The Latitude Alpin HP ZP is Michelin's Performance Winter / Snow run-flat tire originally developed for BMW xDrive Sport Activity Vehicles. The Latitude Alpin HP ZP offers temporary extended mobility (up to 50 miles at 50 mph) in the event a puncture results in complete tire pressure loss. Latitude Alpin HP ZP tires were designed to provide traction in dry, wet and wintry conditions.
The Latitude Alpin HP ZP features a tread rubber compound that remains flexible at lower temperatures for greater grip and better handling in cold temperatures and in snow. This compound is molded into a subtle, directional tread design that features rounded shoulders to provide predictable handling while maintaining good traction on dry, wet and slush-covered roads. Circumferential bridges between the independent tread blocks further enhance dry road handling while lateral grooves and high density sipes increase braking and control on slippery roads. The tire's structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by Michelin's spirally wrapped nylon Banded At Zero (BAZ) to optimize handling and durability. Sidewall reinforcement using low hysteresis rubber provides self-supporting strength at zero pressure, helps combat sidewall damage and maintains cooler temperatures during zero pressure driving while a special bead design helps secure the tires on conventional rims.
Latitude Alpin HP ZP winter / snow tires meet the industry's severe snow service requirements and are branded with the snowflake-on-the-mountain symbol.
Install Latitude Alpin HP ZP tires in sets of four only.
Vehicles should always be equipped with equivalent tires at all wheel positions. These winter / snow tires, due to their exceptional snow and ice traction provided by their unique tread compounds, must be used in sets of four to help ensure proper vehicle control.
