P Zero Trofeo(Streetable Track & Competition)
Sidewall Style: Blackwall
The P Zero Trofeo (Italian for Trophy) is Pirelli’s Streetable Track & Competition tire developed for Lotus Exige Cup cars. Based on over 100 years of Pirelli racing experience, the P Zero Trofeo is designed as a track-focused, dual-purpose tire that provides the ability to win trophies on-track, as well as be driven on the road to and from the track. P Zero Trofeo tires are not intended to be driven at high speeds in wet conditions where there is the risk of hydroplaning in standing water, nor in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.
P Zero Trofeo tires feature a semi-slick, low void ratio outboard tread design for maximum stiffness and cornering grip while the inboard design increases footprint dimensions for improved traction and braking. Circumferential grooves provide water drainage to help preserve wet traction. The P Zero Trofeo features a wide profile geometry designed to increase rubber-to-road contact to generate higher grip when accelerating, braking and cornering. Its internal structure features a new belt design and undertread materials to optimize footprint pressure and increase stability while restricting tire growth at high speed from centrifugal forces. Bead geometry and materials improve fit between the tire and rim to increase bead and sidewall stability.
Beginning with a molded tread depth of 6/32" to 7/32", P Zero Trofeo tires will not require shaving for competition, however they will benefit from heat cycling before competition to enhance wear and promote more consistent performance.
Caution: P Zero Trofeo tires are not recommended for high-speed driving on extremely wet roads/tracks with standing water where there is the risk of hydroplaning. This is especially true of shaved or worn tires. Drivers should drive cautiously at reduced speeds in these conditions.
