Accounts Receivable Associate I

Description

Under General Supervision of the Accounts Receivable Supervisor, the Accounts Receivable Associate (Level I) is responsible for the receipt and accounting of funds received. The Accounts Receivable Associate ensures invoices are accurate and proper accounting procedures are adhered to record the receipt of payment for goods and services.

Responsibilities

  • Records payments received from customers accurately and timely.
  • Researches and solves payment discrepancies.
  • Processes account adjustments as necessary.
  • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are properly documented.
  • Communicates with Credit and Customer Service departments concerning unauthorized deductions, overpayments, and other account-related issues.

Qualifications

  • High School or GED diploma, required.
  • Minimum of 1 year applicable experience
  • Beginner to intermediate Excel skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills to build productive internal/external working relationships.
  • Basic math knowledge and 10 Key skill required.
  • Strong written skills for email and written follow-up correspondence
  • Working knowledge of AS400 systems preferred, but not required.
