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger and Dodge Magnum. The PARADA Spec-X is designed to combine impressive looks and confident handling with year-round traction in North America's wide range of weather conditions, including in light snow.

The PARADA Spec-X radial's all-season tread compound is molded into an aggressive directional tread design that features linked shoulder blocks, variably sized intermediate tread blocks and two continuous center ribs to combine acceleration, braking and cornering competence with a comfortable ride. A wide circumferential center groove and sweeping lateral grooves provide water evacuation to resist hydroplaning and increase wet traction. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by spirally wrapped nylon to provide strength, uniformity and durability on top of a polyester cord body that enhances ride quality.

...For a heavy SUV, they provided incredible wet traction and much more stability in cornering. They always feel planted, whereas the RS-As always felt like they were slipping in hard cornering...

Purchase set for Saab 97-X Aero (6.0L V8) AWD. Drive combination of City/Highway and occassion pull a trailer. Could feel an immediate difference from factory Goodyear RS-A 255/50/20. Moved up to the Yoko Prada Spec-X 265/50 for better footprint and wet traction. For a heavy SUV, they provided incredible wet traction and much more stability in cornering. They always feel planted, whereas the RS-As always felt like they were slipping in hard cornering. After 24K very "spirited" miles, the fronts were wearing thin (I'm guessing they had another couple thousand to go before they had to be replaced). However, the rears still had half their tread. With a tread rating of 420, I expected to do no better than 24K miles, so I'm pleased with the wear so far. Despite the worn fronts, I never felt like they lost any ability. I purchased new set for fronts.

...Very smooth right out of the gate, and handle well in the often wet and hot Florida climate... Quiet and smooth on the highway, and have handled wet roads / puddles well also...

Great tire. Big improvement from the Generals that were on this certified used Lexus RX350. Very smooth right out of the gate, and handle well in the often wet and hot Florida climate. So far very pleased with these tires.

The tread design seems to attract a lot of pebbles and small stones so I am always checking them out to be sure it's not a nail or something. The dealer was insisting that customers rave about the (OE) Michelin Energy MXV4 and the Good Year Eagle RSA's - but that is not the case if you look at reviews for these tires on this vehicle on Tire Rack - and costs at Lexus dealer for complete installation were about $999 and $899 respectively - so I opted for the very well reviewed Yokohama Prada Spec-X. So far I have not been disappointed at all. Quiet and smooth on the highway, and have handled wet roads / puddles well also.

My only skepticism with this tire was that it did not come with a tread life warranty - but again reviews suggest not a problem. I will report back after more mileage to assess tread wear. But for the price - great deal. Highly recommend this tire. Also - recommended installer in my area was great - saved me almost $100 over another installer (not TR recommended).

...the Yoko's are wonderful in wet driving at high speed...

Well, so far so good. I just purchased a 2012 300 SRT8 and the car came with crappy goodyear F1 super car tires which I will never put back on the car , the Yoko's are wonderful in wet driving at high speed , they are great on the dry top as well , no noise . I purchased them because of the high rating for snow driving so I will post again after March .Great buy

...You can't even turn onto a street at 3 mph in snow... The ride is remarkably smoother, quieter, and snow traction is astonishing... I can even turn in snow at relatively quick speed without losing traction...

I've been anxious to write this review and a very candid one. It's true, the OEM Goodyear RSAs are dangerous on wet grounds/snow. You can't even turn onto a street at 3 mph in snow. When I first bought my Infiniti, I thought I made a big mistake. The selective AWD did nothing, even in light snow. You will change your mind after the Yokes. The ride is remarkably smoother, quieter, and snow traction is astonishing. I also own a BMW xi sedan and I thought that was the gold standard in snow. My Infiniti drives equally. I never thought tires could make that much of a difference. Just so you know, I'm a very aggressive driver and always feel like I'm in a rush. I also have to go at least 45mph in heavy snow and these tires allow be to weave between lanes at 50mph without problems. I can even turn in snow at relatively quick speed without losing traction. Of course, my BMW is slightly better on turns, but that's because it's a sedan vs a SUV. However, I do have to say that handling on turns don't feel as stable and the response on acceleration is a bit delayed compared to the Goodyears. However, that is minor compared to the improvements mentioned above. I now respect my infiniti for its performance, but I do have to criticize inifiniti for having such dangerous and subperforming OEM tires. Up until now, I've been telling people not to purchase an Infiniti. I can't comment on treadwear yet, but I promise you will experience a difference from the Goodyears.

