Does this tire fit your vehicle?

Tires are designed specifically for different vehicles and wheel sizes. Tell us about your vehicle or the specific size you want so we can help find the right tires for you.

Born on the track, the Eagle F1 Supercar 3R is Goodyear's Streetable Track & Competition tire originally developed for the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE and designed to deliver world-class handling, motorsports levels of traction and consistently fast laps. Like all summer tires, the Eagle F1 Supercar 3R is not intended to be serviced, stored, nor driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

Utilizing polymers and resins previously only used in racing slicks, the tread compound of the Eagle F1 Supercar 3R was selected from multiple iterations after extensive on-track evaluation. The asymmetric tread pattern and geometry were optimized through computer modeling before track testing determined the final design, which has a massive, low-void outboard shoulder to provide extreme levels of lateral grip. The rigid, notched center ribs offer responsive, precise steering and longitudinal grip, and the lateral notches and circumferential grooves aid wet traction.

The internal construction of the Eagle F1 Supercar 3R is designed to be lightweight to enhance steering and handling precision. The two-ply, rayon casing utilizes a high turn up to improve handling response, resulting in a three-ply sidewall. The two wide, steel belts are reinforced by a single, polyamide reinforcement ply.

Warning: Eagle F1 Supercar 3R radials meet DOT requirements, however, they are not recommended for driving in wet conditions where standing water is present and there is the risk of hydroplaning; drivers should drive cautiously at reduced speeds if they encounter these conditions. This is especially true of shaved or worn tires.

Note: Tires exposed to temperatures of 20 degrees F (-7 degrees C) or lower must be permitted to gradually return to temperatures of at least 40 degrees F (5 degrees C) for at least 24 hours before they are flexed in any manner, such as by adjusting inflation pressures, mounting them on wheels, or using them to support, roll or drive a vehicle.

Flexing of the specialized rubber compounds used in Streetable Track & Competition tires during cold-weather use can result in irreversible compound cracking. Compound cracking occurs as the result of improper use or storage, and Goodyear's warranty specifically excludes tires exhibiting this condition from coverage. Any tires exhibiting compound cracking must be replaced.

Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3R Reviews

Customer ratings show this track-focused tire delivers outstanding dry traction, with enthusiasts praising its race-like grip, consistent lap performance, and predictable handling at the limit. Reviewers highlight improved lap times and confidence in high-speed cornering, often comparing dry performance to dedicated racing slicks. Wet traction raises significant concerns, with users strongly advising against use in rain or below 60 degF due to hydroplaning risks and drastically reduced grip. Treadwear aligns with extreme-performance expectations, typically lasting 2-5 track days before cording, though aggressive driving accelerates wear. Ideal for dedicated track use, it requires proper warm-up and pressure management to maximize its capabilities while emphasizing it's unsuitable for daily driving or mixed conditions.

  • 48 negative

Customers report unacceptable wet traction, with many scoring 6 or below, noting the 3R becomes dangerously slippery even in light rain. Reviews highlight a tendency to hydroplane, slide unpredictably, and float on wet roads, with multiple warnings to avoid rain entirely. Tread depth and cold temps exacerbate issues, making wet performance a significant safety concern despite its track-focused design.

...they done do the greatest when it?s cold or wet outside...

This is an amazing track tire! Terrible when cold but when you give them a little heat, they are extremely sticky. But with all that performance come a few draw backs. It’s a louder tire so you’ll hear more road noise and they done do the greatest when it’s cold or wet outside. This should be purchased with performance driving in mine, wouldn’t consider it if all you wanted to do was daily drive.

...Do not use them in the rain. They have zero traction since they come brand new with 5/32 tread.

Awesome track tires for my Camaro ZL1 1LE. I was very disappointed that I paid a premium price for tires almost two years old. My next set of tires will probably be Michelin if I can't get new date codes. These are specifically designed for the car so they do an excellent job on the track. Do not use them in the rain. They have zero traction since they come brand new with 5/32 tread.

110 reviews mention "Treadwear"

  • 51 positive
  • 59 negative

Customers report rapid wear and premature cording, with many scoring 6 or below. Track use often results in cords showing after 2-3 days, requiring early replacement. Some noted less than expected mileage even with rotations, lasting only 100 laps or 3 sessions before tread depth became unsafe. While expected for track tires, wear rates left users disappointed in tread life.

...Tread wear is more like a TW 40-60 tire. They lasted 5 track days...

Fantastic track tire. I've tried many and this is now my favorite tire for the race track. It is also pretty quiet at highway speeds so the drive to/from the track is pleasant.

The grip is superb when warm and gets better as it gets hot. Not good on cold days, at least until warmed up.

Tread wear is more like a TW 40-60 tire. They lasted 5 track days. I didn't experience any heat cycling in that time.

...What I absolutely didn't like was the wear vs performance... instead of lasting 6-7 days of dry use, the Goodyears lasted 3 before showing signs of cording on the shoulders...

I’ve run a few different tires on my M2 at the track and the Goodyear SuperCar 3R has impressed in some and disappointed in others. First, I found these tires to provide excellent grip once they were up to temp. Without heat there is a lack of grip and should be treated with care, but warmup was fairly decent—not as quick as a super 200 but still moderately quick.
Once up to temp, I loved the feedback and response of the tire from full tread to cords. They handle combined inputs well and are communicative. My favorite aspect of the tire was its consistency through a session as they didn’t seem to overheat and could handle longer sessions without issue.
What I absolutely didn’t like was the wear vs performance. In lap times, I was on par with a scrubbed RE-71RS (a rapid tire in it’s own right) but instead of lasting 6-7 days of dry use, the Goodyears lasted 3 before showing signs of cording on the shoulders. They could’ve lasted maybe another half-day but it’s doubtful. For my use, I think I’ll stick with the RE-71RS and take the odd cooldown lap to save some money in initial purchase and extended tire life.

Fantastic tire. But I only got 3 days out of it on track. To be expected I suppose. Just not lasting long enough for HPDE. I switched to a 200 tw tire.
I may revisit this tire if I decide to do time trials.
