I have 3 sets of tire duffels for all our vehicles. I use Tire Rack storage racks placed high on the garage wall to store off-season wheels/tires, and these duffels make it much easier to haul the wheels up and down the ladder. They do a nice job of protecting wheels as well. The open design means dust & bugs definitely still get it, so I would recommend the wheel felts as well to close off the openings and add a layer of protection between wheels. Keep in mind a set of 4 felts leaves the back or front open so you really need 5 for a set of 4 wheels. These even fit my RS6 Avant 22” wheels without a problem! Love this product!
These tire totes are perfect for 17 inch wheels and/or tires. They are a little too small for 18 inch wheels or tires. The handle is a nice feature. They are reasonably priced and hold up wheel. Keeps the vehicle clean while transporting, keeps the tires protected and clean in storage and makes them a lot easier to handle them.
I’ve used these for about 10 months now. 2X a month to bring my auto cross wheels and tires up and down to the car. Super simple to use, makes carrying the wheels like a luggage bag easy. The problem is where the handles are sewn on, the material starting the fray and I’m getting a little uneasy because if they snap. There goes my expensive wheel tire down a second story flight of stairs. Could hit a car or a person.
I called tire rack and they sent me a new set as a courtesy so we will see how these hold up. If I would change one thing and one thing only it would be that it needs to be more durable where the handle is stitched.
Great price on a great product! Much thicker and more heavy duty than the others you’ll find elsewhere. They really make handling the tires/wheels much easier and less dirty. They cover enough of the wheel to protect those too (I thought I might need felt pads, but these are just fine). I’m very happy with them and would suggest them to anyone storing wheels/tires for both functionality and appearance.
These are the most durable duffels I have been able to find. They have rip stop in the sides and the canvas in the middle seems a bit thicker than online brands. I don’t care about center felts. The way they are designed with the open center makes them easy to pick up by the spokes or by the handle.
This set has the “tire rack” logo on them. They do NOT have windows/cards to show the tire location (like right front).
The other set on sale at tire rack is the exact same except it doesn’t have the logo and it DOES have tire location cards and little clear windows to slip them in. I prefer that, but having 2 slightly different sets of duffels helps with organization.
Unfortunately, the tire storage Duffels are not adequately sized for the tires on my 2023 Corvette. I knew this when I made the purchase, but I would have been more pleased had they had a model of adequate size. A set of the Duffels worked fine for my 2008 Corvette. The car tire sizes have outgrown the product size.
Tire duffel bags are not a necessity but make the appearance of my garage clean and organized. I purchased a winter tire and wheel set for my Audi SQ5, and the tire duffel bags are the cherry on the cake. I would recommend these to anyone who appreciates the appearance of their garage space.
I needed to store my summer wheels (17" Enkei RPF1's in gunmetal) for the winter, so I went with the Tire Rack tire duffels and tire felts. I've never really stored wheels/tires for winter, but this time since getting new wheels I wanted to store them properly. I cleaned the wheels put the duffels on the then the felts, and put wheels in the attic, the process took less then 10 minutes. I may not have the most expensive wheels but I still wanted the protection. I would recommend this combo for anyone especially the folks with more expensive wheels if they need to store wheels for the winter or just in general.
These are tire bags for off-season tire storage. Durable and strong. Would buy again. There's folklore out that that tires ought to stored in air tight, UV resistent containers. Also folklore that tires when stored ought to be rotated. Would be nice to up the design for the first, and maybe provide customers some reminder system for the second.