I used these tires to replace goodyear eagle GT IIs... before, I would drive in the occasional snow and tons of rain, just like Missouri has. They would spin like mad, make tons of noise all the time, and just generally bad. Ive since replaced them with the new Parada Spec x when I put a 5/7 drop on my truck, and I wish I would have done this a long time ago. Excellent traction, wear, and response. I have also installed a rear anti sway bar, and with these tires I feel like im driving my Mustang again! Excellent... will never switch to another tire!

...Dry traction is good and not loose...

Good responsive tire. Lost a little MPG compared to the OEM MIchelin. Had some snow and ice this past winter. The tire seemed to do okay. Waiting for larger amount of snow this winter. Does well in the rain. Dry traction is good and not loose. Happy with this tire thus far and much cheaper than the Michelin.

...The dry traction is about the same...

These tires replaced the OE Pirelli Scorpion P-Zero's. I was never happy with the OE tires performance in the wet and snow. The choices for this vehicle size are limited. After much research I chose the Yok Parada X-Spec. This tire has been completely superior to the OE tire. The dry traction is about the same and wet is improved. The snow performance is outstanding for the type of tire. I actually have confidence to drive this in the winter. The tires have about 15,000 miles and wear isn't really even noticeable. At this rate I expect to get 50,000 to 70,000 with out issue. The best improvement made to this vehicle. I love them.

...Dry and wet traction are excellent, noise and ride comfort also...

Replaced a worn out set of Bridgestones with these Yokahama avids two years ago. The Trailblazer SS AWD is my daily driver and toy hauler. Spirited back road driving, Two trips from RI to FL [towing a boat] multiple trips to tracks towing a motorcycle trailer and occasional dirt road and beach use have given them a good test.
Dry and wet traction are excellent, noise and ride comfort also. Wear is very good at 20000 miles, I have at least one more FL round trip left in them. These tires and this truck are great on the road and will suffice for dirt or packed sand but you should understand they are not meant for off-road use. Decent in snow too. All in all, I'm happy with them and would buy them again.

This is my second set. They handle great, and my most important feature ride comfort and moise is great on these tires. My only negative is the treadwear is not very good. Bought these last tires exactly 2 years ago and will probably need to replace these in the next couple of months before the tread is gone.

...The yokohoma spec-X are extremely quiet and the handling is excellent. They help my big 7000 pound vehicle feel like a smaller sport SUV...

I bought these tires with an upgrade from 17 to 20 inch wheels. The orignal goodyears were LOUD. They were a little softer ride, probably due the the sixe of the tire, but LOUD. The yokohoma spec-X are extremely quiet and the handling is excellent. They help my big 7000 pound vehicle feel like a smaller sport SUV. The wet traction is wonderful and I cannot even tell it is raining outside. Other tires with deeper tread have hydroplaned on me these have not even in severe gully washers driving 70 mph down the interstate. I buy a lot of tires and change vehicles regularly and these would have to be some of the best tires I have ever owned. Would recommend highly.

...My first set was on my 2011 Q5 3.2 and they had 13,200 miles (21,000 km) when I traded the vehicle in. The tread depth was only down 2/32's (from 11/32 to 9/32) which I believe is very good wear (likely 40,000+ miles by 5/32 tread depth)...

Just purchased a new set for my 2015 Q5 TDI. My first set was on my 2011 Q5 3.2 and they had 13,200 miles (21,000 km) when I traded the vehicle in. The tread depth was only down 2/32's (from 11/32 to 9/32) which I believe is very good wear (likely 40,000+ miles by 5/32 tread depth). My new Q came with Michelin Latitude Sport (summer only) and while I use dedicated winters, I find these Prada's to be an excellent replacement tire that is better suited for my Feb drive to Florida and the often iffy weather through the Poconos. I find the steering/road feel to be very precise and responsive. I also noticed a bump in fuel economy which was a pleasant surprise. Tires are quieter (much less road noise) than the Michelin Latitude Sport (2015 Q5) and the Dunlop Dueler H/P that were OEM on my 2011 Q5. Highly recommend, especially when one considers the price difference to other comparable tires (e.g. Conti DWS).

The Parada Spec X's continue to impress and provide a very reassuring ride in both wet and dry conditions. Cornering is excellent as is stopping. The tire is very quiet and far superior to the Goodyear's that came on the vehicle. I heartily endorse the tire and loof forward to many miles and months of service.
