Bridgestone Dueler H/T D840 

After only driving 1.5 years and 22,000 miles a set of Bridgestone H/T they are worn to the point of replacement. After a couple close calls with sliding this winter I took the car into the garage for analysis. The shop mechanic stated that continuing to drive on the tires is putting my family at risk for an accident. I am highly disappointed in Bridgestone's quality! I will probably not exercise the warrant because I don't want another set of Bridgestone tires on my family SUV.

Lost a potential long term customer!

Tires factory installed on 2012 Tacoma.So far I've driven 26,000 trouble free miles on them,mostly city/highway.Live in the southwest so can't rate snow/ice performance.I have no complaints about the wet/dry road condition performance.They pretty much perform like most tires I've had on light trucks.Quiet/smooth riding with predictable traction & control on wet or rough roads.When I replace these tires it will probably be with Firestone Destination LE2s.I prefer Firestone light truck tires compared to other brands.

I have had these tires since I purchased my 4runner new in 2005. I have put 55k on them and they have plenty of tread left for another 10-15k easily. Dry traction has been excellent, wet traction excellent, slushy snow traction excellent. However, Snow traction when the temperature is below 20 degrees is awful. Ice traction is non-existant in the cold temps. 3 seasons of the year I love the tire but Minnesota winters are a scary time for this tire. If you live in a southern climate I highly recommend this tire, but I'm swithching to a set of Michelin LTX M/S2 this time around.

I am surprisingly pleased with these tires when compared to other reviews, but it may be due to some special circumstances and use cases that I''ll describe. I actually have 6 of these tires, so I follow a 6-wheel rotation schedule, which obviously reduces tread wear rate. However, after more than 15k miles, the lowest tread depth is just below 10/32nds, so pretty good given that I measured them at 11/32nds brand new. I''ve taken the Lexus off road one time - no problem whatsoever with the tires or traction in that rocky, dry session. On road, they are just as smooth and quiet as the Michelin LTX M/S 2s that we use as winter tires on a separate set of wheels. The GX460 is far from a smooth riding vehicle - I''d say outright harsh, so it is a bit harder to judge how much the tires do or don''t contribute. Yes, the total mileage on these tires has been tracked separately from the Michelins, so it is really 15.5k miles.

I think I''ve only made them howl one time in a sharp turn. They make very loud noises under ABS-assisted panic braking, but seem to grip well in those anxious times. Wet traction seems fine, but that could be the sophisticated full-time 4WD system of this vehicle. I don''t think I''ve ever lost forward traction. They do hydroplane slightly, and that will surely worsen as the tread wears down. With my dedicated set of Michelins for the winter, I''ve never tried these in cold, ice, or snow, so that may be a large part of my positive experience. If the overall average to slightly better performance keeps up as tread wears down, I''d consider purchasing these again, for the right price.

These tires came on my Lexus GX460 and I'll admit that I was disappointed that it didn't come with Michelins. I still think the Michelin looks much better, but the performance of the Bridgestone has been very good. The ride is smooth and comfortable. The noise level is a bit more than I would prefer. Overall the OE tire Bridgestone is an acceptable tire with good performance.

OE tires on my 4Runner. After 50,000 miles they still have 5/32 to 7/32 of the original 11/32 tread left. The front two were worn a little more due to small alignment issue. I got a more even wear across tires at 40 psi. (less edge wear. In the Mid-Atlantic weather mix these were reliable tires in all weather except snow. During the occasional 12 to 16 inch Nor'easter snow storms the tires were unremarkable; as the tread pattern tended to load with snow, but I still managed to get around. In light snow they work well enough for a All-season tire. Comfort, quiet and long lasting are what makes this tire standout.

OE tires on my FJ Cruiser, purchased in March 2008. Tires are fantastic for wear, with 53,000 miles on them and only about half of the tread life used. Tires are quiet and comfortable, as well as wear evenly.

My only complaint with the tire is that they are average or slightly below other tires I have experienced in the snow - probably a 4/10. If I lived somewhere warmer, I would absolutely get these again, but too much snow here and feel the Continental LX20 is a better fit for me in Wisconsin.

Amazing Ride Quality, very quiet, with outstanding wearability with 97,721 miles. on the right side has hit the wear bars, the left side is still above the wear bars but I will be ordering a fresh set. Key is tire rotation at 5 k miles and lots of air in the tires and a steady foot with alot of anticipation on the highway. Regards from a retired 30 year pro driver.....................

I am over 66,000 miles on the original tires that came with my 2005 4Runner. I have rotated the tires every 5,000 miles. Will probably replace the tires by this winter. I have been impressed with the tread wear and quality. Plan to purchase the same tires since I have the Extended Mileage Warranty on the tires. Would not hesitate to purchase the same tire if I was not reimbursed. Only reason I would consider another tires is to give the vehicle a more rugged look.

These are the OEM tires on my 4Runner.

Let me start with the good: I've had excellent tread wear. I currently have 55K miles on these tires and quite possibly could get another 10K out of them. Tires have been rotated EVERY 5K miles. Haven't experienced any noise issues and handling seems OK. 95% of my driving is highway, with very little light-offroad. I've never had any problems with hydroplaning.

The only real complaint I have is they are not very good in snow (doesn't matter if it's light/medium/heavy). Granted, I have full-time 4-wheel drive, so I likely have not experienced any traction issues that other drivers had, but even with AWD, I feel like the tires slip a bit too much in snowy conditions.

Again, maybe my AWD jades my review abit, but all in all, I think these are decent tires if all you drive is highway with a little snow every now and then.

With that said, I likely will not be buying these tires again--I just want something a little more aggressive looking (in case I need to rock crawl some curbs, haha). I think these are a good highway tire with outstanding tread wear. A quick little math tells me these tires have costed me 1.1 cents/mile (55K miles at $640 for a set of 4).

Original tires on 2006 Toyota Tacoma. Tires are fine in good driving conditions. Low noise and provide comfortable drive. Have problems - tires spin and hop - on wet roads and in snow usually need to be in 4x4 to be able to get going from stop signs. Not happy with o/a performance and will be buying something else next time.

Bought vehicle in 2011. Dealer had new Dueller H/T D840 tires installed. It's now 2015 and in 4 years I've got 60,000+ miles on these tires and about half the tread still left. The wear is very uniform. Rotate every 5k miles. Very smooth and quiet. My only complaint is that they are terrible in the snow, but for a southern state I would recommend these tires. But since I live in the Mid-Atlantic region, I need something better in the snow.

I've had two sets of these tires on my 2WD Tundra and I am not pleased with their wet traction nor their snow/ice traction. Back tires spin from dead stops when raining and I have fish tailed on multiple occasions with light snow on the ground. Thankfully the front tires kept their grip in these situations. I guess this can be expected from a pickup truck with light back end, but I have to assume some of it is due to the tires based on the poor wet traction. Why did I buy a second set of these tires you may ask? Well, the first set lasted a long time and they were priced well. I have decided to go with the Yokohama Geolander A/T this time around so we'll see how they compare. I will try to remember and update this review once I have had a chance to see how the new tires perform. I would not recommend these tires, at least not for a 2WD pickup truck.
