The battery is about 30 lbs lighter then the "stock" item. It is also smaller and takes up less space. I had intended to use it only on autocross days,and it worked great. But changing it for events took a lot of time, so I left it in over the summer and it worked well....Except I found that if I left my trunk open at work (to retrieve tools, or if a door was left a jar with the dome light on it would discharge quickly. I remedied that by taking out the trunk light and turning off the dome light. So, great for a sporting car, not so good for a daily driver.
It's been 9 months since i bought this 9 pound beauty.The battery is sold as a(race only)however it's been great in my 77 vw rabbit which really isn't a race car. The 9 pound Braille has no problem starting even with a electric fuel pump! In a little vw the weight difference can be felt! FYI the vw has a electric fan
Had the battery in my car and it didn't even last 3 months of mostly sitting. Even my odyssey batteries lasted longer. Deka batties are identical and much less $$
