The Destination LE3 is Firestone's Highway All-Season tire developed for drivers of light trucks, Crossovers, and SUVs looking for year round traction. Designed to deliver a quiet and comfortable ride, the Destination LE3 offers a long treadlife and confidence in inclement weather, including light snow.
The Destination LE3 features an advanced rubber compound molded into a symmetric tread design focused on delivering a smooth ride and precise clear road handling. Utilizing Firestone's TractionTech package, the Destination LE3 employs full-depth tread features that help retain consistent performance as the tire wears. Firestone's Hydro-Grip technology, which includes open shoulder slots and an optimized tread pattern, helps the Destination LE3 slice through water, reducing hydroplaning and aiding wet traction. An enhanced tread design uses full-depth 3D sipes providing confidence in winter conditions.
The internal structure is comprised of a polyester casing mated to two steel belts for durability, and a nylon reinforcement that further increases high speed stability.

If your driving experience keeps to paved and packed gravel surfaces, the Highway All-Season category is for you!
Ratings highlight excellence in the Firestone Destination LE3's highway all-season performance, with strong scores (9-10) in treadwear, comfort, and dry traction. Customers praise its long-lasting tread and smooth, quiet ride, noting consistent handling and responsive steering. Winter traction earns positive marks for snowy conditions, though ice performance shows occasional variability (scores 4-7). Wet grip and hydroplaning resistance are consistently rated 8-10, ensuring confidence in rain. Dry traction stands out as a top strength, with many users highlighting precise cornering and stability. These tires perform well on wet and dry roads...
These tires are very impressive. They have more than 30,000 miles on them but look like they have only gone 13,000. A massive majority of the miles are on the highway. These tires perform well on wet and dry roads. The two winters have been mild so snow performance is very limited. I don’t feel like I have enough expereince on snow to make a full opinion. They were great in the 2-4 inches but I also wonder how much of that was Subaru’s all-wheel drive (which is also impressive). The car/tires have never been off-road. Gravel roads is also limited, but has done well. I recently considered these for my other, older Subaru with a V6. A trusted tire guy told me while shopping he has seen some problems with this make and model of Firestone and suggested I try something else. The Firestones I purchased were from another location. I have no reason to think less of the Firestones regardless. This make and model was not my only tire consideration for my other Subaru. This Firestone tire is excellent.

...I was impressed with the performance of the tires in the recent snow. I pulled into some fairly deep snow, probably 8 to 10 inches, and was able to drive out without any troubles...
I'm on my second set of these tires. The fronts wore out prematurely due to an improper alignment done by a "professional" shop. Those two tires had to be replaced well before they should have been, but that's on the "professional" shop, not the tires. This most recent purchase of two tires were for the rear tires on my Suburban. I don't have the mileage to note how long the first two survived under normal city and highway driving, but they seem to have worn out too quickly for my taste, albeit an even wear on both. I'll be keeping a closer eye on mileage for both the new front and rear tires this time, and I have the mileage noted in my maintenance records for this purpose. I was impressed with the performance of the tires in the recent snow. I pulled into some fairly deep snow, probably 8 to 10 inches, and was able to drive out without any troubles. My Suburban is 2 wheel drive, not 4 wheel.

...Ride is better than with runflats (Touareg is comfortable to begin with) and I dont have any traction concerns...
Bought as a set with Rotiform STL 18 "Rims mounted with TPS sensors by tire rack. Package has been great! Tires were used mostly on northeast coast highway with a little city and light dirt paths up and down steep hills for camping totalling 8800 miles so far prior to switching to snow wheels and tires. Gained 5 miles per gallon from avg 19mpg up to 24mpg on my 2014 VR6 Touareg Exec. Tires have been quiet and show very little wear. Driving dynamics have not changed much from my 20" Runflats I had previously, which is impressive. Ride is better than with runflats (Touareg is comfortable to begin with) and I dont have any traction concerns. I would definitely get another set of these in 18".
