The Winterforce 2 UV is Firestone's Studdable Winter/Snow tire designed for the owners of crossovers, minivans, light trucks and SUVs looking for traditional wintertime traction on dry, wet and snow-covered roads.

Tread CalloutsFirestone Winterforce 2 UV radials feature a special cold-weather compound molded into a directional tread pattern. Deep circumferential grooves, wide lateral notches and open shoulder slots help channel slush and standing water away from the contact patch to aid hydroplaning resistance, and the high sipe density tread pattern provides thousands of biting edges for grip in snow and on ice. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts on top of a polyester casing to combine strength with ride quality.

Winterforce 2 UV radials meet the industry's severe snow service requirements and are branded with the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.

Install Winterforce 2 UV tires in sets of four only.

Molded to accept optional TSMI #11 blue-colored metallic winter studs.

...I've been very pleased with the performance of these tires in the snow and on ice...

Switched to these after 4 years on Blizzacks. The Blizzacks handled snow well but had poor traction on ice. I live in an area that gets a decent amount of snow and lots of ice. I often found myself sliding after I came to a complete stop on a slight hill (when icy).

I decided I wanted to try to find a studdable tire that would fit my truck, found these. I had studs installed by tirerack, zero issues there.

I've been very pleased with the performance of these tires in the snow and on ice. No more sliding on icy hills.

Shortly after purchasing these tires we got a heavy wet Vermont snow storm; the roads were a mess, people driving were even worse!
But I felt safe and confident in my vehicle with my new tires, navigating icy spots, snow drifts and plowing through mounds of wet snow. Like a boss! Other drivers would look over and I would just wink as I zoomed on by.
One of my friends even sent me a message that day saying roads are bad, and I replied, not bad at all for me! I told her excellent tires make all the difference.

...They have never lost traction in slush, snow or ice. Steering and cornering control on snow/slush/ice covered highways is excellent...

Purchased these tires, with studs, for northern NY winter driving two winters ago. They have never lost traction in slush, snow or ice. Steering and cornering control on snow/slush/ice covered highways is excellent. It is the go to vehicle/tire set up for my family and friends when we need to travel in the most severe winter conditions. Have a very long and steep (30%) driveway that remains snow covered from December to March. Tires aways find traction and most impressively these tires are able to stop the car anywhere on the driveway descent ensuring we do not slide out into traffic. Tires also handle the driveway in November when iced over blacktop is the main challenge. Tires handle fine on bare roads although the studs do make some noise. Noise is well worth the traction these tires bring when needed. Have not noticed any appreciable wear. Also bought the same tire and stud set up for a 2018 Suburban that plows the steep driveway. Excellent on the truck as well.

...my experience with studs is they have worse traction on dry ground...

I'm very pleased with the snow/ice traction of these tires. I was surprised how well they maintained traction the first time I drove on snow. I had considered getting studs, but these are great on their own (plus my experience with studs is they have worse traction on dry ground).

...They do wear faster than summer tires, but that's just because they are made with a softer rubber for winter conditions so to be expected...

Winter force tires are a great option for winter tires. Ive bought at least 5 sets of these over the years on several different vehicles. I live in Park City UT (400 in plus snowfall a year). These tires do very well in winter conditions. I actually started running them year around because the cost to switch them back forth each ski season was more than just buying a whole new set. They do excellent in snow/ice. I’ve never ran them with studs, never needed it with 4WD. I’ve driven through 3 plus feet of unplowed snow in 4WD literally through roads that are in the top part of ski resorts, these things are awesome. They do wear faster than summer tires, but that’s just because they are made with a softer rubber for winter conditions so to be expected. Best bang for the buck, highly recommend. Only other option I’ve run is Blizzaks, but they are quite a bit more expensive, and frankly I don’t think I can tell the difference. Get a set of 4, awesome tires. WinterForce for the WIN

I've ended up being forced to drive on these tires for a year now because of life but for a year of hard driving in almost every condition I am over impressed with how well they have held up and how amazing they handle in the snow anyone that's owned and old boat like my 89 Cadillac knows how important traction is and these tires delivered I am at this point going to continue to drive these tires to see how well they do and see how long I can go before needing to change I would highly recommend these and would definitely buy again I've got roughly 8000 miles on them so far and the tread has held up hardly any ware
