Highway All-Season tires are for drivers who want a combination of pleasant on-road characteristics, long wear and all-season versatility, including traction in light snow. Highway All-Season tires branded with the M+S symbol are often used as Original Equipment (O.E.) on 2WD and 4WD, light- and medium-duty vans, trucks and pickups, as well as crossover and sport utility vehicles.

O.E. Highway All-Season tires are typically purchased as direct replacements for worn-out pairs/sets of the vehicle's original tires. They can also be used for other vehicle applications in complete sets of four or axle pairs if available in an appropriate size, load range and speed rating to match the existing O.E. tires' performance category and specifications.

Bridgestone Reviews

Feedback patterns show the Bridgestone Dueler H/T D840 delivers strong treadwear (with scores 8-10 common) and a comfortable, quiet ride, aligning well with its highway all-season focus. Winter traction scores reveal significant concerns (frequent 0-4 ratings), making it less reliable in severe cold or icy conditions. Wet traction earns mostly 7-8 ratings for decent grip and hydroplaning resistance, though a few reports note reduced confidence in heavy rain. Dry traction consistently impresses (7-10 range) with stable handling and responsive steering. While it excels in everyday highway use, its limited winter capability suggests prioritizing seasonal alternatives for drivers in snowy climates.

Much better than expected. Based on the ratings here, I was surprised at how this tire performed. It is great on normal everyday conditions, especially in comfort and noise. Driving through a storm put the tires to the test in wet conditions, and they performed better than my expectations. During the trip, I felt no trace of anything near to hydroplaning. I felt safe driving at normal highway speeds (except for visibility of course). It is decent in snowy and icy conditions (no complaints). What surprised me the most was treadwear. I expected it to be gone after 20000 miles. After looking at the remaining tread after 10000, it looks like the tires will last at least another 20000 - 30000 miles! I will definitely consider buying this again.

I have found it to give very good wet traction and good overall handling...

I am surprized at the negative reviews of this tire. I have found it to give very good wet traction and good overall handling. This last winter I drove to work 15 miles in 20+ inches of snow with these tires with no problem. I stayed at 30 mph and under because it was hard to be sure where the road was but could have pushed it much faster. Part of it is the weight balance of the Tundra Double cab I suppose--it doesnt need weight in the bed to get good traction--but I cant complain about the performance of these tires. They are definately not off-road tires but for their intended purpose they do very well. I have 34000 approx on them and expect to get 50000. I do intend to replace them with bridgestone a/t Revo tires when needed but they do match or beat any similar tire I have ever had.

I drive hard rain or dry and I live outside the city in the country but work in the city... I drive this SUV pretty fast through the turns and have found these tires very forgiving and predictable at the limits... they still do not hydroplane at 100+ MPH in the rain!...

I have to say I do not understand the negative reviews? I drive pretty hard in this 300hp 06 V8 4 Runner w/XR suspension and this is the first SUV I have ever owned. I have several years of racing in my life and have always driven Porsches mainly and some BMWs and Im really impressed with this vehicle and the tires on it! I drive hard rain or dry and I live outside the city in the country but work in the city. I drive this SUV pretty fast through the turns and have found these tires very forgiving and predictable at the limits. I usually dont get much more than 15,000 miles from tires but these are doing fine at 26,000 and they still do not hydroplane at 100+ MPH in the rain! I would be afraid honestly to try another tire, the roads are really ruff out by my place and these tires can take it all. Im very cautious about what I put my family in and let them drive and I just trust these tires. I do tow a boat now and then and go off road just a little bit which is the reason I chose the 4 runner over the X5, these tires help make the comprimise work for the whole family just like the 4 runner does. As for the boy in Texas I would suggest a driving school, sounds like he might be better off with a more forgiving full time 4WD vehicle?

They definately are not the snow king but they dont make a lot of noise either, just rotate them every 5000 miles and run tire pressure for your load and driving style. I run them at 37 PSI and 32 in snow but we are hardly ever in the snow.

...Only in very special conditions can I make it raise eyebrows - if I take this one turn on a freeway merge that is a DESCENDING DECREASING RADIUS TURN at just slightly above the posted legal speed limit, the tires will give an audible squeal all the way round the roundabout... But they have never lost traction, even when I have intentionally tried to set-off my Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) functions...

this Bridgestone Dueller HT D840 is the OEM tire on a 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser. It's a highway tire, not a "cool offroad tire" so many guys immediately pull these tire off and swap them out for an aggressive tread pattern and worse-MPG offroad tire. I kept mine on, because my SUV is honestly more grocery-getter and around town commuter.

