The Transforce HT w/UNI-T is Firestone's Commercial Highway All-Season tire developed to combine comfort with light truck tire capability for sport utility vehicle, pickup, van and commercial vehicle drivers. The Transforce HT is designed primarily for on-road use by providing predictable handling and year-round traction on dry and wet roads, as well as in light snow.

On the outside, Transforce HT radials feature an all-season Long Link Carbon tread compound molded into a symmetric tread design that uses notched shoulders, independent intermediate tread blocks and a continuous center rib to blend handling, foul weather traction and straight line tracking. Wide circumferential grooves provide hydroplaning resistance while lateral grooves and multiple sipes provide the biting edges needed to enhance light snow traction. On the inside, twin steel belts reinforced by spiral-wrapped nylon help maintain the tire's shape to enhance performance at highway speeds while a polyester cord body enhances ride quality.

Firestone Reviews

User feedback reveals the Firestone Transforce HT excels in treadwear and comfort, with many customers reporting excellent tread life (scores 9-10) and a smooth, quiet ride (scores 8-10). Dry traction and cornering stability earn strong marks (7-10 range), with drivers praising confident handling on highways. Wet performance shows variability, with hydroplaning resistance rated 7-10 but some lower scores (5-6) in heavy rain. Winter traction receives mixed feedback, with scores dipping to 0-4 in icy conditions, highlighting limitations for severe winter use. While most appreciate its all-season versatility, a subset notes reduced snow/ice capability compared to dedicated winter tires, aligning with its highway-focused design.

...On the highway the tires are great smooth ride, not much road noise, and so far seem to hold their own on wet surfaces snow and ice.

I have a Nissan 2012 NV 2500 HD so these Firestone TransForce HT tires came with my vehicle. I have 13,400 miles on them over a 4yr period tires still look new, I carry about 2500 hundred pounds of weight in the vehicle since I got the vehicle. I use the vehicle for my business carpet cleaning equipment. On the highway the tires are great smooth ride, not much road noise, and so far seem to hold their own on wet surfaces snow and ice. Haven't had much experience with them off-road cos vehicle just too heavy to do that. Have notice that on some back road that are not well taken care of, can be a little bumpy noisy and rough, but I attribute that more so to bad road. Overall can't really complain I would give these tires 3 stars out of 5. Have read other reviews and am a little perplexed cos seems to be 60 percent bad reviews and about 40 percent good reviews. I must be in that 40 percent good review group. I must say I am an easy going driver, and keep tires inflated at 80 psi back two tires and rotate and balance them every 6000 miles. Maybe that's the difference good maintenance. From what I can see these tires should go 40,000 or 50,000 miles pretty easy, but at the rate I'm traveling per yr may not get there for another 8yrs, and a lot can happen between now and then. Over-all good tire so far, hope this has been helpful.

I noticed a big improvement over my previous tires in wet and dry traction...

I noticed a big improvement over my previous tires in wet and dry traction. What I like best about these tires, is the stability and handling when hauling my 35 foot travel trailer. They are also very quiet! I am very pleased at their on pavement performance. This will come as no surprise but their off road capability isn't great, but then again they are rated for the highway (HT) and not all terrain (AT). I would recommend these tires for those who need an E load rated tire that plan to load them fairly heavy. These are a good tire for the money. I will buy these again when I need tires, but by looking at the tread, it looks that will be a while.

This tire provides good traction on dry and wet roads... Noise level is very good even as the tire has worn as well as the traction in dry and wet conditions...

This tire provides good traction on dry and wet roads. It's fairly well mannered and long wearing however the first 30% of the tread depth wore quicker than expected.Seems like the wear is slowing down as the tire ages (if that's even possible). Noise level is very good even as the tire has worn as well as the traction in dry and wet conditions. The only complaint has been the cornering and general road feel. The tire does seem to wander a little especially on uneven and crowned road surfaces and this was especially noticed when the tire was new. I've either gotten used to it or its not as bad now with 40,000+ miles. I will replace these in approximately 5 to 10 thousand more miles so they should easily go 50 to 55 thousand and still be legal. I'm satisfied with the tire for quality, handling, and price. Will consider buying again.

