The Pilot Sport A/S Plus N-Spec is Michelin's High Performance All-Season tire developed in conjunction with Porsche for Panamera, Panamera 4, Panamera S, Panamera 4S, and even Panamera Turbo models as an optional all-season tire offering. Pilot Sport A/S Plus N-Spec tires are designed to combine comfort, handling and all-season traction, even in light snow.

The Pilot Sport A/S Plus N-Spec features an all-season tread compound molded into a symmetric pattern that helps balance dry, wet and wintertime traction. Stable shoulder blocks and a continuous center rib boost responsiveness and highway stability, while wide circumferential grooves help resist hydroplaning and 2-D Active Sipes improve handling in rain and snow.

The tire's internal structure features twin steel belts reinforced with Michelin's FAZ Technology (Filament At Zero degrees) that winds polyester and aramid/nylon cords spirally under the tread area to provide a stable feel and crisp steering, while polyester cord reinforced sidewalls enhance ride quality.

WARNING: Pilot Sport A/S Plus N-Spec tires feature a unique tread design that cannot be mixed with conventional Pilot Sport A/S Plus tires.

NOTE: While High Performance All-Season tires offer all-season versatility including traction in light snow, tire sizes featuring extremely wide tread widths may limit the traction this type of tire can provide in deep snow.

Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 ZP Reviews

Drivers find the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 ZP delivers outstanding dry traction, with enthusiasts praising "magical" grip, precise turn-in, and consistent performance during track days, autocross, and HPDE events. Many report achieving 1.2+ lateral Gs and improved lap times, though proper heat management (33-37 psi hot) and alignment are critical for optimal results. Wet traction receives mixed feedback, with some noting hydroplaning risks and reduced confidence in rain or cool temps (<50 degF). Treadwear concerns are common, with most users getting 4-12 track days or 5,000-13,000 street miles before cords show, though this is expected for extreme-performance tires. Track-focused buyers accept the tradeoffs, emphasizing its role as a street-legal track tool rather than a daily driver.

Enthusiasts note predictable behavior at the limit, with several reporting consistent lap times even as tread wears. While optimized for warm conditions, drivers emphasize quick warm-up times and linear feedback, making them a top choice for HPDE, autocross, and spirited track use.

...Once up to temp, these tire are magical! While the tire is heavy because of the the ZP sidewalls, it looks like Michelin has used that to the drivers advantage. The stiffness of the sidewall makes turn in immediate and precise. The traction seems almost limitless...

I purchased these tires for spirited back road driving, autocross and a few track days a year. I have owned Nitto NT01's before, using them for the same purposes. I couldn't get NT01s in a fitment for the C6 Z06 I purchased, so I decided to move to the Cup tires. I had heard that you need to be careful with them and make sure they're up to temperature. What I also heard was that they are hard to get up to temperature. That really made me hesitate. I like to go out early in the mornings for a drive when it can still be in the low 50's. Would there be an issue with temperature for me?

I took the leap and purchased the tires. What I found was yes, you do need to be aware of temperature for this tire, but they do come up to temp pretty quickly. I keep an eye on my tire pressure in the drive info system and when the pressure has gone up by 2 psi, I'm feeling the tire start to stick like it should. That normally happens within about 10 min of driving with a few hard stops...even on a cool morning.

Once up to temp, these tire are magical! While the tire is heavy because of the the ZP sidewalls, it looks like Michelin has used that to the drivers advantage. The stiffness of the sidewall makes turn in immediate and precise. The traction seems almost limitless. The tires are almost on par with the A7's I run for autocross...they don't come up to temp fast enough for autocross, but they are close to the A7 after about 4 runs of heat into them.

On the track and back roads, once up to temp, you feel like you can place the car pretty much anywhere and once set, the traction just goes on for days. You can tell when the tire starts to stick, so you don't have to guess. They are very communicative and I feel like they are telling me what is going on at the road level.

Down side is noise and stiffer ride than with a non-ZP tire.

Bottom line it is a great tire for spirited driving. Just let it come up to temperature and then you're good to go.

5. Very good steering feed back.
6. As you can imagine, you do not purchase this type of tire for mileage.

...Very little traction on wet pavement...

These tires are made for the track, but can be driven daily on the open road. They stick like glue when hot on dry pavement. Very little traction on wet pavement. Quite pleased with these tires on cornering and rapid acceleration. Best tires for aggressive driving.

...They have good wet weather traction unless under heavy throttle but hydroplane when rain is heavy on poorly drained roads...

OEM tires for ZTK package. Was pleasantly surprised with comfort and quietness of these tires even compared to Pilot Sport Zero Pressure. As a result when I replaced the original tires these were the choice. I do some track driving. They have good wet weather traction unless under heavy throttle but hydroplane when rain is heavy on poorly drained roads. They’re worth the trade-off!

This tire is amazing for summer driving or track driving. They are a bit noise on the road and not very friendly in the rain. The tread wear is excellent!!! The grip is insanely good for a street tire.

Customers report dissatisfaction with treadwear, noting rapid wear even within intended track use. Multiple reviews scoring 6 and below highlight cords showing after 5,000 miles, premature wear during HPDE events, and needing replacement after 7,000 street miles. While some accept short lifespan as trade-off for dry grip, many cite excessive wear rates as unacceptable for the price.

...Its the tread wear that it most concerning about this tire, as opposed to the factory tire for this vehicle...

tire is not the factory tire for this vehicle. But the grip and handling during auto cross, drag racing and rally running has been good. Its the tread wear that it most concerning about this tire, as opposed to the factory tire for this vehicle. We take some road trips in the vehicle but enjoy auto cross a couple times per season and running the U.S. Mile in Texas.

Pick your poison. Sticky track tires or concern for tread wear. The price for the factory tire and the sup series tires are about dead even
