The ADVAN Fleva V701 is Yokohama's Ultra High Performance Summer tire developed for enthusiast drivers looking to add some fun to the drive in their sports cars, performance sedans and sporty coupes. The ADVAN Fleva V701 is designed to excel in warm dry and wet conditions, so like all Ultra High Performance Summer tires, it is not intended to be serviced, stored nor driven in near- and below-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

An advanced, nanoBLEND compound combines wear-resistant and high-fuel efficiency polymers with silica to combine dry and wet traction with long life and efficiency. The Two In One contrasting pitch of the tread pattern works to reduce noise for a quiet ride in addition to increasing pattern stability for improved performance. A solid center rib and near-solid shoulders help provide quick, precise handling and high-speed stability and on-center feel. Drop Point Grooves in the intermediate ribs evacuate water to the Jagged Circumferential Grooves, helping to resist hydroplaning and improve stopping distance in wet conditions.

The mold contour and construction of the ADVAN Fleva V701 is designed to evenly distribute pressure across the contact patch to optimize handling and braking traction, in addition to improving steering stability at high speeds.

Note: Tires exposed to temperatures of 20 degrees F (-7 degrees C) or lower must be permitted to gradually return to temperatures of at least 40 degrees F (5 degrees C) for at least 24 hours before they are flexed in any manner, such as by adjusting inflation pressures, mounting them on wheels or using them to support, roll or drive a vehicle.

Flexing of the specialized rubber compounds used in Ultra High Performance Summer tires during cold-weather use can result in irreversible compound cracking. Compound cracking is not a warrantable condition because it occurs as the result of improper use or storage. Tires exhibiting compound cracking must be replaced.

The wet traction is excellent, as I discovered when a major thunderstorm dumped a lot of water on the highway.

The Miata came with 17-inch wheels, so until I replace them with 15-inch wheels, I got these Yokohama tires to use for street and some track driving. At 300 TW, they are not as sticky as a 200 TW obviously, but I am quite happy with the tire's overall performance. On track, the tires are better than I expected and very predictable. When traction breaks, the tires simply slide, with no tendency to 'snap' unexpectedly.

The wet traction is excellent, as I discovered when a major thunderstorm dumped a lot of water on the highway. On public roads, tire noise is insignificant even with the top down, and no complaints with the ride. The wear rate suggests that I won't get more than 2 seasons out of them, but as the car is tracked, that has to be factored into the tread life.

...Great in the rain as well. Stable, unless in hitting a massive puddle never hydroplaned on standing water.

Absolutely amazing tires. In the dry miata is super stable. On/off ramps will make you giggle with how much grip get. Bit noisey but being a miata not much to dampen the sound. Great in the rain as well. Stable, unless in hitting a massive puddle never hydroplaned on standing water.

...These tires offer excellent dry traction and are more playful than a 200 tw tire might be...

I've had all summer to experience these tires and love driving them at 9/10ths. Road noise is acceptable even after a many miles and tread wear has been good considering driving style and alignment. Very good turn-in and steering feel, predictable near the limits. These tires offer excellent dry traction and are more playful than a 200 tw tire might be. Since I don't have ABS I prefer not to drive too much in the rain but I have confidence if I need to drive in wet weather. Took the Miata to Deals Gap this summer and had a few others comment on how well they like these tires considering the low price. Can't comment on track or autocross use but I definitely recommend for stock hp car driven on the back roads of southern Ohio.

Good tires. Show their true colors after initial break in. Good but not great tires for tropical South Florida downpours. Tire really excels in dry conditions. Good feedback. Gives plenty of warning before loosing traction. Great tire for this price point.

...Dry traction and braking are superb...

In mid-2025, I purchased my second full set of 195/50-15 Yokohama ADVAN Fleva V701 tires for my 1988 Honda CRX-Si. The first set lasted four years and more than 48,000 miles of often spirited driving. They didn't actually wear out, but I decided that they were old enough for replacement. Dry traction and braking are superb, and wet-weather traction and braking are good. The ride quality is firm and responsive, which I prefer.

I purchased these tires as my Miata came with 17-inch wheels and I wanted a summer tire that would be suitable for occasional track days but still be usable in overall driving on public roads. Generally, I am very happy with the Yokohama ADVAN Fleva V701 tires. The noise level from the tires on the highway is not a factor, and the ride is decent. The only negative is that one of the tires has a heavy spot, according to the tire shop that mounted them, so it took two tries for them to get the balance right. There's still a bit of vibration, but it's tolerable. Miatas tend to be very sensitive to wheel balance.

On track, I was very happy with the tire's performance. The grip was excellent, and it remained that way for all four of my track sessions. They were very predictable and gave me some warning when they were about to slide. Granted, it wasn't very hot that day, so it will be interesting to see how they perform on track on a hotter day. My last Miata had 200 TW tires and the performance of these 300 TW Yokohama's seemed just as good.

When I drove away from the shop, the difference between the Yokohama's and my old Bridgestone RE11's was like night and day. I am referring specifically to the ride on the
potholed and rough roads in Michigan which are in terrible condition. I figured I probably had given up a significant amount of handling and braking for ride quality. Once I set up my suspension (a bit later) and took it out for a test drive I found that there was no discernable loss-in fact it handled better than it ever did with excellent steering feedback. Partly, this could be due to my new suspension settings but I would like to think the Yokohama's extra sidewall compliance (very stiff/minimal with the RE11's) did not compromise handling. Unfortunately, I did not get to put many miles on them (before storing the car for the winter) and never drove in the rain. Otherwise, they work well on a NB Miata and I love them! Will be taking the car to the track later this Summer to give them a real test.

Overall, just a great tire choice for I think most drivers. Compared to the previous tires I used (Toyo Proxes R1R), these tires still give me about 90% of the performance in the dry, but with significantly more treadwear. To me, that is worthy of the trade off. Less outright stick and response, but significant gains in comfort and durability. In the wet, it's no contest the Yokohama's are significantly better than the Toyo's. Unless you are looking for the absolute limits, the Yokohama's are a an extremely worthy choice to consider.

Great tire! The threadwear rating is a little higher than what I usually look (I prioritize grip over longevity) for but they handle very well. I pushed them pretty hard on the Tail of the Dragon and other fun mountain roads and was impressed. As good as the P6000 and PZeros I have on my other cars. Excellent price too.
