I recently purchased the Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season Run Flat tires from Tire Rack, and I couldn’t be more satisfied. These tires are a game-changer for anyone looking for a perfect blend of safety, comfort, and year-round performance. I have purchased these tires in the past from Tire Rack and it has always been an excellent purchase. Highly recommended. Amos was awesome as usual, appreciate the customer service again with you.

From the moment they were installed, I noticed a quieter, smoother ride, even on rougher surfaces. The run-flat feature is a huge bonus—it adds an extra layer of security knowing I can still drive safely in the event of a puncture, this feature is peace of mind for my wife , this is her primary car to begin with. I need the convenience of run-flat tires. I need all-weather performance, as I do a lot of traveling in the upper Midwest during the winter. I want a comfortable, quiet ride. Yet, I also want spirited performance under dry conditions and wet conditions. I do not need off-road capabilities. This tire fulfills a reasonable balance of these opposing factors. This is my third set of these tires on my BMW X5 35d MSport. I got about 38K miles from the last two sets. I expect the same from this set. So, as long as you don't want extreme handling/braking performance, 60K tread life, or off-road capabilities in a run-flat tire, this is a terrific choice.

By the way, this was my first time using TireRack and the buying experience could not have been easier. TireRack offered me choices that my local retailers (Sam's Club, Costco, PepBoys, NTB, and independent shops) could not. The regional distribution center shipped the tires to my independent installer in 3 days. The independent installer recommended by TireRack (Firestone, Opelika, AL) was very professional. I will be using TireRack for my future tire purchases.

This will be my third set of Scorpion Verde's on a 2014 Grand Cherokee SRT. On wet and dry roads, these tires are excellent. They grip like they were made of velcro. There is little to no noise. The two downsides are tread wear and winter driving. For tread wear, they are a soft tire so understandably, you won't get more than 20-25,000 miles out of a set if you drive aggressively. For snow, you may as well park your vehicle as driving on snow or ice is like driving with thru snot on tires made of marble. There is absolutely no grip. It ain't happening. That is why these are called 3-season tires. For winter, I recommend switching out to Blizzaks which I've been doing for years.

Very happy with the tires. An OE replacement when I purchased the vehicle. I feel while the run flats do offer a little louder and stiffer ride, they're still a comfortable ride and I know I can rely on them in whatever weather I'm driving in. They powered thru 8" of unplowed snow recently without issue, and overall glazed/ice pack they do well on.

We recently had a 1/2" of freezing rain that coated our roads, and nothing helps with that, but I was able to least maneuver around enough to know it wasn't a good idea to go out.

Overall, I would recommend these tires hands down.

Purchased these to replace OEM Michelins that were well worn at 32,000 mi and were not the best in winter driving conditions even when newer. Overall the winter performance was very good with good traction on acceleration and braking in both icy and snow packed conditions. Dry and wet performance was also very good both in city and mountain driving. Since these run flats come with no tread warranty I expected a relatively short life for these tires of around 30-35k mi and they lasted 28,000 mi. The tread life was a bit dissapointing since the tire does handle well in all conditions and there are not many options out there in this size for run flats. Would probably buy again if I only wanted run flats because of their winter performance but switching to Continental Cross Contact LX 25 non RF and relying on a portable pump and goo instead for the next set of tires.

These tires have far exceeded my expectations. They have been excellent tires overall delivering a comfortable ride, good braking performance and traction on all surfaces. We live in a foothills/mountainous area but relatively mild climate so no real problems with snow or ice but quite a bit of rain and heat. Based on reviews I have read previously, the tread wear has been much better than what many people claim to have experienced and the ride comfort far exceeds what was expected again based on other reviews. With the great suspension system of the Q7, the ride is almost as good as our Audi A8L which is the best ride comfort we have ever experienced on any vehicle including our Lexus LS vehicles. I definitely plan to replace these OEM tires with the exact same replacement when the time comes which is in about 15 thousand miles at the current rate of wear.

I ran my first full set of Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season Run Flat tires for about 58,000 miles before replacing them. They probably had another 1,000 miles left, but I decided it was time. I stayed on top of balancing, alignment, and rotations, which helped them wear evenly.

Most of my driving is highway, and these tires always felt stable and predictable at speed. Handling remained solid throughout their life. I never had any concerns with grip in normal all season conditions.

As the tread wore down they did get noticeably louder compared to the brand new set I installed over the weekend. That difference reminded me how quiet they were when new. The increase in road noise was gradual and expected toward the end of the tread life.

They are definitely more expensive than non run flat tires, which is the biggest downside. Still, the convenience of the run flat design has value. I had one puncture during the life of the set. Pirelli states a puncture can be repaired with a patch plug, and that repair held without any issues for the remainder of the tire’s life.

Overall I was happy with the performance and mileage. Getting nearly 60,000 miles from a run flat performance tire while maintaining good highway handling made them worth buying again.

I drove 40,000 miles on these, but really should have replaced at 30,000. The tire was awesome for driving for all conditions. It was a great whether wet or dry. Great for cornering and a smooth ride. In reality I only got this great ride on the tires for 30,000 miles. I absolutely loved driving on this tire while it lasted, but the life was just too short.

Far quieter and more comfortable than the previous run flats I had.

This has been a very good set of tires so far for our ‘21 Q7 Prestige. The ride is quiet, stable, predictable and comfortable. They have never shown any signs of breaking loose on wet surfaces and are wearing very evenly and as expected. A recent rotation and balance indicates a tread depth that should yield about 37-38 thousand miles which is very acceptable by me. I have not driven in any snow as yet but given their overall traction and with Audi Quattro, no reason to believe that they would not be quite able to handle light snow just fine. No tire does well on ice. I would definitely buy them again.

2. Something was redesigned since the last set because these are so quiet and comfortable compared to the others. The thread pattern is definitely different. So, for my car, these are probably the best and I would recommend

Horrible treadlife. This is my 3rd pair of these runflats. All 3 lasted only about 18-20k rated for 65k. Going to try Continentals next for sure.

COMPLETE JUNK. Tire warranty is 65,000 miles, I got less than 16,000 on them at this point and they are at 2/32, 3/32, 3/32, and 4/32. They were installed in 6/2020, this is 11/2024.
These are on my wife's van, and the typically doesn't even do the speed limit when driving. I rotate my own tires, so I cannot provide documentation for any pro-rated warranty claim. Four years and 16k is completely unacceptable for a tire that was $120 a piece. I was a fan of Pirelli, but I will never buy another Pirelli again after this experience.

great tire if cost not a factor, tread wear stinks, not to be plugged, i found someone who did it successfully anyway.