...They are very good tires in the rain and on both dry roads and on dirt roads...

I put these on as a replacement for a set of Michelins ,big mistake these tires are noisy, and on the rear of a 2002 Dodge 2500 2x4 Turbo Diesel the rears wore very fast and it's time to find a replacement for the rear tires after 2 1/2 years of ownership. They are very good tires in the rain and on both dry roads and dirt roads but againI can hear them over my Cummins.

...They actually ride better at 35psi inflation pressure than the original Michlien P240-70-R16 tires, and are some of the quietest tires I have ever owned...

It may seem odd to put LT tires on a Kia Sorento, but I pull a trailer that weighs 4500# and wanted the better stability from the heavier sidewalls on the LT tires. I have been very impressed with these tires. They actually ride better at 35psi inflation pressure than the original Michlien P240-70-R16 tires, and are some of the quietest tires I have ever owned.

I have only pulled my trailer once since putting on these tires, but the handling was much better with the LT tires.

At 3000 miles some of the mold marks are still visible on the tread, and I believe I will get at least 60,000 miles on these tires, while I only got 40,000 miles on the original Michlien tires, but I changed them before reaching the wear bars mostly because of trailer towing and their poor wet traction since we don't get a lot of snow & ice in the DFW area of North Texas.

I would definitely reccomend these tires to anyone that uses a SUV for trailer towing, and wants a smooth quiet ride all the time. I do increase the tire pressure to 60psi rear and 45psi front when towing my trailer.

I just replaced my Michelin LTX/Load E with the fstone, and cannot believe how smooth the new tires ride! ... on the highway, you cannot go wrong with this tire! Also, the tread looks a little more agressive than other highway all-season tires, so at least it still looks like a truck tire, but does not have the noise of an AT tire.

I just replaced my Michelin LTX/Load E with the fstone, and cannot believe how smooth the new tires ride! I have dedicated snow tires, so do not need snow/ice traction, but on the highway, you cannot go wrong with this tire! Also, the tread looks a little more agressive than other "highway" all-season tires, so at least it still looks like a "truck tire", but does not have the noise of an AT tire.

I drive a Chevy Express 2500 gasoline cargo van, mostly highway, hauling up to 2700 pounds, in all 48 continental states, in all weather. I do avoid heavy snow and ice, but usual winter weather is not a problem. Have 120,000 miles on tires and probably 10K-20K treadwear left. Have always used these tires on three vans over 10 years, will keep doing so.

This is my third set. The first was on it when I bought my van. I put 95,000 miles on that set, so I was sold. Second set went 137,000 miles and still had tread, but replaced anyway. (I'm sure I could have gotten 150,000 ). Current set has 18,000 and still at 11/32. I drive van expedite, so mostly Highway, but have driven every road type, and every weather condition. In 250,000 miles on this vehicle, I have never had an alignment or changed any front suspension parts. I do rotate every 10,000 miles. Never had so much as a low tire pressure much less a flat.

These show M&S on the side wall. Nothing could be further from the truth. I had to have my pick-up in 4 wheel drive to move in 2 inches of snow. On shallow muddy trails they lost traction and would not hold in place but started sliding backwards. Not fun when heading for a drop-off.

These tires came on the vehicle when purchased new. I didn't hear anything about the performance on this tire prior to this experience. I would have to say that these tires have as much traction as a fish hook in water since they scream when the garage door opens to a half inch of snow. The only good thing about them is that they hold my Ram off the ground. It should be a crime to send vehicles out of the factory on this tire. I'm still looking at different tires to purchase, ones that have good to excellent snow/ice traction but not burn up over the summer pulling a camper.
