The PARADA Spec-X is Yokohama Tire's Street/Sport Truck All-Season radial developed for performance pickups and SUVs, as well as modern muscle cars like the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger and Dodge Magnum. The PARADA Spec-X is designed to combine impressive looks and confident handling with year-round traction in North America's wide range of weather conditions, including in light snow.
The PARADA Spec-X radial's all-season tread compound is molded into an aggressive directional tread design that features linked shoulder blocks, variably sized intermediate tread blocks and two continuous center ribs to combine acceleration, braking and cornering competence with a comfortable ride. A wide circumferential center groove and sweeping lateral grooves provide water evacuation to resist hydroplaning and increase wet traction. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by spirally wrapped nylon to provide strength, uniformity and durability on top of a polyester cord body that enhances ride quality.

...good in the rain storm we had coming home...
Got these based on the reviews by Cayenne owner here in TireRack. Great tire. Low noise. Drove from Boston to Quebec (400+ miles) and back for long weekend. Great ride, quiet and good in the rain storm we had coming home. For the price compared to Conti or Michelin you couldn't find a better tire.

I've only been on these for about 500 miles, but had to go in to work during the crazy snow and deep freeze we have had here in Chicago and the tires performed admirably. Much better than the stock Goodyears. I was most impressed driving home from the suburbs, about 30 miles, at night on the nearly unplowed snow packed freeway. The car felt rock stable in conditions that would have had me in the ditch on the stock Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 M+S's. There is a little bit of tread growl and I do notice a slight range reduction, but the added stability in a corner and sure footedness in snow and icy conditions MORE than make up for it!

...Dry grip is not bad but not what I would like for my SRT8. For example if I try to do a 0-60 time I can hear the front tires breaking loose...
Hi all so as you can see I own a Jeep GC SRT8. I had to get rid of my stock Pirelli Scorpion Ice and Snow tires and was recommended to purchase the Yokohama Prada Spec X. My initial reaction was much more comfortable but poor performance. Then I figured the performance is so sub par because the tire was so new i needed to break them in. So after several hundred miles the tires felt better. Dry grip is not bad but not what I would like for my SRT8. For example if I try to do a 0-60 time I can hear the front tires breaking loose. Wet grip is horrible, if you are not careful it will hydroplane from the smallest puddles and it will under-steer on turns. In the snow I did not think they were so bad. Compared to my previous ICE and SNOW Pirellis they did not do too bad in the snow, rain and dry. Ride quality was much better then the Pirelli run flats. Road noise was good but now that i am reaching 20-25k miles on them they are getting noticeably noisy. As far as tread-wear goes im at 20-25k miles added and tires still look relatively new. So my verdict is if you are looking for a performance all season tire that could get the most performance out of your car I would skip this and look at something more expensive. If you are not such a performance freak and just need a decent tire look no further these last a long time, have decent grip in the dry and are really affordable. So essentially performance car owners look elsewhere. All other car owners the price suggests you give it a try.

...Brand new these tires were nearly perfect... the ride quality, noise, handling, snow capability, and overall traction was fantastic...
I have about 18k miles on my tires in my SRT Grand Cherokee. I opted for these tires because they are much more reasonably priced than the $500/tire OEM Pirelli's. I also opted for this tire because they are NOT run flats which helped reduce the feedback in the steering wheel for normal driving and overall improved the ride quality quite a bit (this does impact handling, but I'm not tracking the car, so the handling is still very good especially when stiffening the suspension in Sport/Track modes). By the time my original Pirelli's were worn (after just 15k miles) the car would dart different directions depending on the ruts in the road. The worn tires made this particularly bad. Buying these tires were a great choice and I stand by the purchase.
Brand new these tires were nearly perfect... the ride quality, noise, handling, snow capability, and overall traction was fantastic. My only complaint and my lowest rating for the tire was for noise, mainly because at around 15k miles, the tires started to get noticably louder. It was probably a gradual progression, but didn't really notice it until 15k miles. The tread depth is still solid, so they aren't completely worn like the Pirelli's, but around 50mph, the noise is starting to become quite noticable. At higher speeds the noise isn't as noticable, but the overall road noise is higher than before. Low speeds is still OK.
Anyway, for this vehicle, this is a great option... I noticed Michelin has come out with a PIlot Sport to fit this vehicle, if you're willing to spend an additional $100/tire, it may be worth a try. But, for $200/tire, this has been a fantastic buy. In the end I would highly recommend. I'm hoping to get another 10k minimum off of these tires... as long as the noise doesn't get out of control

...Thread wear is great ( about 45,000 miles per set)...
I have used this tires on both of my trucks for the last eight years or so. For my driving this are the best for my money. Thread wear is great ( about 45,000 miles per set) traction on all conditions is great as well. I have used similar sets from other brands and this are the tires that deliver the traction am looking for.

I have to say these tires are awesome and you'll get your moneys worth in treadwear and performance. The tread was good to pass inspection to at least 35,000 miles...
I first installed these on my 2016 RR SVR on a set of custom rims 285/40/22. I then carried the rim/tire set over to a 2021 SVR. Combined miles between the 2 vehicles is around 45,000 miles. I probably let this set go too long but when the pandemic hit it was not easy to find tires for a while. I have to say these tires are awesome and you’ll get your moneys worth in treadwear and performance. The tread was good to pass inspection to at least 35,000 miles. I just bought a new set since the winter is coming and these won’t last another season. I’ve owned every kind of tire at this point and these really impressed me. The fact that a set is $800 less than the Pirelli’s is just an added bonus. Great looking tread pattern to boot. I highly recommend these tires for a really good all season high performance durable tire. My set has been all throughout the rough NYC streets and long highway drives upstate. Never a flat, bubble or any issue. If you ever driven on NYC roads then you would be impressed. I’ve blown many tires out here but never these!

Great tires! much better than the original tires that came on the SUV. good traction in light snow. I don't drive this vehicle in big snow storms, tires are too wide for deep snow. great handling, and great treadwear. 20,000 miles and still 50% tread left. would definitely buy again!