This is a mature review based on 40,000 miles of service over a 2/3 year period. I live in a primarily dry south western US climate. we get less than 16 inches of rain a year. I do get to the mountains and drive in "very light" snow conditions if I go snowboarding. But generally these tires have been pampered and regularly inspected and rotated and kept properly inflated. I expect to get about 50K miles out them, MAYBE 60K if wanted to live dangerously. But I am shopping for new tires, that's why I'm on this review site.

The tire has performed admirably for it's light-duty role. Only in very special conditions can I make it raise eyebrows - if I take this one turn on a freeway merge that is a DESCENDING DECREASING RADIUS TURN at just slightly above the posted legal speed limit, the tires will give an audible squeal all the way round the roundabout (don't try this on your own folks, I'm a privateer/track racer). But they have never lost traction, even when I have intentionally tried to set-off my Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) functions.

I'm going to do some 4WD offroad driving in my next 50K miles of this car before I sell it, so I'll buy offroad tire next - BUT if I wanted a high-mileage highway tire I'd buy this same set again.

Came as original equipment but absolutely no complaints so far. Tires are quiet and hold tire pressure surprisingly well; they have provided good traction and handling; and performed acceptably on 1600 mile road trip to include heavy rain and steep mountain roads. Waiting to see how they perform when worn and how long they last with 5000 mile rotations and maintaining OEM tire pressure. Plan on replacing with supposed higher end/larger diameter tires when worn to see if there are any performance differences.

...Tires are quiet and comfortable, as well as wear evenly...

OE tires on my FJ Cruiser, purchased in March 2008. Tires are fantastic for wear, with 53,000 miles on them and only about half of the tread life used. Tires are quiet and comfortable, as well as wear evenly.

My only complaint with the tire is that they are average or slightly below other tires I have experienced in the snow - probably a 4/10. If I lived somewhere warmer, I would absolutely get these again, but too much snow here and feel the Continental LX20 is a better fit for me in Wisconsin.

...I know have over 59,000 miles and still quite comfortable with the handeling and ride.

Iam a photographer in the Northern Virginia area, i drive alot ( 58,000 miles in 12 mounths) over a Three state are and I have to say that the Bridge Stone P265/65/R17 110S Has been an excellant tire.

I drive Manly Highway miles and have had no prombles with them at all.

The reason for the letter is that i was getting ready to order 4 more ( I live in the Shenandoah mountain area) and winter is almost here. If i didnt drive so much I most likly would not order another set till spring. The satae of virgina requiers each automobile owner to have there automobile inspected each and ever year ... I just had mine done at 46,000 miles and was told by the inspector that the tires had at least another 30,000+ miles left on them, I know have over 59,000 miles and still quite comfortable with the handeling and ride.

These tires came on my Lexus GX460 and I'll admit that I was disappointed that it didn't come with Michelins. I still think the Michelin looks much better, but the performance of the Bridgestone has been very good. The ride is smooth and comfortable. The noise level is a bit more than I would prefer. Overall the OE tire Bridgestone is an acceptable tire with good performance.

I am over 66,000 miles on the original tires that came with my 2005 4Runner. I have rotated the tires every 5,000 miles. Will probably replace the tires by this winter. I have been impressed with the tread wear and quality. Plan to purchase the same tires since I have the Extended Mileage Warranty on the tires. Would not hesitate to purchase the same tire if I was not reimbursed. Only reason I would consider another tires is to give the vehicle a more rugged look.

Bought vehicle in 2011. Dealer had new Dueller H/T D840 tires installed. It's now 2015 and in 4 years I've got 60,000+ miles on these tires and about half the tread still left. I will begin by saying these aren't bad tires. However, they don't belong on a 4WD truck. They do pretty well in most areas of dry/on-road operation. The tires are very quiet and the ride is excellent. Basically, they have all the makings of a good CAR tire. Do not take these tires off road or in any kind of snow/ice, unless you enjoy getting stuck. During a recent snow storm in which we had over 12" of snow, despite having 4WD, I got stuck in my driveway. It took a few times of "rockin' it" just to get out. If you live in a climate where it never rains or snows, these tires are pretty good. However, if you live in a climate where you get snow on a regular basis, definitely don't buy these tires.
