In 1905, the spring-loaded wiper arm was patented. In 1913 it was replaced by a mechanical arm. Since then, the windshield wiper blade has pretty much remained the same...until now.
PIAA now offers a new clarity of vision in their silicone wiper blades. From the initial design process to extensive laboratory testing under the harshest conditions, this revolutionary windshield wiper blade outperforms every other blade currently on the market.
With safety and performance in mind, PIAA developed the Super Sporza Silicone Winged Wiper Blades. A modified version of the Super Silicone Wiper with a lightweight UV-resistant spoiler to hold this blade down under high speeds.
PIAA Technology
See how they work.
The wiper insert of all PIAA wiper blades is made of silicone rubber, which ensures greater visibility by coating the windshield with silicone to promote continuous water beading in inclement weather. Water beads up into droplets at low speeds that are easily removed by ordinary wiping. And at higher speeds, wind pressure pushes the water off the windshield, often without even requiring wiper use. The silicone coating also reduces drag and eliminates annoying and inefficient chattering, regardless of the shape of the windshield to provide greater comfort for both driver and passenger. And the best part is that PIAA Super Silicone Wiper Blades reapply the silicone coating every time the wipers are used.
PIAA wiper blades maintain a sharp, clean edge and offer better resistance to all climates (heat, ozone, ultra-violet) -- clearly out performing the industry standard rubber blade with their durability, as well.
That's what PIAA Super Sporza Silicone w/Spoiler Wiper Blades can do for you. They are so advanced it may be another century before windshield wiper blades improve again.

Amazing! At first, I did not even have to use my wipers after applying the wind shield treatment because the water was beading off the glass as I drive. When I did use my new wipers, they performed as expected: silently, smoothly, brilliantly. When you consider the cost of replacement for all these other newer, flatter wiper blades you realize these come out more affordable at just $9 for replacement inserts (you purchase the blades once and that's it). I have tried the Valeo blades and the Bosch Icon but both require purchasing whole new wiper blades over and over again and the cost adds up especially since the rubber does not hold up as long as the silicone in these PIAA blades. So, longevity, price point, and excellent performance make these a great alternative to stock replacement blades.

So far the blades have lasted ~5 years in the California sun, and are only now starting to deform a bit, but I think I can probably squeeze another year out of them. As advertised, the water beads up at low speed and blows off the windshield at high speed (without using the wiper blades). The only criticism I have is that newer blades have a flatter more aerodynamic profile. However, this is not enough of an issue for me to switch to this newer style. I will likely just buy new inserts next year as the refill cost is rather modest, the overall performance very good, and the durability - excellent!

Fantastic . I love these wiper blades. I cant get over how I was driving to work in very foul rainy weather with excellent visibility . I barely used the wipers during the drive, the beading of the silicone coating on the windshield is incredible . I highly recommend these.
