The car is a 1984 corvette, prepared to compete in the One Lap of America. Brakes upgraded to the C5 style front and rear calipers with 3" cooling ducts to the front rotors. Two prior years of One Lap competition resulted in front rotor failure with either cracking or warpage, after the time trial events at the tracks with significant high speed potential, such as Road America, Brainerd and Daytona, and required replacement during the event. This year I purchased and installed the Dba 5000 series two piece rotors and have been very pleased to find they were up to the task and appear to have significant life remaining after the event.

Just to let you guys know these things work great on track for our heavy 3800+ Camaros. Not as good as the DTC 60 and up but still great and oh get this, I also use these everyday on the street. Even in extreme cold temps they stop better than stock, very little brake dust and rotor wear and only makes noise after track use but falls off with street driving. My only thing is that I need more torque from high speed braking on track but man I love these pads. Wheels are easy to clean even when it rains.

This is my first time installing steel-braided brake lines on any vehicle, so I didn t know what to expect in driving and performance. I expected to feel a change in pedal feel, but was initially disappointed since I didn t feel much of a difference. The Si s brakes were already tight and did not experience significant fade or have a mushy feel to begin with. Also, I had recently flushed the brake fluid in the system.

However, after a week of driving and pushing the car, I am very impressed with the product. I have been surprised on various occasions with the quick response to brake input. The pedal still travels smoothly and feels the same unless I stand on the brakes, in which case there is a more solid response near the end of the pedal travel. The greatest improvement is the brake response itself. They engage sooner and there is a more linear response to input.

Overall, I would recommend this to anyone looking for an easy, low-cost, bolt-on brake performance upgrade. The product is of high quality and includes all required materials in the box. Items were sufficiently packaged and segregated to minimize shipping damage. Everything fit as necessary and I did not need make modifications to fit this in my car. And of course, kudos to the Tire Rack for excellent packaging and delivery.
